Minimal coverage provided, so if you're particularly shy, know that only the essentials are hidden. The room was warm enough that I was not uncomfortable. None of the Asian women speak much English, so be prepared for that. They do conduct themselves professionally though! Unlike reviews of other places, my worker stayed in the room and worked on me the full hour, other than fetching a hot towel once. I was not asked about specifics, so it was mostly surface strokes and some stretching. Very light oil. Mostly face down; maybe the last 15 flipped over. Compared to previous experiences at other venues, I don't think that my worker had taken formal classes. I was left to get dressed, and when I did, I was asked for a tip with humility. Thankfully I was not harassed for more money, as I've read happens at other places. I picked up a card on the way out: Golden Phoenix Massage. Not the same as what is on the door. Maybe they did, or are, rebranding? Summary: It was a good, basic relaxation massage for $60. If you want a more therapeutic experience, go to one of the many places around that charges $90 or more.

Normally I see Becca who does an amazing job however, this time I was scheduled with Tina. Prior to the massage, I explained my chronic back pain and preference of a deep tissue massage. She refused to give me a deep tissue massage and mentioned that I wouldn't even need to take my clothes off and we would be doing abdominal breathing as part of the massage... She was extremely hostile and not friendly like I have typically experience in the past. I would still recommend Theta however, I would not recommend Tina. I am a few months postpartum and was really looking forward to having relief from my chronic back pain and drove 40 minutes round-trip for nothing. Extremely disappointing.

I went for a deep tissue massage wanting to get some of the knots in my aching shoulders worked out and I can tell you I walked out in just as much pain as I walked in with - no improvement. The massage therapist tried to sell that you 'couldn't fix everything in a day' which I understand, but when you pay for an hour long session you expect at least some trace of relief. She seemed incredibly hesitant to apply any pressure to actually get anything worked out, even when I pointed directly to a problem area. I would not recommend this place for those who prefer firmer pressure. Edit: Michelle was super fast in getting back to me which I appreciate. She offered me an appointment with an alternative massage therapist, which I've taken her up on. Very good customer support. Edit: Michelle arranged to have me come in for another appointment with a different massage therapist, Zoe, who did a wonderful job and finally got me out of the pain I've been in for weeks. A very good group of people. I would especially recommend Zoe's services.

I didn't find it particularly off-putting but a few questions had me pause because the delivery was overly direct (why have I tried multiple massage locations, etc). I can roll with that style but can connect the dots with a few other reviews around customer service. Difference in style is my guess, but it would not be enough to deter me from coming back - the massage was excellent which is what I am ultimately coming for. Worth the Groupon gamble

Jesse is one of the owners and was very rude to me when I got there and found I had a male massage therapist. I would never have agreed to that. She said my text noted that, but it did not. The receptionist was just as rude telling me she told me on the call I was going to have a male massage therapist. This also is untrue. Rather than trying to make it right, they kept trying to put the blame on me. I was told I was rude and disrespectful as I wanted a refund and was told they were going to call the police if I didn't leave. I work with customers all day long and would never have imagined this type of treatment went on. Beware of this place. Even with a Groupon, not worth it. Groupon refunded me when I told them the police were called as I was rude and disrespectful. They get one star as zero is not an option. Also, Steve, another owner, came up and tried to make it right and cancelled the police call. He was great, but he can't make up for everyone else and their unprofessionalism, immaturity, and complete lack of any business sense.
