I was a monthly member for a long time and always enjoyed coming here for a massage because I am an athlete. The location is clean and the employees are very friendly! I give it a 4-star instead of 5 because sometimes it is difficult to find a time to get in on weekends. Cancelling the membership was not super easy but finally got it all handled. I have been a member for a few years. I have had many persons provide therapy and always be very good to great. The staff is very pleasant and always accommodating. I also have seen their community engagement in a number of ways in Winchester VA. The reason for this recommendation is, I had great experience again in Wilmington NC Massage Envy - Mayfair location and just gave them a recommendation and realized I have not given one to my home ME. As I walked out the massage room door and up to the front desk, the lady asked how was everything. I answered if I were in a trance and said " Amazing". It truly was. I have paid for deep massages before but they never ended up being deep. Some of the beginning questions might make you chuckle at least to me they did. They said all our masseuse's are certified to the best of our knowledge. As an update to my experience, here is the response from the owner of Massage Envy "I hope your afternoon is going well.  I'm aware of your issue when you canceled your membership not only by the staff but also the lovely google review you put up. We don't make exceptions on refunds unless it's an serious issue and certainly not by threats for posting bad reviews. I went over the camera footage and the front desk employee told you it was a possibility not a sure thing for the refund. Also once the  membership is canceled you have 60 days to use any  sessions left in your account this includes gifting it to another person if you are unable to make it in. I looked 60 days out and there are many opportunities eve or daytime that you can come in for a service.  We don't scam people we simple ask them to read carefully over the cancelation policy and other important things when signing the membership agreement. Just because you find something unacceptable doesn't mean that it's not correct or true. When getting my car repaired I find the cost sometimes unacceptable but I still pay it. As for your charge back remark with your credit card company I get notified and I will simple send over your signed cancellation agreement showing that it was legit.  Despite your view on the management team I have in place my team is following the rules and protocols that are required of them and that's exactly what they did." My immediate response was to ask, "if it is true that I do not need to have an active membership to use a paid for massage, why was I required to restart my membership to use the one this spring?" That was 3 days ago and I have had no response. Once again, either the staff member who told me I was required to restart my membership to use that prepaid massage was wrong or this is a sudden, new policy. Further, the staff member who told me I could call and request a refund, didn't use the exact words " it is not guaranteed " she just said I could call and request one. Technically speaking, she did not "guarantee " it. However, when a customer is reluctant to sign a cancellation form because of the "10 day effectiveness clause", and is told by an agent of that company that one can "call and request a refund after being charged", it is implicit that the customer relied on that statement to sign the cancellation form. It is either sign, or continue to be held hostage by that business. read more

I absolutely love this place, it keeps me sane!! I've been a Massage Envy customer for over a year now and not once have a left disappointed. You can book in person, online, or over the phone and sometimes if you're lucky they can see you same day! Definitely take the staff's recommendations when choosing a therapist because each has his/her own specialities. I've seen a lot of therapists here but have to say I'm most impressed with Ashley. I like a lot of pressure and she does a wonderful deep tissue massage. I can tell she really knows what she's doing. I would highly recommend Massage Envy, whether you're looking to relax or help manage pain in problem areas, they have the most experienced therapists I've found in the area...and if you join the membership program the prices aren't bad at all! read more

Have had hormonal acne since my late 20s. That and two pregnancies have done a number on my skin. Heard about about peels to help with scarring so wanted to try it out. Had my first chemical peel with Lori and it was great. She explained everything throughout the process and prepared me with everything she was doing. I love this place. I have had a membership for a while now and have never regretted getting it. The staff has always been friendly to me when making an appointment or when I check in. Even if they are booked when I try to schedule, they are patient as I scramble through my calendar to pick different dates. I always go with Leila as my therapist. I'm not much for the deep tissue massage and she always applies just the right amount of pressure, she isn't over talkative but still very kind and lets me relax. I look forward to this part of my monthly self care and would recommend it to anyone that needs relief from the stresses of life. read more

Took me about a week to find an appointment time here, after receiving multiple texts about how I would be charged for a same day cancellation fee, I get a phone call 4 hours before my appointment that the therapist is unavailable and I'd have to reschedule. Not only is it comical that I would be charged for inconveniencing them if I were to cancel, but getting cancelled on with little to no notice, and then being offered little to no retribution for it is a joke. My alternative's were to wait 2 weeks to reschedule, or take a 30 minute shorter session with a male therapist which is not at all what I spent almost a week trying to schedule and pay for. Not only did I get cancelled on with 4 hours of notice, but when I attempted to call and straighten it out I was met with "sorry all of our employees are busy please leave a message" and the call would disconnect. This happened 4 times and got to the point where I drove down there myself, and to my surprise there was not a customer in sight, so I ultimately wasted even more of my time driving down to the location since I couldn't get their staff on the phone. I get that emergencies happen and sometimes you can't be at work, but customer satisfaction is supposed to be the number one goal at businesses and not only did this encounter do nothing waste my time and ruin my plans but it has permanently lost them my business. read more

I have been through a rough couple of years, sitting with a grandma, dad, and stepdad as they were dying, and dealing with all of the estate stuff that comes with that. I had to bring my mom with Alzheimer's to live with me and decided to sign up to help with stress. I really look forward to my appointments. My daughter had an appointment with Nick today. He started the session being confrontational and extremely condescending to her. She should have walked out at that point, however she figured it was just a misunderstanding and went through with the massage. This was a huge mistake. He bullied and hurt my daughter continuously, even after she started crying and asked him multiple times to stop, he continued insisting that the pain wasn't real and was all in her head. He insisted he was in fact a doctor and knew better than she did. I truly find this hard to believe because my daughter actually went into shock during the "treatment" and all he did was ask her, "why are you shaking?" I may be just a nurse, but even I know what the signs of shock are! When someone tells you to STOP and you do not, anything that takes place after is assault. My daughter actually did not feel safe to get off the table and leave during this torture because she was scared of what Nick might do. In addition 2 credits were to be used for both my daughter and my appointments today. In fact the Leesburg Massage Envy called to speak with your receptionist yesterday to ensure that our credits had in fact transferred and were applicable. Which both she and us were assured was the case. I however had to pay for my daughters session as this was not done. Had I known what Nick had done to my daughter, you can be assured I would not have paid for this session! read more

The first time I visited, I signed up for their membership because I had such a great experience. I fell in love with the scent in the building and the owner was so nice that he gave me some to try at home. I had a massage and facial here recently. My massage with Russ was exactly what I needed. I've been dealing with a shoulder problem, and using massage to try to get things moving normally again. However this was the first one that I've had that left me pain-free. I had a horrible experience. After receiving a massage gift certificate for my anniversary I made the appointment through the app. I was then contacted and told that there was no one available for that time for the massage I wanted. They rescheduled it and when I showed up for the rescheduled time my appointment was never put down. So in all I try to schedule an appointment three times and still yet no one there was competent enough to actually have my appointment on the books. I could not get my money back for the gift certificate which I expected. I am disappointed that I never got to get the massage because I was really looking forward to it all week. I booked a deep tissue massage here only because it was open later since I don't get off work until later. Checked yelp it has fairly good reviews although I got the 1st time which is .5 a of the star and the other .5 goes to how friendly the staff was for a 7:30pm appointment. I have had a stiff neck and back for weeks my physical therapist said I should try getting a massage... if you could even call it that. Honestly for the entire right side of my body I thought she was just rubbing in the lotion I purchased! There was very little to no pressure! Again I got deep tissue even when I asked for more pressure she only applies it for a few spots and it wasn't even close to firm. Additionally I put in I want my neck, shoulders, arms, back to be focused on but my top priority was my neck in the spot where it asked I was having the most pain... well she worked on that for maybe 5 mins total for both sides of it and focused on my feet for majority of it. She found some knots but that's about all she did she applied barely any pressure no matter how often I asked so I went home completely knotted and woke up with a headache the next morning due to a knot in my neck that I had to rub out on my own. This was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent because on top of it all it was 5-10 mins after 7:30 when they took me back then of course a few mins in the room plus her stopping 5 mins before the 90 mins was up well damn I should've just paid for a 60 minute massage would've been cheaper! Honestly the only way I would ever come and try this place again is someone gave me a gift card that would cover the whole cost of it because otherwise I'd just be wasting my time and money again. Will not be recommending this place to anyone based off of this experience. read more
