They focus more on outdoor recreation & highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for more stock of these brands: Varley, Patagonia, North Face, Vuori, Free People, Fjallraven, Arc'teryx, Marine Layer, Stanley/Yeti/Owala/Brumate, & more. I found Public Lands to be a more elevated DSG & loved the store...Very nice displays on the floor! They have a lovely selection of women's, men's, and children's. Being a member comes with good deals - definitely worth signing up. The real gems here are the specialty employees though. Many of the sections have an expert wandering around ready to help answer incredibly specific questions and give recommendations. One such expert was named Clay I believe working in the boot section. He spent a long time with my husband showing him how to size boots differently than shoes, having him test it out on practice terrain, and picking the best fit for activity and price. These are the best fitting boots he's ever had!

After asking for help, positioning myself in a place where I was easily accessible to any sales person, I watched as each salesperson helped another patron around me. It took persistently initiating a dialogue to gain some semblance of help that was quickly discontinued. As a young person of color, I will not be returning to this REI location, but will bring my business elsewhere. Really a same, I've enjoyed REI in the past but this experience has been discouraging.

Loving this new store. I visit Famous often, and even though I bought new shoes, I just had to stop…read moreby the Natick store for the grand opening. This new Famous Footwear sits in the Natick Mall on Route 9 in Natick, across from the food court and near the Sears entrance. The most convenient way to access it if you aren't in the mall already for other shopping is to park near Sears and cut through. What I find bizarre is how Famous Footwear is now opening in the mall, after they had a larger, more easily accessible location in the Sherwood Plaza around ten years ago, that closed just after opening. Regardless, this place seems like it is a good location also since every store does well at the Natick Mall! Staff at the store today were friendly, helpful and attentive to all of the new customers. Large variety and top stock. I can't say it's the largest Famous Footwear location I've been to, but then again I had no problem finding myself a sharp looking pair of shoes to accompany for the season. I am a huge sandal / slide person, but have discovered that even in the summer, having shoes is still necessary. This place opened right in the nick of time. Very new design used in this store, that actually I find effective. Benches throughout the entire middle of the store for any customers to try shoes on, and separate sides of the store for different types of footwear (dress shoes, sneakers, and of course, sandals). Good selection, good prices and super clean, organized store! Remember, the best secret is to park by Sears (the best parking lot to park in at any time...), cut through the store and enter the mall. It's the first store on the right. 5 stars.
