I received a giftcard for Massage Envy and was really happy with the services! I opted for a brightening facial and did a couple add ons - an eye and lip treatment. The facial was top notch, so relaxing and the esthetician took the time to understand my skin and customize the treatments. However, I didn't find the add-ons to be worth it so next time I'd stick with just the facial. The space was quiet, relaxing and welcoming. My only other negative was I don't like being "upsold" after a relaxing treatment. At the conclusion of services, there was an effort to sell me their monthly membership and additional products. I get it, but for me, after a treatment is done, I want to pay and get out of there. However, in the past 6 months, I have had multiple cancelled/rescheduled appointments which has been very frustrating. They also began renovations and there was literally a thin piece of sheet rock between my room and the front desk. I heard every cackle and word they were saying. I booked my wife a prenatal message for our anniversary, the lady i spoke to on the phone was very polite and helpful. My issue is my wife showed up for her message and was told they don't have the proper prenatal message table as it's too expensive. She was given a pillow and had to spend the whole message time on her side. I purchased this message as a way of relief so she would be able to lay face down. I am very disappointed that they charge more for a prenatal message and do not even have the proper equipment, had I known ahead of time I would have booked somewhere else. First of all, Amber who did my facial is absolutely amazing. Regarding the manager, Jordan, and Lindsey who did my body massage-- not so much. I booked a full body massage with 4 enhancements (Himalayan salt stone, foot treatment, hand treatment, aroma therapy) due to extreme upper neck/back and foot pain as I am always on my feet being in the military. Due to the weather causing extreme traffic driving West from the base South, I called ahead and said I would be around 5-10 minutes late to my 6:30pm appointment. I arrived 6 minutes late and was brought back 15-20 min later at 6:56pm for my appointment which eventually started at 7pm after we talked. She asked if I wanted to keep my enhancements and I said yes, but she said it might be rushed. I asked her to clarify what she meant and she said it was 50 minutes hands on, so she said it would be about 10 minutes per enhancement then 10 minutes all around body massage. I said I am fine with that since that does not seem rushed to me. My massage ended at 730 after starting at 6:56, so that is not 50 minutes hand on. I understand I arrived 6 minutes late but that would have at least given me a 40-50 min appointment. Not a 30 min appointment. Lindsey, the massage therapist, was extremely loud the entire appointment. She also dropped the Himalayan salt stones multiple times on me as well as pulled my hair, as if she was not trained or did not know how to maneuver correctly as a massage therapist. Instead of moving my hair she kept massaging while yanking it. The "massage" she gave me consisted of barely tracing the stones on me because the rocks seemed too hot for her and she didn't want to wait to cool them down before putting them on my body, since she came into it rushing as she stated prior to the appointment. I did not receive any aromatherapy that I paid for, nor did I receive the hand or foot treatment. She did put something on my hands and put a hot towel on it, but as stated previously she rushed and it felt as if she just put it on and wiped it off. No massage. I understand I was 6 minutes late to my appointment, but I would not have wasted my time for that. I would have just came back for my facial at 8. She did not give the services she spoke about prior to starting. Amber, who did my facial, was amazing. I received more of a body massage from the esthetician than the massage therapist, Lindsey. She really knows what she is doing regarding skin care and she gave an amazing upper back, head, and neck massage. My face was extremely glowy after and I felt extremely relaxed. After my appointment, I spoke about what happened with my massage done by Lindsey and the front desk and they just told me the total. I asked to speak to the manager, Jordan, and she said there was nothing she could do even though my hands on hour appointment was only 30 minutes. She said it was because I was late even though it was only 6 minutes late. She said she could take off one enhancement even though none of them were done correctly. I spoke about how she pulled my hair and didn't know what she was doing, and she said there was nothing she could do. It seemed as though the manager thought I just wanted a free massage or could not afford it, as if she was profiling me. She couldn't compensate at all for the lack of service I received, so I ended up not tipping for that service and gave Amber a 50% tip. She truly deserves it. I really did want to enjoy the experience but it was just not great. It hurt super bad, not my muscles but my skin? Hard to describe. But it wasn't the amount of pressure. And one of the techniques used, it felt like when my 70lb dog stomps on my leg. I felt too anxious to speak up, and that's on me. But still I just feel like that can't be normal? The environment was relaxing, and that was a bonus. I also did not get my full hour. When booking, I had a little pop up informing me that it wasn't one hour from the appointment time, but one hour from the start of the massage. I got there at 2:45. I was booked for 3pm. I wasn't called back until 3:10pm. I believe the massage had started at about 3:15. There was an iPad in the corner with a timer and the time in large print and the massage ended at 4pm. So only 45 minutes. Yet I paid for the full hour and the tip as well. I didn't really mind it ending early honestly, as I left in more pain than I arrived in. But $170 (including what I paid in tip) for 45 minutes is kind of insane. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe I'm just not a massage kinda person. But nonetheless it was still super disappointing with this having been my first hour of me-time in over 2 years :( read more

Do not go or or buy a gift certificate! My husband purchase myself and daughter a gift certificate for our birthday the end of September. I went to schedule the appointment and they said the cost went from $70 to $125 and they would not honor the $70 message. When I asked when they increased it was in October. So they didn't tell him it was increasing and we only had a short time to use them. I called again because it did not sound correct and was told it was an introductory price they no longer honor. Two stories by two different people and now I need to pay the difference. Never going to recommend buying a gift card here. Service providers are absolutely amazing, but openly treated poorly by Mgmt (Brian & Co. Aka: the asst mgrs/the front desk associates, & those who kowtow). It's not a big secret at the Maple St. location if a client voices a complaint about their membership, or anything, Mgmt will talk sh*t at them, be sarcastic or humiliate the client. Rude, arrogant, snide and stupid. The Mgr power trips like he's something special, not merely an appointed person to a low level, minimum wage position. I worked here and was a client here. I had my first massage at Massage Envy's maple location about a year ago and while I was paying, the cashier gave me their sales pitch for joining as a member. I decided to join and see what it was like and I've enjoyed my services so far. I don't like how sales-oriented the staff is, but the location is convenient and there are great therapists to be found. As a member, you get one massage a month for a fee. You can also go to any location in town, which is also very convenient. I've had a few issues with booking (I asked for a specific therapist and they booked the wrong person), but they always take care of it with a discount and an apology. The key is finding the right massage therapist for you. After I had a pretty poor experience, one of the front desk workers gave me a list of 4 therapists she thought would work well for my needs. The first name I tried on the list was sensational! And I've been a regular of the same therapist ever since. The front office is comfortable and relaxing as you step in, which is great because I always need a minute or so to mentally pause and prepare to relax. The interior massage rooms are pretty small at this location, but sufficient. The massage tables are very comfy and padded, and are adjustable so you don't have to hop up too high when you're getting on. The entire facility is spotless, which I always appreciate. Well I've waited to write this review until I tried other massage establishments. Now that I have, my recommendation is run, not walk, run. There are fine businesses out there that will actually treat you like a customer and value you; and not like you owe them for you doing business with them. They also won't charge you a monthly fee. I went to to the 147th and maple Massage Envy for over 3 years. Paid over $1000 each year. Only to have appointments canceled without telling me or not scheduling them at all. The therapist was ok, once I got used to hearing all of her aches and pains. The front office was horrible. It became obvious that my therapist was scared to death of them. So when I got a survey I responded the way I felt. The next thing I know is Jordan AN ASSISTANT MANAGER is contacting me. I've never been talked to like that ever from a company I did business with. Evidently being an Assistant Manager was her life goal. I will live in pain before I ever do business with them again. The atmosphere here is great and the staff is very friendly. I called on a Friday afternoon and got an appointment for Sunday at 11:30am, so they're very flexible with scheduling and openings. Furthermore, massage envy is cheaper than other places in the area, but still provide quailty products and services. I had some major knots in my shoulders that were causing some headaches and needed to destress from the day-to-day stuff. My masseuse was great and really worked on my knots in my shoulders. I was sore for a couple of days because they were so large! However, I'm feeling great now and have no headaches and pressure so he was great. Don't let anyone talk you into a membership. They don't tell you it is a 12 month contract and you have only one opportunity to share a session with your partner. I was told I could drop the membership at anytime with no penalties. I was also told I could visit other massage envy locations but not told it would cost $10 for transfer fee. I made an appointment for a massage and was not told the therapist called off work and no accommodations were made to make things right. You also have to pay $20 if you want to put your membership on hold to be able to use the sessions you already paid for. And if you cancel your membership, you lose all of the sessions you paid for. I have $560 worth of sessions I paid for and they refuse to refund me. Management informed me that they had to contact the franchise owner and corporate to get authorization to refund my money but they have not provided any documentation to prove they have done so to date. Not a way to run a business, guess I will seek legal recourse for relief. And to top it off, the one massage I did receive was not great. This location and the legacy location are the best in Omaha. But the one on Maple takes the cake for my wife and I. They are a great management team followed by with tremendous front of the house team. They are very caring and try to accommodate whenever there isn't a time open or specific therapist. I used a gift card the first time and used the remaining balance to put towards a 6 month membership and my second massage was absolutely incredible. It was night and day from therapist to therapist so I suppose your experience is dependent upon a singular person. Please take my advice. Do not enter into a membership here or schedule a massage at this location when there are other options in town. Go elsewhere in the Massage Envy system. It's well understood among other Massage Envy franchises I've spoken to that this location has continued problems with staff turnover and scheduling issues that makes the customer experience much, much less than optimal. Combine this with an element of arrogance exhibited by the franchise owner and local manager and I can assure you that you will be trying to terminate you membership much sooner than you'd expect. Do yourself a favor. Go to the LaVista franchise. I found the staff there to be much more flexible, genuine, and accommodating with an open schedule with quality therapists. Stay away from Maple. Massage Envy Maple will no doubt bash this write-up in the same way that they defended themselves when I challenged them about the quality of their service three days ago (from manager Brian: "so you are saying our service SUCKS?"). I can only hope that standards of professionalism are better exercised when they claim I was an unreasonable client. I paid thousands of dollars to this location over the duration of my membership. In the end, they kept $250 of my money by refusing to exempt policy when I terminated my agreement. I just had had enough of their substandard services. Again, go elsewhere. I went in over 3 weeks ago for a facial. While I was there, the technician started messing with the back of my head in a rather rough massage technique. I should have stopped her immediately, but I didn't. I'm paying for it now big time, as I have had a stiff neck and headaches every single day for three weeks. I have seen a chiropractor once and it felt better for about a day. She said that the massage was so ridiculously rough that it actually moved my C3 disk. I am going back to see the chiropractor again today. If I get no long lasting relief, I will be seeing my GP. I signed up for the membership a year ago. Because of Covid I was rarely ever able to make it into get a service done. I have MANY points built up in my account because of this. I needed to cancel my membership because I couldn't make it in and need the cash to go to something useful. At the beginning of the month I called to cancel my membership and was told that I had to print out a form and mail or email it to the company. I did exactly as was requested and did so immediately. Today I got a charge on my bank account for this membership. When I called I was told that I 'had spoken to management about this' and knew about the charge for one last time. This was a blatant lie and falsification of documents. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE ABOUT MY ACCOUNT CANCELLATION after I had done what I was told to do. ONLY AFTER calling to follow up after I was charged was I told that management had cancelled my account and I will NOT be getting my last payment back. This place is shady and clearly doesn't understand the merits of communication OR the importance of falsifying information on a customer's account. AVOID GETTING A MEMBERSHIP AT THIS PLACE! For whatever it is worth, my wife purchased your Valentine's day special - buying a $100 gift certificate for me that also came with a $25 coupon. We have had massages all over the country - but do not do them regularly. We each have been to this location before but it has been several years. We wanted to post some feedback for future reference regarding our very poor experience - the counter attendant offered to go get the manager when she asked how we liked the service, but they had several customers at the counter when we were checking out - so we gave her some constructive feedback but then thought we would send them a similar e-mail to explain more thoroughly. Their assistant manager initially replied and offered a "redo" but we have not heard back from him - and quite honestly, do not expect to. We elected to do the couples massage at 2:30p today and were asked to arrive at 2:15p to complete some paperwork. We arrived at about 2:10p and completed the paperwork - much of which described what we wanted to address in our session. However, it appears that we wasted the time completing the paperwork if the therapist is not going to read it as follows: * Despite the paperwork, we were asked again by the therapists what we wanted to address as their questions did not appear to reflect the fact that they even read the instructions. Normally we have been accustomed to the therapist asking for clarification - but not starting from scratch. * Both the paperwork and our instructions addressed several areas that were not even touched: o We repeated full body massages - but light on glutes and not our abdomens - but everything else was to be included. This did not happen. o My therapist must have spent half the time on my left shoulder as she did not touch the tops of my legs or feet. o My wife's therapist was reminded that she had a hamstring pull - but the back of her legs were not addressed at all. o My wife mentioned that he "slapped" her calves and back - did not rub them - this is the first time she has experienced this in a massage session. o Both therapists spent an inordinate amount of time using supposedly identifying pressure points vs. actually massaging. In fact, a couple of time, we thought they were finished. * Not to be rude, but the therapists should make sure that they are ready as well - including making sure their hands are soft and their breath is fresh especially when they are working on the upper torso/chest/head and the client is facing up. * Not much massage oil was used and my therapist's hands were a bit rough (although my wife said her therapists were fine). The oil had no scent either and many times we get asked what fragrance we would like before the session. The front desk advised that both therapists were experienced - although we do not get massages often, for the ones we have had, these were clearly not of the quality we have had in the past (including at your location). read more
