Crystal is one of the best massage therapists I have experienced in 20+ years of receiving…read moretreatment. She is a part time power lifter so she has super strength as well. She can easily move your entire torso while stretching your IB and other muscles/ tendons. I saw another review that implied funny business happened here and that couldn't be further from the truth. It is unfortunate someone would post a review without having firsthand information.

The Caring Touch is not just massages, it's also about Sandra, the owner/ masseuse. You will not…read morewalk out of there feeling the same as when you walk in. It's just not humanely possible. Whatever you were carrying around w/ you, be it emotions, stress, anxiety, knotted up muscles, whatever....She will find it and get rid of it before you leave. This is therapy. I'm not massage guru but before the Caring Touch, I don't think I knew what the real measure of a massage could be. I had the 30- 60 min faux serenity now, beat you, bruise you, disconnected from you, get-you-in-and-out massage and that's all i knew. I wondered "why do people pay for this". Although, I've come to realize not all massage is bliss (b/c goshdarn it, kneading tensed toxic muscles can be quite painful), the way the masseuse applies that pain transforms the experience. It is clear that Sandra is not thinking of what she's gonna have for lunch, bills she needs to pay, or anything other than being in that room with you connecting with your body to relieve your discomfort. And she does it in a non-creepy nonverbally way (i can't deal w/ small-talk during a massage nor feeling like the massage means much to the person giving it than to me). The end result: you come out reformed; experiencing how your body once felt long ago all the time....to stand straight and relaxed w/o difficulty...even tired and a bit woozy from the experience. the downside: she's super popular so if you want her, get your appt scheduled well in advance. if you are an SU student, let her know b/c she gives discounts!

There is a small waiting area that has been nicely decorated to create a relaxing space and there are restrooms nearby. A lot of thought has been put into creating this spa opportunity at the hotel and I had a very good experience.

Updating my review in light of COVID --…read more The health spa is still open during COVID and is taking additional precautions to protect staff and customers. Staff and customers have to wear masks, they limit the amount of people allowed in the spa at one time, and they wipe down/clean and disinfect everything after each customer comes. I did a couples massage with my husband for 90 minutes with hot stone therapy and it was so nice. Even with wearing a mask it was still easy to relax and enjoy after all the stress 2020 has brought us all lol. Nina was my masseuse and my husband had Linda. Both ladies were very nice and attentive and did an amazing job! I told Nina I do a lot of computer work for my job, so she focused a lot on getting out the tension from my head, neck, shoulders, and lower back/sciatica/tailbone area since those are tender spots when you're working remotely from home on a computer all day Anyways, definitely would recommend to anyone looking to have a pamper/treat yourself day.

I have mixed feelings…read more As with the other reviewer, I called and it was a simple hello, had to ask to make sure I Called the right place instead of just a random person's cell phone. But it was easy making the appointment and getting seen next day, so I can't complain about that. Lots of parking. Location looks pretty clean. I opted for the 90 minute body massage. It's pretty much a Swedish massage. For the most part, the massage was pretty good. I requested strong pressure for my back, medium everywhere else, and she delivered. A few things to note. Not much modesty. You're given a towel to cover up, I don't want to compare, but I'm used to a full flat sheet . Baby oil was used, which I don't mind. I Enjoy the smell of it, and it's not too greasy for me. She was the only one there, so there were a lot of phone calls And interruptions during the massage. I wasn't too mad about it. But she was busy using her phone doing the foot massage part. And then she went from foot to my head/face, which is usually opposite of what I'm used to without someone washing their hands in between. Would I go there again? I don't know, maybe for a foot massage outside, but not for a full body massage like I did. But if you're in need of a last minute massage this is a good spot. Giving a 4 for the parts of the massage/location I actually liked.

This time I got a 60-minute foot massage. I am used to a regular foot massage including at least rubbing your arms and hands and some places even do a quick shoulder massage or back massage. Nope. Just a 10-minute foot bath and repetitive foot massage for an hour. On the $60 price, there was a credit card fee of $5 added. Not really happy, I gave a $10 cash tip. She told me I was "cheap" and "not professional". Wish I had better things to report since this is so close to work.
