Piper at the front desk and Lauren, my massage therapist, were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lauren mentioned she had over 17 years of experience and it showed. Her technique was impeccable, and my 60-minute massage (with hot stones, highly recommend!) was amazing. I also loved the sauna. It didn't feel cramped, and the cold foot bath paired with the variety of essential oils for the hot rocks made it even more special. If you're looking for a true luxury spa experience, go to Bloom. I'll definitely be back. Thank you Cassandra and Mike!

The setting is very calm despite being at a busy corner of West Stadium. There were a few other people in the spa at the same time, but not so many that it felt intrusive or crowded. My experience started with a massage. It was relaxing but not up there with the best massages I've gotten around town. Next came the infrared sauna, which was probably my favorite part. With relaxing music and heat all around, I was able to zone out and enjoy myself. The float pool was next. I liked the waterproof headphones to listen to zen music as I floated, but the air temperature kept the parts of my body that were above water pretty chilly. I ended up cutting that part short as a result. Overall it was a good experience. I wish their parking were better marked (I parked in a lot to the left of the building as you're looking at it from the front). I also felt like the scheduling process was a little informal and unprofessional. I called and instead of returning my call, I got a text message back with informal grammar "Texting u from Bloom wellness" - it came off as sloppy.

I walked into a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Once you exit the lobby area and go to the back, the lights are dim. The changing area was clean, there was a locker to put my personal belongs in, and the robe and sandals were super comfy. There was a shower and a toilet and a waiting area outside the restroom with an electric fireplace on the wall. The massage itself was super relaxing and enjoyable. The woman who did my massage spoke softly asking me what areas I'd like her to focus on and what would be included in my massage. She gave me clear direction and privacy. She was firm, and worked out a knot in my shoulder and did a full body massage. There was calming music playing softly. At the end, they gave me a cup of tea to drink while I changed. I was not rushed in the beginning or the end. I would absolutely love to come here again one day for another massage. The main thing that stops me from getting massages on a more regular basis is the cost!

Everything looked enticing, from the herbal soaks to the massages. I decided on a massage and waited anxiously for my appointment. Tucked away in a place that you could miss if you didn't know to look for it, the simple and luxurious interior was a world away from the busy street that it sits on. I was warmly welcomed when I walked in and quickly slipped off my boots and into some comfy slide sandals. After a quick intake, my masseuse allowed me to slip under the drape onto the toasty table. I made an appointment at Jessica's Apothecary and had a great experience. Booking online was super easy. Checking in with smooth, and I appreciated the cozy environment and waiting area. I cannot remember the esthetician's name, but she was just as warm as the space. She was also very thorough in her questions, to be sure I was getting what I wanted to my preferences. The good thing is they have tea, coffee, and water. Also really clean bathroom. I got bored so I went back out to the lobby. The facial itself was very good. The room was a little small but Sandra was very professional, her hands are gentle and she knows how to give a facial. She really reads the forms that you fill out at the beginning, and she made sure she didn't use a product I am allergic to. She also gives you a massage on your neck, arms, and side of your face towards the end. You get a mask towards the end as well. The products smell really good and, again, her hands are gentle. It was a very good experience and I would go back. She uses steam which I wasn't used to, but it was interesting. My skin looks very smooth and clean. I would go back. Definitely would recommend Sandra!

Before going, I asked a lot of questions about the facility as we were looking for a totally relaxing experience. I booked massages and facials I was told there was both a steam room and sauna to relax in while waiting for each other to complete the services. From the minute we walked in the door we felt bad vibes. The young girl manning the front desk set the tone--no friendly greeting, slow, and uninformative when giving us a "tour" of the facility. My immediate reaction when viewing the premises was that it was old and not clean. In the "shower /steam room" (for one person), long dark hair was all over the tile and there was rust by the pipes. When I brought this to the attention of the girl, she literally said nothing. I then asked about using the sauna and she told me it was closed. Now, I called three days before our appointments asking specifically about the amenities and was not told it was broken. Walking by the "sauna room", you could see it was now used for storage. This left no options other than to sit in the relaxation room. The lounges were comfortable, but there was no reading material and the refreshments were minimal. We could hear talking and cackling from other areas of the spa from the "relaxation room" and had to close the door to minimize the noise. At one point, a dog was barking in building. The only good thing about the visit was my massage with Desiree was very good. My friends were not as impressed with their services. The final blow was during checkout. The same young girl didn't understand billing and said she could not produce a bill for the services until I paid in full. WHAT? I was literally doing the math trying to figure out what was being charged when she also informed me of a "3% convenience charge" . Again, WHAT? That was never disclosed to us nor was it mentioned on the website. The girl first told me it was the markup for the new prices in 2024. Then she told me it was a fee that went to the owner. Garbage! OK, enough of this spa. Moving on to find another one.

WEST for a facial during the peak of the polar vortex 2019. The building is a beautiful, old converted home on the north end of Main Street. The space is light and airy, a cozy mixture of Joanne Gaines-style furnishings, healing crystals, and antique charm. Walking through the door, I was greeted with warm slippers and hot tea, and I quickly eased into the welcome oasis from the blistering cold. I had scheduled a Custom Facial with Katie Westgate ("K. West"). This service transforms the preconception that facials are a rough, pinchy experience where you leave the spa looking badly in need of concealer. This service was as much relaxation as therapeutic, and I left with my face looking and feeling relaxed with a youthful glow and none of the redness frequently suffered during more aggressive facials. I fell in love with the lymphatic drainage that she performed, even investing in my own gua sha tool on my way out the door. Overall, I was super happy with my results and the experience offered by K. WEST, and plan to return.
