I first reviewed ME over 4 years ago giving it 5 STARS. Not anymore I have been a loyal subscribing member for over 8 yrs paying monthly. I asked ME to stop charging me UNTIL I can go back with out having to wear a mask. I certainly understand the need for a Mask but much of the enjoyment would be leaving. I wanted to stay loyal but just not come until the majority of the COVID-19 problem has passed. as of that moment I had the equivalent credit of over seven hours of massages and I've already paid for. Honestly, what a waste or time. Facial person to protect identity but name starts with a J dis not communicate. You walk in they ask you questions. Honestly why can't the forms be sent in advance if needed? They count that towards you facial time. You take odd the top but no gown for you. Facial person does not tell you what they are doing. My face felt the same just as dry. What the persons said was not helpful. The brief massage was so soft, not relaxing, again didn't ask me what I wanted to work on or pressure. I guess I could ask but the whole process was just meh. To be fair the fine prints do show undressing and redressing counts into 60 mins. They count redressing time too. My husband and I came for the first time and we were greeted with smiles and the staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Ashanti and Xiomara were absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable with introducing us to all of the various massages, facials and etc..that massage envy had to offer. The General Manager Alphonso was Superb.. He really made my husband and I understand the importance of self care. He encouraged us to sign up for the membership in which I am beyond excited about. I have had many massages and I have to say that Mike G in Webster is the best!!!! He listens to my needs and then works on my problem areas and I always leave feeling renewed. The staff is always friendly and getting an appointment is easy. I signed up for the membership because Mike G is that good and everyone there is courteous and friendly. There were no high pressure sales tactics to get me to sign up and unlike most people I actually read my contract to understand how and when I can cancel my membership. The reviews I have read where they say they didn't know about the automatic renewal....well, maybe you should read what you sign. My best friend in Las Vegas has had a membership out there for a few years now and loves it. Never a problem getting an appointment. BEWARE! They will try to sell you a membership that sounds so reasonable until you try to use it. We have tried to get into all three locations on numerous times with out success. This is even worse if you want to schedule their couples massage which is what brought us there in the first place. If you try to cancel you will be obligated for the remainder of the year even though they can't get you in. We now have a combined 10 massages we can only use for as long as our membership lasts which is about 3 more months Topping it off... We just showed up to use a couple of them including one we paid a $10 transfer fee for our daughter who is visiting and they made a mistake in the booking! Ugh Like I said BEWARE read more

Brian knew all of the points I needed pressure / work done on and I left feeling super relaxed and loosened up. I been using Massage Envy in Webster for years. Within the past 2+ years been seeing John Scott. He is just excellent!!! Always asks you what you want to accomplish during your session, adjusts based on your needs and ensures that your are 100% satisfied. As I have not had a massage in about two years I wanted to book one closer to my house which was the Greece location but they were full so I set the appointment for at this location in Webster I had time to spare so I went next-door to hairs do and absolutely loved my haircut then I went to massage envy as I was greeted by a amazing gentleman he was very attentive I also had a great masseuse his name was Jared I loved every bit of it. I was so knotted up and sore and he worked wonders. I did Have a situation where they charge my card twice but that was easily taken care of and I absolutely recommend this place and I plan on going back at least once a month even though I live closer to the Greece location I felt very comfortable and relaxed I definitely recommend this place read more

Started out alright... pressured us into a membership which they said was completely flexible if we decided not to use it and that cancelling was not a problem if it wasn't a good fit for us. Well when we went to cancel because we can no longer afford it we were informed that the process is NOT easy and we cannot cancel until our entire membership period has ended even if we do not use the services. Not only that, but it auto renews and you need to fill out forms to make sure it doesn't auto-renew. Awful. Today I have some sort of stomach bug that is making me feel retched and I am not able to cancel my already paid for monthly appointment without paying an additional $20 cancellation charge. If I had known my lunch was going to get me sick I wouldn't have eaten it but guess what? It was impossible to know in advance. And the fact that they charge above and beyond what I pay for a monthly service is ridiculous. I highly recommend paying more for the quality and experience at the Del Monte. Don't be fooled with their "hour" pricing, they start the timer for your massage the minute your massage therapist introduces themselves to you in the waiting room. I love that I am able to book an appointment around my schedule, not too far in advance, and customize my massage to the areas that hurt that day. Bryan is an intuitive therapist - it always seems he knows exactly what areas need treatment and what type of pressure or therapy to apply. I LOVE the full-body stretch! I signed up for a membership after a high pressure sales tactic in the office. Supposedly I was given a "special" deal of a six month membership bc the least amount of time to sign up for was 12 months. Little did I know that the membership would automatically renew. I called to express my dissatisfaction with the unauthorized charges on my credit card and was basically told that since they have my signature on the contract there was nothing they could do about refunding the charges. I feel like I was purposefully deceived and I expressed that to the manager and owner of the facility and a refund was refused. I've had a few massages in my day from various places. This place is nice. This first massage is at a discounted price. I opted to get the 1 and half hour massage for my first one for $57. That is a great deal. After your massage, you can pay for it and leave or they offer a "membership". It's $59 a month for 1 monthly massage and if you want more than one in a month then pay $39 for 1 hour, $57 for 1 and half, $78 for 2 hour massages. read more

Terrible massage. It felt like a dog being pet, not a massage. To add to the experience, the therapist told me her entire life story (complaining all the while) and made me very uncomfortable. I tried to change the subject to happier things or get her to stop talking and she kept droning on...and on. I have been having tension headaches for years and I find that getting regular massages helps to prevent them. I had tried different massage therapists at the different massage envy Rochester locations and found some were better than others but no one stuck out as being ahead of the rest until I met Mike G one time in Webster. He is fantastic I've been going to him ever since every 2-3 weeks. I prefer deeper pressure and he can certainly deliver. He is very professional and has really helped to loosen up my tight upper back. The staff are courteous every time I've been there. The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is difficult to book a massage with only a couple of days notice since they are mostly booked. I've started booking several weeks in advance though and I almost always get my choice of date and time. read more

The ladies at the front desk are very sweet (I have not experienced any high-pressure sales tactics) and the therapists I've met have been completely professional from start to finish. I quit one therapist because out of the blue she started talking obsessively about her kids. Came to this location cause i was visiting from NC and my sister in law and i wanted a facial before Thanksgiving, facial was very nice, but it all went downhill from there. Upon trying to check out you are presented with a huge sales pitch to buy their products, being from NC i asked if i purchased something here and didn't like it can i return it for credit towards either another product or service and they said most definitely you can return it at ANY Massage Envy, they said i would have 30 days to return it for my money back or if it was after 30 days i would just get that credit towards product or a service and they said i was already in the computer so all they would have to do it look up my recent visit and see this purchase. Well I stupidly bought a $70 lotion for my face. Traveled home from NY to NC and tried it about 2 times and both times it made my face have a burning sensation, so I called my local Massage Envy and spoke with the GM there and he informed me that this was not the case, product cannot be returned from state to state! Which started to lead me to believe that the Webster/Penfield store was just trying to push sales and tell me whatever just to get a sale! I then called the Webster store back and spoke with a a lady named Tracy who said she was the GM of this location, if this is the case then she definitely needs to learn GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, she was extremely demeaning when she speaks, had a terrible snotty air about her, after i explained to her my situation she told me Im sorry but this is not our policy and she would speak to the employees who told me this WRONG information from her store about returns!!! Ok so this does not help me in any way I told her and she said i can bring back the product this November when i return to NY and she will give me another product......ok so this is not what i signed up for, I was supposed to be able return it here in NC and utilize a service or a product exchange. I do not want to nor should i have to wait till November to get my $70 credit when they happily took my money to make their sale this past November! I have since tried to get this owners information but Tracy didn't know it she said and would email me with it when she finds it, its been over a week now and still haven't heard anything from her (again horrible customer service from a so called GM) and i have called corporate and left 2 messages and haven't heard back from them either! I have since contacted my bank and have put thru a dispute on this charge!!!! Shame on this company treating their customers this way! Shame on Tracy for acting the way she did and not helping in any way! When we arrived they were very rude, said reservation was not in system and did not offer to see if other locations had 2 slots today or offer to reschedule next Thursday. One or two of the therapists can actually render a therapeutic massage- if all you want is a foo-foo massage, this is your place- Don't even consider skincare or facial from these "professionals "- they are in over their heads.
