Their quote was reasonable and I also appreciated the very detailed proposal I received from Sado at the company. In fact, it was probably the most detailed and the most confidence-inspiring of the ones I received. They had the fence installed in a little more than a day. There were a few minor mistakes to correct afterwards but they handled quickly and with no complaint. They even removed some bricks the previous home owner had put under the old chain link fence even though it wasn't part of the work order. I would recommend them.

I couldn't recommend Glass Blocks of St. Louis more highly. They were fantastic!…read more We had seven very old, single pane windows in our basement and had them replaced with glass blocks for much better security and insulation. We had considered doing the job ourselves, did a bunch of research on it and in the end decided on just comparing it to having a professional do it. Thankfully we did. Four of the seven windows had rot in the frame (very old house) and we would have been in over our heads making the repairs. The finished product was beautiful and done very well. This was definitely one of those few times I'm glad we didn't try and do the job ourselves and just paid to have the job done right. Additionally, it was fast, just a couple of days due to the frame repair setback instead of the one window per weekend we thought it would take us if we did it ourselves. So yeah, they did a great job. They were clean, nice, friendly and thoroughly professional. I would totally recommend them to a friend.

However, we suffered throughout the entire job…read more Mike does not honor his appointments so we spent hours and hours waiting for him to show up. There were three days where we waited for him all day only to find out that he wasn't coming at all. A four-day job ended up taking seven days. This was a huge lack of respect for me and my time. He also sanded drywall over three days without remediation--no tarps or barriers. When he was gone, I had to hire a professional cleaner to fix his mess. Mike and his crew do good work if you are willing to put up with his lousy time management skills and his lack of remediation.

He found more damage underneath the threshold of one doorway -- probably shoddy original construction-- so applied his carpentry experience to repair/ replace the parts even though it was not part of the original plans. I called to get information on building a new staircase for my old St. Louis house. The woman from…read moreSt. Louis Stair & Wood Works gave me SO MUCH information on the pros and mostly cons on why this (likely) may be a difficult process for me. She explained the different parts of a staircase and how the rise and run and addition of winders to my stair will affect the entire workings and may not be feasible in my space constraints. She even referred me to another company that could do it, but mostly she said she wanted me to have information so when I spoke with other contractors about it, I would have a basic idea of what was going on. Fabulous service!
