It's not often that you find bad food and horrible service in Copenhagen, but this place has accomplished both. The location is great--right on the canal in Christianshavn. The interior is cozy, and on a warm evening the outdoor seating is fantastic. Unfortunately, that is where the good stuff stops. I made a reservation for four the day before we were going to eat there, but the next day I had to add one to make the reservation for five. The guy on the phone was pretty put out and said they were totally booked, but said he would do his best to accommodate us. On arrival, the interior of the restaurant was almost empty and the outside seating was about 80% full. The people I was supposed to meet for dinner were a little late, and this made the waiter even grumpier than he had been when I arrived. He told me that the restaurant was totally booked, and he couldn't continue to hold the table since my friends were late. Just about that time my friends showed up, and begrudgingly, the waiter sat us at a table outside. He continued to grumble about how busy they were. We then waited 20 minutes for someone to come and take a drink order. This seemed to be some sort of punishment for inconveniencing the waiter. After drinks were ordered, we settled into empanada appetizers, which were actually pretty good. Then came the main dishes. The fish of the day was salmon, which was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. We also ordered the lamb, which was overcooked and not very appetizing either. By the end of dinner, it was 10:00 and most of the outside seating was empty, and the inside seating was totally empty. I guess they must have had a lot of no shows that evening, which is a good thing because anyone who did show up would have been sorely disappointed in the service and the food. We won't be visiting this place again. read more
