When you approach management about needing help , more staff , or equipment , there is always an excuse ... some staff doesn't have to work weekends , while others do . Apparently it's "earned" although other therapists who have been there the same amount of time do not get the same treatment ... or time off without finding their own coverage . Definitely favoritism . The therapist to patient ratio is astronomical so it's very dangerous for the patients . The pay is awful , the health insurance is worse . Very shady and under qualified upper management from the very top --down . Also , no pulmonologist on staff which is kind of rediculous when you need a knowledgeable doctor to give proper pulmonary (lung) care ... don't send your loved ones here , it's a mistake... Can zero stars be enough ?

This is the most depressing rehab facility I have ever been in. Upon entering you have no check in, no security on site and then there are the poor souls consigned to there. A good friend spent years there and the staffs ineptness almost killed him every 90 days. The nurses are far out numbered per ratio of patients so your love one has a high % of being neglected simple because they are under staffed. If you are recovering from an illness or health scare try do it at home ( patient bill of rights ) or go to a better managed facility.

I think this is a good facility for people with disabilities…read more If families can take care of their loved ones instead of leaving them behind while they are using this facility, I think it is a satisfactory place. If you are going to leave them behind 100% of the time, I don't think you will be satisfied here. I suggest you pay a lot of money and find a private place. - What I like - ・The location is in a natural setting and all the hairs are bright and have a view of the outdoors. ・There are many birds and animals and you can observe natural animals from your room. ・The garden is beautiful and you can sunbathe outdoors comfortably. I also like the rehabilitation here. ・The nurses work on a schedule so I can trust them even if you need medical care. - Dislikes - ・Linens such as sheets and towels are very old and uncomfortable to use. ・Hallways are smelly. ・The number of patients seems to exceed what the people who work here can tolerate to care for them. For those reasons, the care on weekends and at night is lousy. (To counteract the problems, family members can provide care or hire a care giver on the weekends.) ・The amount of money you pay is not balanced by the care you receive.

Special shoutout to Tony on the temporary unit. Also the Physical Therapy was top notch. I went from being completely ambulatory to walking out within two weeks. Highly recommended b

Luther Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - The nurse told me "this is normal." This is a Band-Aid that was put on the wound of a bedsore.

I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

My father moved into independent living while my mom had to go into skilled nursing. My father is able to visit my mom everyday since they were located within the same campus. Bad weather no problem, you only have to walk across an enclosed bridge. The various levels of care both my parents have been receiving is exemplary. Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.

My son was there for 13 months and aside from the therapists, a few good nurses and a couple aides,…read morehis care was deplorable. Administration does a terrible job with communication, the food is barely edible. It took so long to get my son's diet correct (months) and when they finally did, it was cold with absolutely no taste whatsoever. I walked in to him being fed in a reclining position! He was dropped from his lift 3 times, his peg tube was yanked out during a night time changing! I was later told no incident reports were filed for these things!!! One day he had his roommate's clothes on, and his roommate had his on, as well as being in my son's custom wheelchair!! The mistake was very visible as they were completely different sized men, and both looked strange in what they were wearing. Complaints go unanswered for days weeks and months. The building itself is so poorly maintained, and absolutely filthy. I kept a bottle of Pine-Sol spray so that I could spray my son's bathroom down when I visited, so that I was able to use the faucets to wash him. Often times his roommates feces would be on the toilet the wall and the sink. The soap dispenser was broken for six weeks before I finally got administration to put a new one in. Safe to say, no one was washing their hands, but me! Often times, the same washbasin was used on all four roommates head to toe. I complained about this several times, absolutely horrified at how unsanitary and grotesque it was, and yet it took weeks and several complaints, before it was rectified! My son's clothes were mixed in with the community clothing, although there were signs everywhere saying that I did his laundry, subsequently, half of his clothing went missing, which was expensive. It is a revolving door of staff that spoke very little English, so it was very frustrating for many of the residents as the staff had no idea what they were saying, so naturally couldn't attend to their needs. Literally, call bells went unanswered for over an hour sometimes, while staff were on their phones. My son was fearful of his safety and well being. The final straw was an extremely dangerous situation that could have caused serious harm, or much worse, had I not walked in when I did! BEWARE!!!!
