Pros: The Place is nice and clean 70$ for 60mins It's not a *** spot if you know what I mean. Cons: The massage was a painful experience. She will just massage your back 75% of the time using mostly her elbow. The lady working there didn't even do the full 60 and when I called her out she ignored and left. Found MeiSen Spa via Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the massage and overall service and experience. Outstanding massage!! Amy is an incredible masseuse. She's friendly, thoughtful and does an outstanding job of loosening stiff muscles and fascia. True deep tissue massage is what I needed, and I got just that with some stretching and manipulation thrown in. The venue is clean and inviting. This was the most bizarre massage I've ever had. First I got there, I did not have an appointment, and I was taken right in. The lady who took me in said to leave my clothes on. Ok. So I lay face down on the table and I wait a good 20 minutes before the masseuse comes back. When she comes in she questions why I have my clothes on. So, I get up, she stays in the room and the door is wide open while I disrobe. She covers me rear end with a small towel and begins the massage. 20 minutes into the massage she jumps onto the table, straddles me and continues the massage. It was bizarre all the way around. Not sure I'd go back cause the whole time I kept wishing it was over. When the massage was done she still left the door open while I got up and had to put my clothes back on. read more

This is a great place to get a massage. I have been here several times and though it is a little out of the way for me, it's worth the extra drive. When you walk in, the spa is bright and welcoming. A nice reception area with plenty of seating. The staff are always friendly and nice to talk to. The massage rooms are big and you don't feel cramped. Lighting is relaxing and tables are comfortable along with nice background music (though you can have none if you prefer). I usually get a mix of a deep tissue and standard relaxation massage. Amy is really great with deep tissue techniques - very strong and able to get out tough knots in my shoulders and lower back. They are great at adjusting pressure to what is comfortable to you and they listen to your feedback. They also offer sauna and shower services too for a small additional charge for more of a complete experience. Prices overall are reasonable and average. A nice touch at the end is that they usually offer a free cup of fruit along with water on your way out. Definitely worth a try. I always leave feeling relaxed, knot-free and refreshed! read more

I was feeling a very stressed and decided to get a massage without an appointment. After checking Yelp and Groupon (of course) I was unsuccessful finding a same day visit on a Sunday. I finally ran across MeiSen and called to ask a few questions (price, duration, appointment time etc...). The lady that answered the call was nice and very hurried. This concerned me, because I imagined I would walking into chaos and not a tranquil spa environment. My husband insisted that go that day, because I really needed it. And I did! This was my first time visiting the MeiSen Spa and they exceeded all expectations. My experience was very therapeutic and the perfect stress reliever. My masseuse (Anna) was professional and very in tune with my needs. I especially enjoyed the eucalyptus massage oil and hot streamed towels she incorporated into my experience. I also like the little fruit cup and water they gave me as I left the spa. Value: Great Staff: Nice and professional. My wife wanted a massage and we had a great experience here. The spa was easy to find and located in a plaza with ample parking. The owner immediately greeted us and explained the different services. Though I suggested the 60 min oil massage + Vichy shower combo ($95), my wife decided to have only the massage ($85). I confirmed credit cards are accepted. The reception area is roomy and nicely decorated. Everything looks new, including a hot/cold water dispenser. Complimentary candy on the table in the waiting area. A door separates the reception/waiting area from the four massage rooms and one restroom. Before entering the hall, the owner mentioned there is another guest already receiving a massage and therefore we should speak softly until behind closed doors. The first massage room was in use (closed doors) while the rest were open and I took some photos. All the equipment looked brand new; I was intrigued by the enclosed sauna and Vichy shower (never seen one before). All the rooms were clean, organized, and thoughtfully decorated. We felt comfortable and safe in this establishment. I passed the hour playing games. My wife felt the time flew by even though the masseuse was constantly working on her. My wife liked the fresh fruit cup and said it was a great way to conclude the wonderful massage. read more

Extremely unprofessional. She kept massaging my back 85% of the time in the same spot even though I kept repeating for her to move on and even pointer out other places for her to massage. I even politely said the room is cold may I have a blanket. She simply laughed. I don't think she understood what I meant because of the language barrier. Went to MeiSen Spa and had a great massage. My shoulder had been hurting for a while from a sports related injury. I wouldn't come back here. It was painful for the most part, and extremely overpriced. I was wincing of pain more than I enjoyed my experience. At the end the lady yanked my hair. I don't understand what the point of that was. I felt like I lost 10000 brain cells with the pain of when that was done. The total was $89 and she got pissed at me for not tipping. Like if I am not pleased with the service and I was in PAIN the whole time, why would I tip? Never coming back here. My head hurts. read more

Be advised, the location in Yelp is incorrect. They are now located at the corner of Cherry Hill and Sheldon. That being said, I didn't have a bad experience here per se. It's like eating Thai food, you say you want spicy, because you think you like spicy food. Well you've never had Thai melt your face off spicy. I said I wanted firm pressure, because I generally do. What I didn't realize was that firm pressure here would result in crush your bones pressure. Like clenching your fists and trying not to cry pressure. They did get me in same day for a massage, and everyone here was super nice . If you've been elsewhere and requested a good deep tissue massage, and left feeling like it just wasn't deep enough then I would recommend trying here. I'd go again, and I probably will, I'll just ask for lighter pressure next time around. Little fruit cup at the end was nice. Little pricey for the area at $120 for a 90 minute massage. read more

Had been getting deep tissue massage at this spa since Sept and i'm satisfied with each visit. The place is very clean, friendly service and Amy, who does my massage always does a wonderful job with loosening the knots on my shoulder. I had a massage done today and was given the hot stone massage which was completely soothing and rejuvenating! Amy always goes the extra mile and goes a little over an hour for the head and facial massage. They offer a fruit cup and water at the end of the massage, which is a nice conclusion to the visit. Massage is great, staff is a little unprofessional. I've been twice and the massage was good. Called today at 11:30 to make an appointment at 12 and she said she was booked but to come at 3. So I said the 3:00 appointment was fine. She then called me at 12:30 to see if I could come "right now". Being that I have 3 small kids and already planned our day around the 3:00 appointment I said no. Ten minutes later she called and said she forgot she had a 2:30 appointment and I would have to come at 3:30. I said never mind I'll go elsewhere. As a business owner I just don't have tolerance for such irresponsible business practices. Especially by an appointment driven business. So while the massages are okay, I'll never go back because my time is valuable. When I make an appointment I don't have the flexibility to continuously change it at their convenience.
