The only item I liked was the cooked vegetable medley. This includes the 3 chicken options, the saag paneer, and the chickpea and soup options. Everything but the medley was either just plain or only salty, without much exciting and bold Indian flavor. It was just...okay. It was all cooked well, it just didn't scratch that Indian food itch. I'm usually pretty forgiving with my reviews, but with so few options, I couldn't just have it fully redeemed by the one option I liked. Even the rice was just plain basmati rice that seemed wetter than usual for what I expect from an Indian buffet. They did have gulab jamun and rice pudding. So that was nice.

About the only complaint I have so far is that there were no paper towels in the bathroom. I got the dal makhni special with two roti, and it arrived in under 10 minutes. It had a really nice spiced flavor and was perfectly hot (temperature- and spice-wise; it's worth noting that I seem to have a notably higher spice tolerance that others, since one of my friends also got this and found it too spicy. Offering a dinner entrée for lunch was a bit much both in terms of food and cost. $30 plus for lunch is a bit picky for this area. It's something I would do once in a blue moon but I won't be a regular. A smaller reasonably priced lunch menu would go a long way to bringing people in a little more often. Like other people mentioned, the place itself is very clean and airy which is inviting. Also, as others mentioned, they give you a mini plastic bottle of water with your meal. I'd love to know the thinking behind that. It's takes away from the class of the meal. In underdeveloped countries getting bottled water is a sign that it's drinkable. Not sure the purpose here, but it feels wasteful. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Chicken and Malai Kofta along with garlic naan. We got medium heat and were happy. Kadai Chicken was new to us and we loved it. Spectacular. Delicate and intricate flavors. We always order Malai Kofta if it's on the menu. Never disappoints. Chicken Tikka Masala was very good. We were just more enamored with the Kadai. All the dishes worked very well together. The malai kofta wasn't even hot, but we loved it anyway. I really should have sent it back, but as I mentioned, we were in town for a happy event so we just rolled with it! When I walk into a nice place, I often notice the floor, maybe marble, maybe terrazzo, or just really wet and shiny tile. Well, it makes me feel good knowing that the floor is clean. I know that everything else inside of the establishment is also going to be clean. That's how I felt when I was at this Indian restaurant. Now, I was on my way to go do a strip-and-wax job to make someone's floors look wet and glossy. I decided to stop and get some lunch along the way, and this is where I ended up: Royal Kitchen. I don't eat a lot of meat in my life anymore. That's the reason why I have so much energy, but this diet is not for everyone because everyone is different. However, let's stop talking about me. Let's talk about how delicious this food was. It did take a little while for it to come out, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy on the outside and also crisp the garlic naan was. The prices were very reasonable, and I believe at this place, I got a coconut cashew dish, and I must say it was very delicious. Now, normally when I eat Nepali and/or Indian food, it is spicy. I got the medium spice. That way, I was able to enjoy the flavor notes, and, well, I didn't regret it. This establishment is great. It is right off the highway and has plenty of seating. They also have a bar area, which is amazing. And if you want to have a banquet hall for a party of 10 or more, this is definitely the spot. The menu has all the ingredients listed and what is inside the food, which makes it very easy to choose what you want to eat. The bathrooms are also very clean. When you walk in, there is some incense in the beginning, and it is not overwhelming. It is pleasant and relaxing. It feels like you were transported into what I would believe is another part of the world.
