We ended up picking a basket of our own strawberries. The lady who rang us up in the market and explained the process was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who drove the tractor to and from the field did a great job explaining the picking process and which strawberries to pick or not to pick. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to take the tractor to and from. Afterwards we visited the petting zoo and fed the animals two bags of food which we purchased from the market. They were sooo cute! The one goat was so funny and his name should be "Shadow" since he followed us around the whole time! He can be seen in our pic feeding the duck. He was so funny! The animals were all friendly and super cute to hang out with for a bit. Feeding the goats up on the structure via conveyorbelt was so fun and entertaining! I highly recommend visiting and plan to be back in a couple months to pick peaches and nectarines!

This place was quite large. There's a dedicated parking area on rocks. There's a porta potty at the parking area. You follow the signs to the office or gift shop and you state your name that registered online and you get a container of food and you can roam the cages. Each caged area is for specific sets of alpacas and you can get to the outside through each gated area. The alpacas are friendly - some a super needy - and some just want to rest. It really depends on the time frame for each one. You can touch and feed. Some really get in your face. I was trying to kneel down to take photos and the alpacas start walking towards me. The staff is constantly taking care of them and cleaning after their... Open bathroom use. There's games and seating everywhere. It is well organized here and well maintained. The people here are nice and I got what I wanted from visiting here. Seeing tons of alpacas. There are not just 10 alpacas, there's probably around 35-60 and they are all spread out, some inside and some outside grazing and eating grass. Very humane conditions for the alpacas. You can see a horse outside too and a Shepard dog as well.

They host several festivals throughout the year, and I had the pleasure of attending the Caribbean festival yesterday. Even with the rain and cooler weather, it was STILL a great time. The energy never dropped. Everything was very well organized from parking, to the wine samples, vendors, dance floor, and stage setup. You could tell a lot of planning went into making the experience smooth and enjoyable for guests. The music, food, and overall atmosphere made it easy to forget about the weather completely. This was my second time here, and it definitely will not be my last. I'll 100% be returning.

They had a tribute to 50 years of "go-go" instead of the aforementioned reggae fest. With that said, Rare Essence performed Saturday and the Junk Yard Band did their thing Sunday. Me and my crew grew up on Essence so Saturday we converged. The forecast for severe afternoon t-storms almost made me stay home, but I've been given a lot of flack from my homies for bailing because of weather so I was determined to push through :) I'm glad that I did. It rained STRONG for about an hour in the middle of the festival, but after that, the headliner performed and cranked like it was 1990! Talk about nostalgia.. Omg!! We had a ball! Full disclosure, it was about half the normal size crowd, so I'm not sure Linganore will take that type of money loss in the future, but thanks for the memories.. I definitely needed that!!!

I've passed this winery a few times in route to Linganore festivals, so when my cousin secured a Groupon for wine tasting, I gladly accepted the invite. We spent our Friday evening sipping away and listening to a live band. It's so quaint and pet friendly! They have a few friendly pups just waiting to meet you. Tonight was unseasonably cool for August but after the heat wave we've had it was a welcomed treat. There is plenty of seating, in open areas or under a large tent. Bring your own food! Otherwise they have some small bites (charcuterie, cheese, crackers, pizza) for purchase. The wine we tried was delicious and the sunset over the grape vines was stunning. We've had multiple events at this fire department's reception hall and never have we been…read moredisappointed. My most favorite event though was my wedding. We actually had another fire department's social hall booked for our wedding but because someone was disorganized and got into criminal activity they double booked us and threw a major wrench in my wedding plans considering we had planned everything around the reception area. So, I got ahold with the coordinator for New Windsor Fire Department's rental and she told me that they could help us out because they had the date we needed open and was the closest to all of the rest of our wedding festivities so it worked perfectly. Tammy & her husband Brett are the rental coordinators and they are sweet people who will do what they can do make your event fit the days you need! The rental fee was extremely fair considering they pay someone to come clean the hall before events. The left over money from the rental fee goes towards the fire department so not only can you have a great event but you're also giving back to the community as well! As far as tables go they have rectangular that they use as events such as bingo's, etc and they also have round tables that we were able to fit 8 around comfortably. They even have a sweet heart table and a arch you're able to rent. We had up 20 tables with 8 at each not including our head table where we had 12 of us all together. This is a handicap friendly facility which was another selling point as we had some guests who need handicap arrangements. To cover their bingo boards they have curtains but also have a lattice work wall that you can decorate using whatever kind of material that will fit your party theme. So for example, we had a rustic country wedding and we took fall leaves since our wedding was in November and draped it with burlap and draped it along the lattice work. I'll also post pictures. The bathrooms were extremely clean and had handicap stalls. They have a full working kitchen and if you were to have a wedding the ladies auxiliary is an option to use for your caterer if you'd like and we chose them to have a southern home cooked buffet style meal and everyone is still talking about our food almost 2 years later! Those women in the New Windsor Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary can cook and they also will do an uncorking, cake cutting and food serving for a fee. Also, there is a tap room that can be used for an extra charge and they want someone to be manning it so I'd look into that too! We even had them light our candles that were in our mason jars! Another sweet treat the ladies did for us was when we went to leave, they made a box of food for my husband and I to take to our hotel room for the night considering we were going to be flying to the Caribbean the next morning. It was so sweet and greatly appreciate since we didn't really get to eat a whole lot at our wedding! They even sent pieces of our cake since we didn't get to really eat none of that either, haha! If you're looking for a venue say for a wedding, this would be perfect! If you're looking for somewhere that can fit at least 20 tables if not more, have room for a great dance floor, room for a buffet or food setup including your cake, a spot for the DJ and gifts and other decorations then this is your place! Like I said, I will post pictures so you can see for yourself how great and affordable of a venue this is! We will definitely continue to use this venue for future events throughout our lives and always recommended it to people we know who are looking for venues because we loved it that much!

Limited bathroom and spot a pot. Inside is small with some seating and they do flights, which you order inside and they bring it to you, rather than standing at the counter. The people who work there were super nice and friendly. They have plenty of options. I ordered the Rosé, Merlot, Cab Franc, and Syrah. I didn't really like any of it, but the Syrah was the best of the four. I thought the Merlot and Cab Franc had an unfortunate smell, but still finished the entire flight.
