Their service person was courteous and very competent in performing what to me is a very complex service panel and troubleshooting service call. His charges were extremely reasonable for the tasks he performed.Additionally, shortly after his initial service call, I experienced an unrelated electrical issue caused inadvertently by a different craft repair person.I called Burke again . Their serviceman arrived the next morning, and immediately restored the electrical service to a room that I had spent many trying hours trying to fix myself. When asked what I owed, he said that it was so easy to fix that he didn't charge me and left for what was a great, but profitable day. For the duration of the time I remain in Jackson County and its environs,I will rely on Burke for all of my electrical needs. As a homeowner in Carbondale, I've called on this company twice this month, once for a furnace…read moreproblem and once for plumbing. The service was excellent both times. It's my go-to company from here out. The people who answered the phone were quick and friendly. When one of them needed to make a call to check on scheduling and said she'd call me right back, which always makes my heart sink, she actually did! They got someone to my house on the urgent furnace thing the day I called, and the non-emergency plumbing problem first thing the next morning, with no fuss or difficulty. Both technicians knew their stuff, were quick with the work and efficient with the billing, helpful in explaining things and friendly about my questions. I found the pricing very reasonable. The plumbing problem took two tries, and they didn't bill me for the second visit, only for the parts, which I thought very professional. I was so impressed that I signed up for their annual maintenance agreement, which includes biannual checks on the furnace and AC and a lower visit fee. You can tell there's high morale in the company, which is rare these days and of course makes a huge difference in how well a company works and gains customers. Apparently it was bought recently by a young couple who have high aspirations for building it into a larger business. From my short experience, they're making a great start. I just hope it can grow without losing this enthusiasm!
