Stopped in and got a large cheese pizza. The "large is the size of a small anywhere else, and after 4 generations of pizza, you would think they don't use frozen pie dough and canned sauce. You can go to Cumby's or really any gas station and get better pizza then here. I will definitely never be returning, this place needs to close down and call it day. Service was great, prices were excellent and the pizza was really great. A really excellent sweet sauce pizza with real Mozzarella Cheese. It has that old family run pizza vibe. Still on the hunt for decent pizza in the White Mountains. Without consulting Cousin Ernie I ventured over Pinkham Notch to Gorham Was hoping for a slice but they don't offer by the slice. So ordered a small, 10 inch, pepperoni pizza. This a a very small restaurant, seating maybe 20 to 25 people. All booths, very clean, Very friendly people. Sauce and cheese very good, I prefer thin crust, this was medium, a bit chewy. Bathroom clean and very small. Overall rating good! But not the answer to my search for good pizza. Mary's turned out to be a pleasant Surprise during our visit in New Hampshire. The pizza's here were delicious and they gave very large portions. I won't go as far as saying this is the best pizza I've ever had, but it's certainly the best pizza I've had in New Hampshire thus far. It's very cozy inside, it almost reminds me of the pizza places here in Rhode Island as they have similar atmospheres and cuisine. Mary's was so good that we stopped by the day we left back for Rhode Island just for some food to have in the car on the ride back. If we're ever back in the area we will be returning! read more

We only found Mary's Pizza with the assistance of Yelp, although it's only right off the main road - And what an adorable find it was - a quintessential family restaurant, which even detailed their family history on the back of the menu (from the start of the restaurant right down to a grandson's promotion at Verizon Wireless. [Note to family: some of the death details might want to be left off in the next iteration]). According to the reviews highlighted on the walls, the family has made some award winning pizzas over the decades. And the pizza was pretty darn delicious. Maybe not the most amazing pizza I've ever had, but certainly worth a visit if you are in need of pizza. (Which, for me, is often). Only one complaint: over- air conditioning. Local restaurant run by a family for about 50 years and has been consistently great! I remember going here with my Gram when I was way little, begging for change for their jukebox and busting out the Paula Abdul followed by some 'November Rain.' While there are only about 8 tables and usually one server, the place can be packed during lunch/dinner hours. I've always been happy with the basic cheese pizza (with extra sauce) and I know others who swear on their lasagna/spaghetti but the pizza is what they're known for. Family members in Maine used to use Mary's as an excuse to visit and they'd leave town again with a couple extra pies to bring home. When I end up back in the area, visiting family, a trip to Mary's is always in the plan. Hidden just off the BG road, you can ask any local how to find it and it'll be worth the detour. read more

Not Good! Ordered pizza...terrible crust and bland sauce. The sauce tasted and looked like it had been frozen a while, very watery.

Have gone through three generations and the pizza has never changed, it's still the best anywhere. No need to ask for extra cheese or extra sauce at this restaurant. read more

Fresh pie seemed a little chalky and chewy and undercooked. One of the better pizzas I've had around here though. They had beautitul young ladies among the staff and the locals seem to love the place...
