    Even in a city like Copenhagen, it's hard to get really good food after say 9.30. Most of the finer dining closes up and with my plane being delayed, I missed out on my resys over at Mielcke & Hurtigkarl. So I looked around not wanting to eat in the hotel. Everyone in the resto industry here seems to love Le Sommelier. Unfortunately I missed that train too. Luckily, I remembered that they also own MASH and it was close to the Metro station. Score. Walking in at 10pm it was still hopping. Seems that this is a see and be seen place here. All the female servers are fairly attractive. It's very dimly lit and it has a lounge vibe. The bar room and the dining room have different feels but over all it's a night life kind of place. I sat in the bar by the kitchen getting a glimpse at both worlds and also getting to peek into the kitchen itself. Doing the opposite of what most locals would do I got specifically the Danish aged beef, and the sweatbreads. Also got the rhubard cocktail for good measure as it would be my last night in CPH for a while. Beef is very lean, though the aging isnt as funky as I would have expected. Still good taste with the sauce. Could have used slightly more salt. The sweatbread appetizer was awesome. Maybe one of the better versions Ive had in a while. Cocktails were good, not mind blowing and at the end I got a good scope of rhubarb ice cream to finish it off. My server was super nice and we talked about how she grew up in Jutland near Germany and how she ended up in hospitality. The back of the house were cranking out plates and all my food came in a good timely manner. Definitely now on the list of good late night eats. Will want to try the groups other places (Umami, Le Sommelier, etc) too when Im in town next. 4.25 stars

    Very elegant and classic Copenhagen restaurant. Good variety of steaks and wines. The menu and the staff are on up to the level of a high-class restaurant. I got their special which was a Danish bone-in ribeye and a Caesar salad. The salad was very good, they added some crisp parmesan which made it a bit different and the dressing was adequate. The steak was good in taste, but a bit low in salt. The steak was also a bit overcooked from what I'd asked (medium-rare), which made it less juicy.

    I love Mash. Its my favorite place to go for dinner. I have been to different Mash locations around Copenhagen, and I am never disappointed, nor was I disappointed while going to the one on Bredgade. If it was up to me, I would eat all my meals at Mash. The one in Bredgade is bigger than the Mash Penthouse, but the service is just as amazing. I would recommend anyone going, specially bigger groups, to book a table before hand. The food is always amazing, the drinks are perfectly made and there is always someone there to make sure that everything is just perfect. If you love steak GO TO MASH, either one of them ! The only difference between the locations is the different vibes. All good, but Bredgade is maybe not as much a place to take your kids as much as the one in Ringsted is (Ringsted has outdoor seating by the water, and a lot of people take their kids)

    Comfort food served in dark rooms with tall ceiling and red furniture. Very romantic. Either sit at a booth, at a small table text to the bar or have a look at the street. The Danish dry aged ribeye definitely has more taste than the uruguay steak, but both are very tender. We tried bearnaise sauce and peber sauce. Both very good. Onion rings has too much dough around them - not recommendable. Small salad has a tasty dressing. We tried the key lime pie which had too much creme on top and a too thick crust, otherwise pleasant perfect taste of lime. We didn't try the wine, but have heard good things about the wine selection. The redwine sauce should also be good, for people liking the strong taste. On the pricey side also the water, but you can choose tapwater. Quick serving. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend.

    Went to MASH on a Friday night, we didn't have any reservations, but we were able to get a table in the front area, which is designated for walk-ins. Nice overall atmosphere, the front area is less formal then the main dining room, so it was perfect for us (last minute dinner). Started off with some cocktails, the Moscow Mule and the Royal Southside, both were great. But I really loved the Moscow Mule. For food, we ordered the MASH Burger and the Tenderloin, both were delicious and cooked perfectly (medium). Copenhagen has some great burger places, but this was easily one of the best if not the best burger I've had here. It was so fresh, perfect amount of juiciness, and I loved the spicy salsa type sauce it came with. The sides, chill fries and MASH cream potatoes - wow on both!!! And the béarnaise sauce was also delicious. I must say this place exceeded my expectations. It was perfect that we were two because we got to have steak and a burger, it would have been hard to choose (especially now knowing how great they both are). I look forward to eating here again - service, food and nice atmosphere can't go wrong!

    Mash-the best and the most expensive steak restaurant in Copenhagen. Steak with red wine, following big portion of profiteroles were to die for! It's an expensive place, but is really worth a visit. Restaurant looks trendy,nice design and layout, could be also perfect for romantic date, there is also a separate bar if you just want to have a drink .. Very friendly staff,enjoyed my meal and would highly recommend!

    Mash is a place for carnivores. It has a wide range of meat selection from various countries around the world, including the venerable Kobe. I was told that this is an expensive place, but the price is comparable to a good steak house in US, alas Peter Luger. Like all steak house, the sides are extra. My Danish dry age rib eye was decent and the onion rings were very large, highly recommended. Good wine selection, even for for a glass instead of the bottle. Service is prompt and efficient.

    Bartender is great. Food?? Not eating here. The selection of whiskey and bourbon is the best I have seen in Europe. Nice atmosphere. In a posh art district. Very nice.

    Great restaurant. Highly recommend the Catena Malbec 2012 on their list of reds both by glass or bottle. One of the best pairing with steak that I've enjoyed. Danish bone in was 600g and good for 2 people to share with sides. It was cooked perfectly to medium rare but might be a touch too dry. Sauce and sides were great! Worth the visit and the price afterall.

    They advertise a discount but don't honor and the staff then get aggressive when i mention that their marketing is against the law

    We were 3 guys and that's our average rating. It's a bit expensive but nice steaks and wine for 350 per person.

    Food was very good and my waitress was polite. I ordered the beef carpaccio, Small beef medallion and Mac and cheese. Everything was great.

I'm not about to tell you that Retour Steak serves up the best beef dishes in the world because in my opinion, they don't. One would have travel to Japan for the best steak (Sorry Nebraska). But I will tell you this, FOR THE PRICE nothing comes close to this place. We made it a point to check this place out and after a previous attempt the night before decided to come by earlier. We arrived around 5:45 and already the dining room was crazy busy. The hostess did however find one available table, but that they would need the table later for an 8:00 reservation. If you're taking notes. Make a reservation! Since we had well over two hours, we knew we could take our time and have a cocktail to start. Handwritten on the special drinks for the evening "sidecar". Hello?! Music to my ears. My friend and I each ordered up a sidecar and a charcuterie platter to start. The sidecars were perfect, and even though I usually have mine made with whisky I went with the flow and let them make mine with cognac. It was delicious. The charcuterie was a small serving but perfect to share. Each of the meats were amazing. I wish I knew what the darker meat was, because that one was truly out of this world kick ass delicious. Steak time! And there are plenty of choices. But really this would be a no brainer as I am a fan of this little thing called the French fry. And the ribeye comes with those crispy potato things. Ribeye "medium rare" please. I'll get right to the point. The steak was cooked to perfection. It came topped with a little rosemary and roasted garlic. The garlic was the winner and enhanced the steak even more. I even saved a few to eat along with my fries. By the way, these fries were about as good as I have had in a long ASS time. Almost as good as I had in Belgium (which by the way is the Hall of Fame of fries). I did save room for dessert and again, this was an easy choice. The profiteroles were shouting out my name. Again, they scored a perfect 10. We each had a glass of dessert wine, a moscato and a tawny port which both were amazing. I can't stress how much I loved this place. And again, the fact that this place is reasonably priced makes it that much better. It's not cheap mind you, but for a steakhouse it's about as inexpensive you will find. The service was impeccable and constantly had servers checking in on us. They were also very helpful when it came to our wine selections. Just FYI, if you are standing on Østergade street and can't find the place, it's actually located on Ny Østergade 21 which is a side street off the main street (running perpendicular).

Floras impressed me. The first bright spot was our server Camilla. She immediately made us feel at ease with our English and walked us through the menu. She suggested some wines that would compliment the steaks and discussed how to pick the meat temperature based on our desired doneness. The second bright spot was the delivery. The meat was cooked exactly as I had requested. In Argentina they call it Juegoso and that is what I received. You can order different sauces to come with the meat, bernaise, pepper sauce, and something else. The meat really require a sauce but the bernaise went great with my papas frites. The French fries came out piping hot. We had a great time sitting out and watching the people, enjoying a nice steak, and enjoying the service. One might ask why anyone would order a steak in Copenhagen and I don't disagree. There was just something about having just arrived and wanting something familiar and a smiling face to help you through it.
