I purchased an hour session and received a full hour treatment. I disrobed and the lights were dimmed. Light, calming music played setting the environment for me to relax. My technician was firm but gentle. She sought stress knots out meticulously and destroyed them and finally evicted them without notice!!!! It was so needed and honestly as stressed as I am I am sure I need more than one session. I think this will be the perfect place to get real self care, not just a run down. My husband asked for focus on his back, but this wasn't followed. The massage lacked pressure and felt like lotion being lightly rubbed on our skin. Cold lotion was applied directly, which was uncomfortable. The therapist struggled with her chair and even moved the table while I was on it. Both therapists chatted in Chinese throughout. The room was very cold, and despite mentioning it, nothing changed. My husband also asked for deeper pressure, but it never improved. Communication was difficult due to a language barrier. The massage lacked flow, jumping between areas instead of working muscles properly. At the end, I tipped $20 each, but was told via translation app that $30 each was expected, which made things more uncomfortable. The therapists seemed kind, but overall the technique, communication, comfort, and professionalism fell far below expectations. We won't be returning.

I was a regular customer of massages for years but gradually drifted away from it largely due to relocation and loosing access to my usual therapist. I decided to give Alan a crack at it based on his high reviews and who wouldn't love the name of his establishment. As soon as I meet him, I was instantly at ease. He has an awesome demeanor that puts you in a great state of mind which is essential for any massage session. It was so relaxing that despite this being my first session with him, it vibed like I have been going to him for years. I prefer a firm massage and he did not disappoint. His technique is awesome. I received immediate relief by the end of the session and writing this review 3 day plus afterwards finds no evidence of the knot or even a hint that it might return. What really impressed me is he really did take the time and figure out the lay of the land rather than just blast through the motions. It took him just a minute or two of feeling around before realizing that a more aggressive course of treatment was needed to loosen things up. Once accomplished, he then moved through several modalities and did some amazing things to my psoas which has been a problem in the past. It was especially impressive as I forgot to tell him about that... but he sniffed it out. This is a man who takes his craft seriously. If you are on the fence about booking him... this is "the guy". Just do it and thank me later.
