However, it is a pretty common, old fashioned, kind of lumberyard. I see that there were many complaints regarding issues with the wood, cupping warping, color changes when items are substituted or replaced. One thing to understand, wood is a natural product and behaves in an unpredictable ways after being Milled and finished. While the customer wants their job to be perfect, it is often a tall order given the natural or unnatural characteristics of wood. There is no real cookie cutter technique when creating a custom wood project using unique and custom milled woods. Which is probably why you do not see a business like this in every town or county. I have never had them build anything for me or had them mill any of my lumber. So to critique this aspect of the business would be inappropriate. I will say that you will be hard pressed to find a yard with the diverse species available here. I will continue to use them for my wood needs. Prices are decent and the material is great, from what I have experienced.

I must've called and visited 30 times, and today in the market for several new appliances decided to give them one last try. I spent an hour on hold with the store and another half hour on the phone with Lowes corporate customer service. It doesn't look like I'm getting anywhere with this. I've done all I can do. The people at Lowe's do not care one iota about their customers. I'm going back to family run businesses for everything I can, and if I need a big box store it'll have to be anyone but Lowe's.

They seem to focus their business on commercial painters, who probably make the bulk of their business. Also, they do try to upsell you. But the hardware part next door was a different experience. The lady behind the counter was REALLY nice. Cheerful and helpful. Traditional old America! They sell water softener salt for $8.59/bag. It's even cheaper than Lowe's, which sells it for $9.38! Ended up getting 5 of them. Remember to get the Diamond Crystal brand. Morton's sold in the NJ area are terrible for water softeners. They leave a slimy brown residue.
