Have gone diving with Mark from Mass diving a few times and he is excellent and knowledgeable. Very attentive to his group from start to finish including traveling. He arranges many dive trip per year and follows through with all the details. His selection of dive resorts have been very good. In addition he is also available to answer your questions and concerns. He has offered and given help regarding equipment. I just had the pleasure of sharing a dive boat in Cuba's Jardines de la Reina with Mark Potter of Mass Diving and could not resist the opportunity to share what a wonderful experience I had with him. We just happened to find ourselves in the same dive group (I am not a customer or a travel client of Mark or Mass Diving--not yet, anyway!), and yet Mark spent the week sharing his considerable knowledge base with me and with all of his fellow divers. Given how kind, fun, attentive and generous Mark was with random dive partners in his group, I can only imagine the level of service and care that his actual customers and clients would receive on one of his trips! Our family spends a lot of the summer in wetsuits. We've bought 5 from here and Mr. G has had his pressure gauge fixed. Can't go diving without one! The people are pleasant and helpful and they have an array of suits and gear. The beauty of a wetsuit. No sun screen needed since the majority of your body is covered, you stay warm, you keep the sand from creeping up your butt and your skin stays scuff free when the waves throw you back up on shore. I had one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life at Mass Diving. Everyone I met was very nice and attentive. I can't even fully express how satisfied I was after leaving the shop. I just completed my open water certification this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about when I am going to dive next. On the less than positive side of things, I had a death in the family that morning and I took the hour trip to the shop to get my mind off of everything. My experience there completely made my day feel less depressing. I was told by a few people early on, that the dive community is "awesome and welcoming" and I have to say that everyone I met, especially Mark and Laura, are the optimoe of that. I live over an hour away in New Hampshire. I made the drive and will do so again if for nothing else than the experience and customer service. Aside from the amazing personable nature of the people, the shop itself was immaculate. It is definitely the biggest and nicest shop I have visited so far. And unlike a lot of businesses these days, there was zero pressure to buy anything. If you need the latest in diving equipment as well as a wealth of knowledge and top notch customer service, look no further. Ask for Laura. You won't regret it. She is the perfect example of how to treat customers as well as what the love and enthusiasm for the sport of diving is all about. read more

These guys remind me of that Southwest Airlines commercial where one diver runs out of air and the other diver offers him some of his for a mere $35 upgrade fee. Hilarious. Mass Diving is pretty funny too, def NOT recommended. I dropped my gear off to be serviced at Mass Diving and was told it'd be just a few days for them to get to it. 18 days later, the day before my diving trip, I finally get it back. Although the service job was good, it was insanely overpriced and customer service non-existent. No apology, no discount, nothing. Considering there are several scuba shops in the area, these guys would be well served to understand that they have plenty of competition. Comical. read more

Mass Diving - Snorkeling Near Me - Natick, Massachusetts

I have two issues. One, when I went to the store to ask some questions about my sons scuba certification the woman who interacted with me was down right rude. She just wasn't nice. For example, I was trying to start a question and started with "boy I have a million things going on right now....." (If I got to finish I was going to say " so I am not on top of the details as I would like". But she interrupted me and said "I have a lot going on too" in a not customer service friendly way. Really? I was really turned off. Two, I sent my teenage sons to buy the basics because I could not join them. We had a list of the basics they need (mask, snorkel, fins) and they were talked into buying $40 gloves. Come on. There is nothing worse than taking advantage of young kids. Maybe they are the only game in town but there is no reason to ask that way. read more

Yeah, no. This place has a lot of selection but it is not worth it to go. They charge full price at everything. Luckily i was able to find the same item online and it was literally 70% off the price they charged me. Check your receipt if you ever go here. The worst would be the lady who works here. She was beyond rude. I will never spend a dime at this place ever again and you should not too. I never was treated like this at any shop. I felt disrespected and worst of all just flat out angry. Take your business elsewhere unless you enjoy being treated like trash. read more

I am a surfer, paddle boarder, ocean kayaker, swimmer, and aspiring to attempt free diving. I live on the north shore and have surfed all over and I scuba dived once. I needed a new wetsuit for surfing/paddling mostly but also wanted it multi use. I have run half marathons so I am also considering maybe a triathalon in the future. All that said when I went into this establishment the sales clerk who also seems to know everything about everything and was also working on some things in the back was amazing. He helped find me a wetsuit I could move in. He also got me covered for extra layers for colder spring and fall water via a vest and showed me some new stuff I hadn't even considered thinking about. It was a wonderful trip. I also didn't spend thousands which is always good. He was funny and kind and even swapped Pokémon tips with my 12 year old step daughter. We will be back a lot more often moving forward. read more

My brand new research team and I descended upon these guys with (in some cases) zero experience in the water, and a ton of fears. We now have a skill set that has left me in awe that I ever dove before this place, before knowing these people. I cannot say enough about their customer service, their body of knowledge, their rock-solid nerves when one of us throws a potentially dangerous curveball. This is a special breed of people, and a special place. My dive partner said it best after a tough day - "I always hear 'support your local dive shop'. Now I know why." I have seen some negative reviews about MASS Diving, which surprises me. My experiences with them have been overwhelmingly positive. Friendly, knowledgeable people (Mark, Carol, Laura, Peter). Full-service shop for equipment, training, & advice. I don't do the local dives but have been on a couple of their group trips to exotic places & had a blast both times. My experience with this shop is that the guys were really down-to-earth and offered exceptional customer service. I emailed about getting a prescription mask, one of the owners emailed back immediately even though he was off skiing that day. They got the lenses I needed in the store, fit me for a mask & were just generally helpful. I liked them. read more

I just completed my courses and got certified through Mass Diving. They were all so friendly and helpful from my first visit to to the store pick out fins, snorkel and mask until the final day when we became certified. Laura helped us with everything. She took the time to explain everything we needed to buy for our dives and went over our options based on cost and practicality. Laura actually taught our pool dives as well as our open water dives and I can't say enough about what a great teacher she is! She adapts to each student and explains everything so clearly and made me feel so comfortable. Leaning to dive was my husbands goal and I joined him in the adventure. I have to say that I was nervous and maybe a bit anxious about doing this... but I am so glad I did because I had such a great time! l look forward to taking more courses through Mass Diving to deepen my knowledge and enhance my diving experiences! read more
