It all started by contacting them to get a simple quote their were on time and their price was very competitive. The most impressive part was that Kevin was very patient and extremely knowledgeable about the work that he was quoting and explained step-by-step exactly what he will be doing. After receiving several bids, I went ahead and asked for a quick start and they jumped on the working mediately and finished up in one day! I even had to step out and told Kevin I would be right back and had another contractor show up and Kevin was nice enough to let the contractor know what I needed done since I was not present, this is called going above and beyond! Do not waste your time shopping around, trying to cut corners, go with a credible company that knows what they're doing, experienced and the price was respectful. I am happy! I love the Inverter Power System opposed to the Generator which means I can, say, use my Coffee Maker with the Unit running, the Truck running, or nothing running without unplugging/replugging or changing a thing! I have a nice Truck. The HP2000 is self contained unit, so no condenser drilled into the back of my Cab. It's cooled with Truck coolant system which keeps the truck engine warm in winter. During this consultation, I specifically asked whether my existing gas meter would need to be upgraded to support this size generator, and I was told that it would not be an issue. Concerned about the cost and urgency, I sought a second opinion from a licensed local electrical contractor. After reviewing my home ( including my panel, meter, and installation location), they determined that an 18 kw generator would fully meet my needs. They also indicated that a 22 kw generator or 26 kw would likely require a gas meter or gas line upgrade, which was not disclosed to me in the original consultation. The second company provided a complete quote of $10,500 including, installation, permits, a transfer switch, surge protection, and a cold weather kit - significantly less than the original quote for a larger, potentially incompatible system. I am concerned that I was given misleading information regarding system sizing and gas requirements, and that I was pressured to make a same day decision on a very large purchase without proper verification of critical infrastructure. Salesman knew exactly what he was doing. He was just trying to close a deal in a high pressure situation. He didn't care about anything else. Do not buy and have a generator installed through Lowes. Period.
