I've been to many Home Depot stores and I've learned that not all offer the same level of customer…read moreservice. After two visits to this store I concluded that this one is well below average in this area. No major problems, but the little irritations added up. Where to start? As a first time visitor to this store I had trouble finding the entrance (see pictures below). The EXIT was very well marked and when I parked there and tried to enter, I was told that I needed to walk a couple hundred feet to the left to enter. So I moved my vehicle to the other end of the building, then walked a bit to the right to get a cart. On my third try I found a cart the didn't pull to one side and had 4 wheels that rolled freely. Both times that I went to order paint, no was staffing that area. Both times I searched nearby aisles for help and when I didn't find help, I went to the front of the store to have an announcement made that 'help was needed in the paint department.' When help finally arrived the worker was friendly and helpful. I think the problem here was that the paint department was understaffed. As I shopped for other items on my list, a Home Depot Services staff person approached me 6 times, during my 2 visits, to try to sell me a service. It wasn't until the 6th time that this person stopped (after I said this was the 6th time you've tried to sell me Home Depot services and I am still NOT INTERESTED. So, nothing awful, just a bunch of small irritations that made me think management didn't care enough about customer satisfaction. To be fair, some staff members were very helpful.

I am a senior so I appreciated her help. I believe her name was Gisella. She loaded up my car and totally refused a tip. She just said "we help each other". What a delightful shopping experience!

They told me I had 90 days to return it. The Generator FAILED after 1 month, the inverter doesn't work and you get an error saying "overload", even with nothing plugged to it. After doing some research I see this is a common problem with Predator Generators, so I took it to the store to return it. They told me they sell these Generators with ZERO manufacturer warranty, and if you declined their extended protection, you are DONE. You have to pay a restocking fee of 20% because you were so dumb to buy from these SCAMMERS. So you pay them 20% of $1,200 for a faulty generator. I will NEVER set foot on this garbage store again, and none of my family will. When this store closed because of their TERRIBLE customer service, thank local Managers like Mike, who only scam people.

" Next, a gentleman who described himself as "Old Jim" came along, saw my need, grabbed a likely suspect from the shelf and scanned the tag with his reader tool. A ha! He hurried into the back with 4 wheels ... exactly what I needed. He gave me his cart too. You shop Harbor Freight for price but I can add that I will now shop here for darn amazing customer service. Good old American first class customer service.

Living at Rutgers Village was a disappointing experience. After four years, the complex went from…read morehaving a community vibe to being purely profit-driven and corporate. Laundry costs were raised, and the machines were replaced with smaller units. Rent increased by 8% annually, they closed and filled in the pool, and there are no amenities. The apartments are old garden-style units with outdated and problematic plumbing--our tub was repeatedly filled with sewage due to issues from other units. Management imposed unreasonable policies, like mandating $300K liability renter's insurance (despite the lease not requiring it under threat of you guessed it - fines) and fining residents for lockouts or clogged drains. Noise issues were another nightmare: we had a college student upstairs who partied until 4 AM multiple times a month. It took nearly nine months of complaints before management did anything, and only after we threatened to involve the police. When we moved out, we were hit with a baseless $200 cleaning fee despite leaving the apartment in good condition. If you consider living here, document everything thoroughly because they'll find every opportunity to drain your wallet. Avoid if possible!

I have never encountered such unprofessional and unethical behavior from a property management team…read morein my life. The current management at this complex is not only unresponsive to residents' concerns but has repeatedly demonstrated behavior that is invasive, dishonest, and frankly, discriminatory. One resident's apartment was entered multiple times without permission -- a gross violation of privacy and legal boundaries. Another resident was charged an excessive, unjustified amount during lease renewal, and when questioned, management gave no explanation and simply kept the money. Even more disturbing are the repeated racist remarks and behaviors exhibited by the staff. They do not engage in respectful dialogue. When approached to discuss an issue, they speak and act as if residents are beneath them, dismissing concerns with condescension and aggression. None of the ongoing problems in the building -- from maintenance issues to safety concerns -- are handled in a solution-focused way. Requests are ignored, emails go unanswered, and any attempt at communication is met with hostility. This is not just about bad management -- this is about basic respect, dignity, and legal responsibility, none of which are being upheld here. If you're considering moving here, I urge you to reconsider. No one should have to pay rent to be mistreated in their own home.
