I'm not a graphic designer, so I was specifically looking for that human touch and guidance you would expect from working with a local print shop rather than simply ordering online. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I couldn't really be helped. I was told they don't print individual samples, so to see a card in a particular style I would need to order 100 cards for $100+. If I wanted raised printing or foil, I would also need to provide the files separately, and the only foil options available were silver or gold. There was only one person in the office when I came in, and I got the impression that they primarily handle the printing rather than helping with the actual design or setup. I was repeatedly encouraged to just place the order online, which was disappointing because the entire reason I came in person was to work with someone who could help me make sure everything looked right before spending $100+ on cards. I'm honestly pretty desperate to get this task off my plate, so this would have been a very easy sale. I was ready to move forward and pay for the service, but if I don't feel confident or comfortable with the process, it's hard to justify placing the order. It's unfortunate because so many things have gone completely digital now, and sometimes you just want to walk into a local business, talk to a person, and get a little hands-on help.

He's extremely tall, so finding good-quality and unique pieces of clothing that fit him properly is always a very difficult task. I like to buy or find him specialty-type clothes because Amazon only has so much to offer, and I feel bad for his struggle, lol. Anyways, I called LBG and asked if I could pay to have a detailed image/poster of Dr. Strange printed on a 3x article of clothing if I brought them in, and I only had one day before my boyfriend's birthday so I was in a time crunch. I worked a plan out on the phone with Long Beach Graphix, the staff member I spoke to that night was super helpful, and I had all my questions answered within minutes and felt confident I would get the gift in time. The following day I came in at 1 pm and brought my own poster image of Dr. Strange (Marvel Universe) on a USB flash drive and the 3x sweatshirt. I was not expecting much because the quality of screenprints I've received elsewhere has been subpar. However, this was not to be the case at Long beach Graphix! By 4 pm I had a beautiful, one-of-a-kind sweatshirt for my 6'9" boyfriend. It looks and feels fantastic! I was beyond impressed with the quality of printing, I believe we did a Digital Graphic Print, and my boyfriend LOVED the personalized gift. I will say, it's a delicate image but looks incredible so we know to hand wash or delicate cycle it, and hang dry. It should last a long time with proper care. Quick turn-around time on job The Long: Came in with a Bridal Client. we had found some invitation she really liked online, but the only colors offered were truly terrible. We created our own version of the invites but in the colors of her wedding, and then set off to have them printed. I first went alone to a kinkos to get a demo test done. After nearly throwing a temper tantrum in the store because of the terrible service and their unwillingness to make four (literally FOUR) copies (because they were too busy- but not too busy to explain why they were too busy for twenty minutes...seriously?), I asked Kelly Paper for a referral to a quality printing company. They sent me to Allen. My bridal client and I went in, nervous, because the colors being printed weren't the same as they had been on the monitor. These guys were SOOOO nice and pulled out something that looked like a paintchip sampler youd pick up at a hardware store and literally went through the colors until the matched the swatches from the bridesmaids dresses. They proceeded to print out all the invites (and then cut them). The invites looked great and their service was impeccable. Better than all of that- they saved my client a grip of money! My plan- never EVER go into a kinkos again! PS: They also told me they could make my business cards for less than half of what I have been paying. Nice.
