I was expecting it to be high since they have a decked out showroom. She was able to put us on schedule for a very fast turnaround. She contacted her PM and scheduler, and got us on a very tight schedule. Other companies promised but didn't have a convincing confirmation on their guaranteed delivery. The quality of the work was incredible. There were 6 guys carrying five slabs of granite. They also left me with a sealer and a cleaning solutions. There was only one seam but the pattern and the seam are incredibly well matched and done.

Update: Finally got delivery scheduled for Tuesday 10-11AM. At 11:45 I called to inquire where…read morethe delivery was. I was told they'd call me back. at about 1 I checked my email and there was a message that the truck got a flat and could they reschedule. I wrote back sure any time after 4:30 that day would be great. Another email said sure we can deliver after 4:30. At 4:50 (since they close at 5) I called and had to threaten to cancel the credit card payment. Vanity Showed up at 5:15. Later that night I emailed them back that the vanity was installed and when can they come to template the top. It's two days later and two emails later (another one this morning) and a phone call and they'll get back to me. Bill Shea's just gave me a quote for the same price for the same counter top, they'll come next week to template and should have the countertop ready for install in 10 days from that. I think I'm going to dispute the credit card charges if I don't hear back by the end of today and go with Bill Shea's. AVOID VANITY WORLD unless you want a never ending project. 2nd Update: Went to VW to ask for refund for the countertop part of my bill. They refused and told me to "Get the F*&k out". Contesting with credit card company. Looks like this will end up in small claims.

From the initial design process with Danielle we felt at home with her guidance, and she made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. Danielle was extremely knowledgeable, and put us on the right path with regard to our budget, design expectations and really helping us to understand how the entire process works. Right from the beginning, we knew we had reached out to the right company. Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Our dog clearly misses Steve, John and Mike as they became best friends it seems during the project. Additionally, Kelsea from the PMA team was a huge help in keeping the schedule/accounting on track for us. We were THRILLED with the final product (photos attached), and we are so very thankful for all of the hard work of the entire NKB team to bring our dream bathroom to life (before the baby, may I add)! Our design person was good; however, the installers were a problem. There were a number of glaring…read moreerrors throughout (scheduling, coordination, project management, install errors, did not follow the design plan, etc.). Completion took more than twice the time they estimated. Once completed, the electrical system would not function. We requested the issues be fixed so the kitchen could be functional, but Norfolk Kitchens refused. They acknowledged the electrical problems existed, but stated because they were not legally obligated to remedy their poor workmanship because it was "up to code". Apparently new electrical systems don't have to function properly to meet "code". In our instance, Norfolk Kitchens failed to do work to a standard that resulted in a workable kitchen. Very poor workmanship.

While my wife handled the original coordination, I got to really know the company when they did the Stoughton Ma home. I have to say that they are just fantastic. In addition, I have to tell you about both Joann and Tom Bartucca and give you the story of the two kitchens and explain why the big shout out about this company. It goes without saying that a great kitchen will sell a home, and after the 2015 Ice Dams in Sharon Ma, we redid the kitchen. My wife wanted good cabinets and I let her locate the companies to do the design and work. Besides getting good cabinets, Joann suggested a spice rack and a double lazy Susan. Joann laid out the entire design using a computer to help show the concept in 3D. No matter how many times you called, she always answered. Anybody who saw that spice rack, double lazy susan, and the large pull out drawers asked what company did that! It was one of the big features in selling the house. So when we moved, my wife wanted to keep the same kitchen and I agreed, it made sense in case we ever had to move again (which we hope not). However, this time, my wife decided to get the counter tops on her own, and when it came to installing the countertops, the granite company claimed the cabinets were not level, and it needed a large shim. Well Tom came that day and showed them that they needed to shim the back, not the front. He did not have to come, but came to be present because we wanted to make sure it was coordinated. He measured two perpendicular dimensions, the granite people only checked one dimension, a diagonal, but still, they needed two perpendicular directions. Tom also solved some hidden structural defects in our kitchen, as there was some damaged flooring due to water leaks. In addition, when I mentioned to Tom that our garage door opener had stopped closing, he took a quick look, and adjusted the sensor. Also, the electricians and plumbers that he brought in were top quality. Finally, during the entire process, I got to see Tom reason out and solve problems, and witness his attention to detail including: a) making sure no cabinet door would scratch the next door, adjusting knobs, and making sure the site was cleaned each night before they left. Both Joann and Tom are just excellent, a joy to work with, and they have great personalities. You get what you pay for, but with Custom Design Cabinetry Inc, you also get the diagnostic talents of Tom looking at your entire home and the design experience of Joann.
