Lisa was my Aesthetician and I cannot say enough about her. She was extremely knowledgeable. I told her I had very sensitive skin and she walked me through everything. She walked me through every step, she explained what products she was using and what ingredients were in them she was very conscientious of my skin sensitivity. She had extremely gentle hands. She never pulled, tugged or stretched my skin even when she did the extractions she was very gentle. The products she used never once burned or made my skin uncomfortable. A true professional. I have a membership with Massage Envy and have found this location easy to get to and pretty easy to book at since I don't have a lot of time to plan out my visits. I like to go in and get some relax time when I can. The staff at the front has always been very friendly and the therapists are great and listen to your needs. I can count on this location to help me relax, unwind, and get some stress out. They have also helped with some sore muscles. I have done the facials here as well and I love the glow of my skin after. Hope to get back next month again. read more

My friend gifted me a facial package and I was excited at first to try somewhere new. However today's visit has me very appreciative that I don't have a membership. The aesthetician had to be a newbie. She was not forthcoming with information as to products she was using, the next steps in the facial, or even reading my body language. I understand that the nose is the most sensitive but when I am expressing my agitation and she continues to press the area it show that she was just going through the motions and not trying to making me, the customer, comfortable. read more

Be careful! Once you give them your telephone number They will call you at all hours of the day and including the weekend. Sometimes few times a day. Too much sales calls. They create more stress than relieve it. Why don't they use emails and text messaging like I asked them to. Beyond pissed. After running a marathon, I was excited to get a specific 90 minute massages. Only to know, they booked me with someone who only does basic massages. Why do they ask you questions as to which type of massage you want? I have a Massage Envy membership and front desk is never specific about booking you with the correct person.. We will never be back. Took my boyfriend in for a facial for Cystic acne and inflammation. When setting up the appointment the receptionist told me there were many different facials he would be able to choose from and they would explain to him what would be best for his skin. Once we arrived they told us it would be about 60 minutes for the facial it self. Once he was back there they told him he only had two options first was a facial in which they would use only steam And worked mostly on his arms and a little on his face but it really wouldn't do much for him, the second option was $40 more and a Microderm treatment which is the only thing that would work on his skin according to them. He opted for the Microderm thinking it would help because this professional was telling him that's what he needed. The treatment itself lasted about 30 minutes and they spent another 30 minutes trying to sell his products and a membership. They then told him he would need to come back in another two weeks for a follow up Microderm treatment. Microderm is for fine lines and wrinkles and makes inflation and bad acne worse. I was told their manger, Bo, would call me on Tuesday( our appointment was on Sunday) however, he did not call and I was told he would call Wednesday. Still no call, so I called again and was able to speak with him finally. He was just as condescending and untruthful as his staff. He explained that Microderm infusion treatments ate something they use for acne all the time and we are just confused. Really sad that people only care about making more money and not their clients. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for ~2 years. In that time, I've enjoyed monthly or sometimes twice monthly sessions. Today, I was sick and in the interest of not wanting to spread my illness, I called at the opening of business, to let them know I was sick. I was told that I would be charged 50% of the standard rate for the cancellation. The young lady was pleasant and asked if she could run the credit card on file for the fee. I replied that I was mixed in my mind as to the charge, and that I would sort the charge when I wasn't sick. I told her that I may be a bit agitated due to the illness, and wanted to have a clear head prior to addressing the charge. Five minutes later, I received a notification from American Express that my card had been charged the cancellation fee. I called back and asked if they had charged my card for the cancellation fee. She replied that she did not but her manager had charged me. I asked if she had relayed my message to the manager and she said she had. I asked to speak with the manager. I was greeted by Bo(sp?). I asked him if the young lady had relayed my concern and he said she had not, but that he had to charge me under the rules. I asked if he saw any problem with charging my card when I expressly told them not to use the card. He cut me off by saying, "The problem is you not showing up for your appointment." His insolent tone was like none I've heard from a nationwide chain. My anger at this point made me respond with a firm, "Excuse me???" His tone continued to show his lack of respect and professionalism. I demanded that he cancel my membership. To this he responded apathetically and with a disrespectful tone. I told him that I would come down there to resolve the issue. After time to cool down, I called and asked for his superior's name. He told me Debbie was the owner. I asked to speak with her. He told me should would be in around 2PM. I asked him to have her return my call as soon as possible. I then told him that I was dissapointed with his tone and was hoping for an apology. He very disrespectfully told me "Why would I apologize when I haven't done anything wrong?" This was said as a statement rather than a question. He then told me he had witnesses in the form of the girl I had initially talked to that would back up his story. I responded that we'll see how that works out when I contact corporate and write a review. I would have probably paid the cancellation fee if I had been treated professionally. Respect and professionalism are essential foundations for any business, particularly in the service industry. I was shocked that someone like Bo can be put into a position of customer interaction at a managerial level. I'm very disappointed with the management, and after reading the other reviews, I can see I'm not alone. Update: I never received a call back from Debbie, the owner. read more

Draconian restrictions on accounts mar an otherwise fair establishment. Once you sign up as a "member" you are locked in for a year. My wife's contract ended a few months before mine, so I thought I would just use some of the credits I had saved up on her, and we could go together. After all, I did pay for them in good faith. Well, come to find out you can't use the credits that you paid for on the same person more than once in a six month period. So even though I paid for them, I couldn't use them. Zero communication about any of these restrictions when joining. The staff here seem decent, they just work for a company that has no interest in customer satisfaction. read more

Since my originally review I have been seeing Kurt regularly for over a year. I would recommend him to anyone. He is very professional, easy to talk to, and knows when to communicate and when to let you relax and fall asleep. It is my opinion that the massage experience is somewhere around 80% about the massage therapist and 20% about the front office staff and the facilities in general. The facilities and front office staff are good but Kurt being an outstanding massage therapist is what has really made my experience as great as it has been. If you're a guy worried about getting a massage from another guy, just stop. It is a professional setting and although I have had some very good massages from a woman, the pressure Kurt can offer is above and beyond what I have experienced from a woman. read more

I have a ME membership and my home location is in CA, but I've been to this location during a couple of visits to family. First time I came in Jan I had Sintia for my therapist - very communicative, just the right pressure & made me feel comfortable & relaxed. These past two weeks I saw Minji (I'm not sure how to spell her name, my apologies) for 3 separate visits and they were some of my best massages to date. She is very methodical, focused, in-tune & has great energy. She also made me feel relaxed and comfortable. While the front desk staff do offer enhancements (as I'm sure they're encouraged to), I've never felt pressured or pestered to purchase anything. Front desk staff members are always polite, friendly & professional. The facility is kept very clean (and I use the restroom every time) & has a calm atmosphere. I'll wrap it up, I've had great experiences here & I highly recommended the massage therapists mentioned above. read more

I have been a member at massage envy for a few months now. I had really enjoyed my service until today when I went in. I had paid my monthly payment and had not received the message when I scheduled it it had already been rolled over to the next month. I needed to put my account of suspension because I am moving. They would not allow me to get my massage because I would not pay another monthly payment although I was not going to be in the area. I asked to talk to the manager but they said the manager was gone for the day they did not do anything but say that my $60 would be going to my cancellation. I basically wasted $60 to go to a cancellation because they wouldn't give me something I already paid for. They also did nothing to help out. Staff was so kind and welcoming. Kurt was my massage therapist. All I can say is BEST MASSAGE I'VE EVER HAD. I'm a runner and he works on Olympic runners so it was the perfect match. Massage Envy has horrible membership rules. You can't use accrued visits after you cancel but if you rebook as a non meme we the rate is a "don't come back" $90. Add that to generally condescending front desk staff and you arrive at one star rating. Try another place like Hand and Stone. read more
