It's been a stressful year for us all between election, Covid, and just honestly all the crap from 2020 and into 2021 has already thrown us. I booked my appointment and expressed my concerns since I know it's also important to ensure any establishment like this would be comfortable given the health issues I have. Madelyn was so sweet and limited her availability before the appointment to ensure the room was safe for me and really just created a safe space from the start. Upon arrival, I started the consult saying I was basically a human knot and carry almost all my stress in my neck/back/shoulder area. When she started she goes "oh you weren't kidding." Lmao, NOPE. Ya girl is broken. She really got into all of my concerns and showed my muscles that in all actuality she is boss. I think she found knots in muscles I didn't even know existed? Will I be back? Then I heard one or two other people come in, walking around the small room, where previously we had been alone. I heard breathing behind me which made me uncomfortable. When there was a pause in my massage, I looked back behind me to see if I was just being paranoid but there was a guy sitting just two feet behind me with his phone in his hands! I don't know if he was recording, or just genuinely unaware of how creepy it was that he decided to just sit right behind me while I wasn't able to keep an eye on him, but I was upset and unsettled for the rest of the time there. So creepy, I'm only posting this review to warn other women and in the hopes the staff might turn away from doing this again. In addition to that, the chair for me to sit in was placed in the very front of the store, it was warm, with no sound or music from speakers to cover up the heavy breathing and stomach growling noises from the man giving my "massage". I tried chiropractic care, physical therapy, and various other massage therapist. Only 1 massage therapist has made a significant positive difference - and he lives all the way in Washington State! I scoured the internet and yelp for medical massages - I don't need the fluff of a spa or a place to relax, I needed someone to get in there and work out that pinched nerve! I needed results! I can't thank Ross enough for how much time and care she took when working on me last week. She was thorough, and had lots of tricks up her sleeves including aromatherapy and some metal scraping tools. I have never had someone use a fascia tool on me and was absolutely thrilled!! Ohhh wee....I was in pain on the table and was sore after...but the massage worked! My pain isn't as bad and for the first time in 4 months i was able to sleep on the side of the pinched nerve!! I found my GO TO massage therapist in Dallas and am considering getting a membership for a 1 hour tune up per month to see Ross. Another guest without a code was allowed inside, yet I received noticeably better treatment ,massage after the bath plus a few additional goodies while using the sauna. The space was ready and her gentle style kept the atmosphere calm the entire time. The session stayed private and delivered what I wanted, including HE. Before I left she suggested a basic 30-day exercise routine. Communication worked smoothly with Google Translate.
