It's OK Service was a tad slow, albeit friendly. Not sure why this was the case. Food was all in all OK. The mac and cheese bites appy tasted like deep fried KD. That's about my only negative comment about the food. Casual ambience, with outdoor patio seating. Live music available on certain days and it's a bit loud in a smaller space. Thank goodness I was outside.

My boys took me out to a great spot to eat while I was visiting them in Victoria, BC. The building resembles a small cottage and it is located just east of the airport on Canora Rd in Sidney, BC. We got a table at the back of the restaurant right away. There was one cheery waitress taking care of all the tables. She was so friendly and happy and very quick to serve us. We put in our drink orders and looked at the menu. The boys all decided to try the fish and chip special and I ordered the Reuben on rye. The portions were nice and big. The fish and chips came with a side of tasty coleslaw, a lemon wedge and some tartar sauce. The Reuben came on a dark rye and was filled with Montreal smoked meat, sauerkraut and cheese. It was delicious! The walls of the restaurant are filled with newspaper stories, photos of wartime pilots and their crew. Back in the day when this place opened it was within walking distance from the Air Force base around Pat Bay. There is a daily special throughout the week. There is live entertainment Saturday nights. Can't wait to go back on my next visit.

Our group had a little bit of everything and all was good. I definitely recommend here for breakfast! It is a small place but they are very efficient. Probably the best thing I had were the potatoes. I do love how they smash and fry them so there are crispy bits. The bacon was really good too! The only real negative is everything needed salt and I am not usually a salt person but dang! Try it if you are in the area and able to wait.

We ordered Deluxe Beef Burger ($18.50), Clubhouse Sandwich ($16), Chicken Strips ($15.50) and a can of Coke ($3). All the food had a heart portion. They were freshly made and fries were perfectly done. We had our food with fries which also can be substituted for salad or soup. Everything was delicious. Portion was bigger than I thought it would be. Chicken strips were crispy and tender. Deluxe Burger was amazing it was loaded with different toppings including mushrooms. Clubhouse was pretty good as well. There were so much fries. We could eat fries endlessly while tummies feeling full. This restaurant really IS a hidden gem in Sidney. I'll remember to stop by again on my future visits to Victoria.
