The bill is $85.00, when you apply your credit card the bill then goes to $0.00. You are then sent a confirmation on your phone. When you get to the facility there is a one on one to discuss specifics about diet and physical constraints. Never are you told that the money put down was for member pricing and given the ability to cancel or become a member. After the massage you are told the bill is $150.00 and the $85.00 quoted was for member pricing. I told the receptionist I was quoted $85.00 online - she stated that was member pricing and they tried to reach me but could not. The masseuse was Great... Would it be so hard to tell the truth with the one on one discussion. You could reach me to confirm the appointment but not the price. It was not a bad place, but the deceitful way of getting the $150.00 cannot be excused. Massage Evny Warren- You can do better. I do NOT recommend. !!! read more

The high quality massage therapists at this location have impressed me again and again. I've probably had over 50 visits here over the last few years with a total of ten different therapists. Only one ever disappointed me and it seems she's not working there anymore. I personally ask for Ellie, Magnolia, or Lady, but I know a couple of other customers who come here regularly and they have different favorites whom they praise highly. I really think everyone is at this location is talented and client-centered, tailoring the massages to each customer's preferences. As for the front desk: flawless! In five years they have never made a mistake with my appointment time and they have consistently been welcoming, pleasant, and professional. All the rooms are clean and the atmosphere is quiet and calm. They provide upgrades like aromatherapy if you want and sell skincare products, but they haven't ever pushed me with an upsell which I appreciate. There's plenty of free parking. I recently went back to Massage Envy for a massage for the first time after the pandemic. The COVID-19 safety procedures were reassuring. They will text you a link to check in, everyone is wearing a mask, Even during your massage session. Originally, I was going to cancel my massage envy subscription and I had scheduled a massage to use up my points left over due to my hiatus during the pandemic. My massage therapist was Aretha. She was so phenomenal, that I decided not to cancel my subscription. Her technique was firm but not painful, her pressure was just the right amount. Normally you only feel the effects of the massage for a short time after the session, but Arethea was able to work out my sore muscles and dissipate the lactic acid so that the benefits of the massage was felt for at least a couple of days after the massage. I will definitely be going back to Arethea next month! I also prefer the Massage Envy Warren location to the Chester location. They seem to have better therapists at Warren although a bit more difficult to schedule since they're busy. read more

I recently moved to the area and have had a few massages at this location. Over the past 4 months, I have had 4 appointments and 3 out of 4 were cancelled at the last minute on the day of the massage! Today, I don't even get a phone call! I drove all the way there and was told upon checkin that my massage was cancelled! Needless to say, we are all here for our wellness.... And not getting a massage on your scheduled day is a huge blow to your body.... Especially when you go to reschedule and now the first availability is 2 weeks out. I learned how unprofessional massage envy of Warren, NJ is today. I have been paying $75 a month membership fee for 3 years and I go once every 4 for 6 months. I have over 11 "free" massages. I typically gift them to friends or family. I requested to cancel service a few months back and was told I need to fill out a form and email it back. I didn't do that because I was busy but I kept the service. June 2023 they could not process my payment because I have a replacement card. My wife occasionally reminds me to use the service so she called to set up a massage and was told my account is about to go into collections. This set off an entirely different conversation. We scheduled an appointment to use one of the 11 sessions I have already paid for. I arrive and was told they need a cars on file to check me in. I inquired about canceling due to not using the service and I requested a copy of the contract since I was on a month to month membership, I should not be forced to pay to continue the service. I was told that there is no contract they can give me and no copy of a policy stating that I can not use the sessions I already paid for if my account is "suspended". I argued if I am month to month, there should be no requirement to continue paying for the service which feels like extortion forcing me to continue the membership in order to use what I have already paid for. I asked for the name of the manager who relayed this information to "Iesha" was presented herself as the assistant manager. Irshad declined to provide the last name of the manager for proper identification and declined to provide her last name for proper identification stating, "you are not law enforcement etc so I don't have to give you my last name" I was totally shocked to experience this level of unprofessionalism st this location. I have paid for 3 years without using the service. I have over 11 sessions that I already paid for and was denied access to these prepaid services unless i pay $75 for June. I will be filing a small claims court case against this branch on monday. I have an audio recording of the entire exchange. Completely cordial on my end. Iesha straight out told me that there is nothing they can give me in writtig stipulating what has been relayed to me. ​​ read more

This was my first here to Massage Envy thanks to my SIL for gifting me a few sessions for my bday. I will say that from the initial call to make arrangements til my actual arrival that the staff was friendly and made my visit all that more pleasant. I had the privilege of having Gloria for a facial and she was a sweet lady and we went over a few things before we started so she would know what kind of facial would suite me best. She did an amazing job and making me feel relaxed with her soft hands and gentle voice as she would tell me step by step what she was doing and how it would help my face. Do NOT buy any products here. I went back 40 mins after buying something, wasn't the right product for me. It was unopened and unused. And was told the Mgr. wasn't available. It's "policy" not to make returns BUT they will take my phone number and the mgr, Nicky Boyle, will contact me within 24-48 hrs after they fill out a form. (The form took them a long time to fill out as I stood there) She will review the form, and call me with her decision. We are talk about $20. And the fact that my family and I are very good customers. Not a smart decision or a smart business move. I won't be buying any products here ever again. read more

I really loved Massage Envy in Warren and Omar is fantastic. However, when I told the staff at the front desk I was cancelling after years because of a personal issue, things became very different. They told me I couldn't cancel because it was less than 10 days before the next monthly charge, and then they couldn't find the paperwork, but when I went in person they did find the paperwork, but they only gave me one out of two pages, and the next month I got the same reminder and 10 day issue. So I did schedule an appointment since I already paid, and they picked a different room with a harder platform and short sheets and gave a sub-par massage which was also shortened. I have one more massage left, though it should not have been charged due to the cancelation debacle. I would never join again because of the specific treatment and staff. The new room had never been used in the years I belonged, I never got short sheeted and ended up on the bare platform before, I never requested deep tissue and got a normal massage and never had it shortened to this extent and I paid and tipped the same. I'm going to contact my credit card provider because now I am concerned that they are annoyed and it may impact service, safety cleanliness, sheet change because I cancelled. Nothing wrong with the masseuse. But I went in right before surgery. They offered me a membership and I said no, twice, because I wanted to heal. They went further into the benefits of membership, told me they could hold the account for 2 months, and that if I wanted to cancel it was an easy process. I fully intended to start getting massages for a bad back, so I joined. As it turns out, I have scar tissue and the scar is not healing well so I should not get any massages until further notice. I notified them in early May and to this day, after bringing in the requested note, they have not cancelled my membership. They charged my credit card and the manager is never in when I call. So if I don't get a refund and an apology I will be contesting the charge. Moral of the story is, it's not "easy" to get out of their contract. So buyer beware. And when I am ready, I will be finding an independent masseuse. By the way, In popped a stitch from the scar just yesterday and am waiting to hear feom my doctor because now I need to deal with this issue. So I am very glad I didn't go for a massage or I would have wrongly thought that caused it. read more

They automatically renew memberships. They say that they text you to let you know dues will be charged, but they don't. If you buy a package as a gift for someone once the package ends they renew it and keep charging you for whoever the recipient of your gift was. Then when you go to cancel and get reimbursed for the charges over the original gift they take away any unused, but paid for, sessions. Such a scam!!!!! read more

If you're going to get a facial, get it with Magnolia. She is my regular esthetician, but she has been out a lot so I was forced to use someone else. I was pretty disappointed. Maybe the woman was having an off day, but if she was it definitely translated into her work. I could just feel like she was going through the motions. I also really like Magnolia because she gives you a very good massage while the mask is setting or you're getting steamed. She provides an overall better experience. Booking an appointment with her can be difficult as she has been taking some leave of absences. The staff there is very nice and accommodating. read more

Amazing massages. Phil, Chris, and Sean were all fantastically superb. I never left the massage feeling disappointed. However, the customer service is awful. The receptionist and other front desk workers on multiple occasions were rude and often made mistakes. The management is really sub par and hard to get a hold of. I canceled my membership and would be happy to go somewhere less corporate more geared towards the customers. read more

Have been a subscribed member of Massage Envy for quite a few years and basically have been satisfied with the service, although scheduling a massage is often an issue. Due to scheduling massage diffiuclty, I have been contemplating dropping my monthly membership, since I absolutely do not get my money's worth! With the Covid 19 dilemma, I have been trying to contact Massage Envy for almost 2 weeks....I have left messages for a return call. I received none. The location is closed with no accommodation to "freeze" payments. The website is extremely frustrating, as there is NO place to contact anyone via email....or even anyone in the overall company...no "contact us" anywhere! I will call my CC company to stop the monthly recurring payment, as I have no other choice. My rating would certainly have been higher, however this unnecessary frustration due to lack of ability to communicate is ridiculous! read more

Not happy about the appointment service. I was informed that there are no female therapists who could do from medium to firm here, which is very ridiculous. I have been with massage envy for years and this is the first time I was told about this (before the front desk person who is reluctant to arrange and then impatiently hung up on me). Can I just say that I've found the best massage therapist at Massage Envy. This location is extremely lucky due to having many talented massage therapists! My favorite is Jolie. Not only is she talented but she is experienced. Extremely attentive, she puts her wisdom to the touch. Her pressure is beyond amazing and after her massage not only do you feel like a new person but you sleep like a baby! I recommend her if anyone is trying to find a massage therapist with healing and restorative properties she is the one! For anyone looking for a good esthetician I recommend Emma. She is extremely thorough, explaining the process, basically walking you through. A perfect day would to be to book Jolie for a 90 min session along side with Emma for a facial. They make the experience enjoyable. This location is extremely helpful, if you ever have any questions about which therapist is for you, ask the manager Lauren, she is awesome and truly cares about her staff and clients. read more

The front desk staff here is great and very attentive. I have a membership because I am alway having tension in my back and I would be getting a massage once a month no matter what anyway. I usually have to schedule last minute massages because of my personal schedule and they never have a problem accomodating me. The rooms are very simple but they are comfortable. It is a no frills place but with my busy life I love that. I will not use my membership at any other location. read more

It's impossible to get them to actually cancel your membership in their system even when you follow their procedure. Check your credit card statements to insure they are not still charging you after you sent/gave your completed "Wellness Agreement Cancellation Request Form". Horrible service/Massage Front desk receptionist had booked me with Chris claiming that he was the best deep tissue therapist in there. When i arrived early to fill out forms the girl at the front went over what EXACTLY I WANTED work on. She then told me she would give this information to the therapist. The therapist himself went over with me what I wanted worked on, I told him the same exact thing I told the girl in the front. I wanted the entire back massaged - focus on neck and traps glutes and hamstrings primarily but still do the front as well. Chris informed me that he has been massaging for 4 years. It seemed more like less than a year with what he gave me. He did NOT work on my front. He was late for the session, he was NOT PREPARED during the session as he "forgot" the face cover yet kept insisting that I lay face up and he'd run out and get it later. The entire back massage was horrible! He didn't even touch my neck which connects to the back how do you miss that?!!! I told him during the session that I too am a massage therapist which I am and I know a full body massage CAN be completed within the hour even if a certain area needs to be targeted. He was the worse of the worse! I just came back from the chiropractor who offers a 10min massage and his therapist did MORE than what Chris did with just 10 minutes alone. I'd like to add as well that when the session was over Chris informed me that I was extremely tight and that if I wanted him to work on the front I should upgrade to 90 minutes. What an excellent experience! The staff was courteous when I called to make my appointment. Jenny assisted me when I arrived and couldn't have been sweeter. Mireya performed a 90-min deep tissue massage that was incredibly relaxing and worked out the muscle tension I had been carrying around for weeks. My appointment started on time despite a full waiting room. My only small complaint is I wish the treatment room temperature were slightly warmer. I will definitely return! read more

I've been a massage therapist for the last 10 years and left last year for personal reasons and have been on the lookout for a great group of massage therapists.
