My son was there for 13 months and aside from the therapists, a few good nurses and a couple aides,…read morehis care was deplorable. Administration does a terrible job with communication, the food is barely edible. It took so long to get my son's diet correct (months) and when they finally did, it was cold with absolutely no taste whatsoever. I walked in to him being fed in a reclining position! He was dropped from his lift 3 times, his peg tube was yanked out during a night time changing! I was later told no incident reports were filed for these things!!! One day he had his roommate's clothes on, and his roommate had his on, as well as being in my son's custom wheelchair!! The mistake was very visible as they were completely different sized men, and both looked strange in what they were wearing. Complaints go unanswered for days weeks and months. The building itself is so poorly maintained, and absolutely filthy. I kept a bottle of Pine-Sol spray so that I could spray my son's bathroom down when I visited, so that I was able to use the faucets to wash him. Often times his roommates feces would be on the toilet the wall and the sink. The soap dispenser was broken for six weeks before I finally got administration to put a new one in. Safe to say, no one was washing their hands, but me! Often times, the same washbasin was used on all four roommates head to toe. I complained about this several times, absolutely horrified at how unsanitary and grotesque it was, and yet it took weeks and several complaints, before it was rectified! My son's clothes were mixed in with the community clothing, although there were signs everywhere saying that I did his laundry, subsequently, half of his clothing went missing, which was expensive. It is a revolving door of staff that spoke very little English, so it was very frustrating for many of the residents as the staff had no idea what they were saying, so naturally couldn't attend to their needs. Literally, call bells went unanswered for over an hour sometimes, while staff were on their phones. My son was fearful of his safety and well being. The final straw was an extremely dangerous situation that could have caused serious harm, or much worse, had I not walked in when I did! BEWARE!!!!

As a medical professional but now a patient, I have found my care at The Institute for Hand & Upper…read moreExtremity Rehabilitation to be top notch! They have been able to accommodate me when my surgeon has sent me directly over for special treatments and I have had no difficulty making my other appointments. John has been my primary provider there and he is so extremely knowledgeable, is excellent at teaching about your medical problem, he is compassionate and his care has been excellent! When I have had Jenna, she also was fantastic! They are highly regarded and highly recommended by me as well as by my surgeon, for hand therapy.

You wrote a review for Lehigh Valley Hospital 2 days ago…read more 7/31/2019 TO: Esteemed Board of Trustees, et al FROM: Mrs. Dianne Le Vasseur (MRN:00769229) RE: Cedar Crest 07/16-07/19/19 My recent stay of four (4) days has prompted me to write this letter. In light of the Presidential Debates, it is in my view, important to "accept responsibility for our problems. It is the first step to solving them". Yes, hospital facilities in a heavily populated area get inundated. New facilities will come, no doubt. We need to solve the problems NOW! My husband worked his whole life, as did I, for the health coverage we have. Hoping to get the tests for my heart condition, I endured extraordinary wait time in overcrowded conditions of the ER. (note reviews of Cedar Crest by others). Aisle to my RM.(6th fl.) cluttered w/computers and supply carts. Maryann Fye, Nurse Mgr. was informed. Ultrasound on the third day indicated heart failure, and needed change in meds. Discharge instructions on fourth day. Please let me know something is being done for the sake of all who look up to LVHN. ++ Trustees
