Solar Energy World continues to provide the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My wife…read moreand I met with their sales agent Brian Spinazzola in August 2025, and we were promised that if we signed a contract within 48 hours the panels would be installed on our roof by the end of the year to qualify for the expiring tax credits. During the meeting Brian showed us various spreadsheets calculating the energy savings that panels would provide. I asked him to send me those spreadsheets for my own review, which he promised to do but never did. We nonetheless signed the contract, paid our deposit, and waited for installation. On December 8 I requested a scheduling update since it seemed increasingly unlikely that Solar Energy World would complete the project by the end of year, as promised. Brian did not respond. I emailed again on Dec. 8, Dec. 16, Dec. 31, and Jan. 3--while also calling several times--but Brian and the rest of the company ignored me. After I filed complaints with Better Business Bureau and Maryland Attorney General, they finally called and offered to complete the project at a discount to make up for the expired tax credit. Installation was completed this spring. On September 2, the panels stopped working. I emailed Brian, and he promised to submit a service ticket. Several weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything from the service team. I reached out to Brian on Sept. 24, Oct. 2, and Oct. 5 requesting an update, but once again I receive no response. If you buy solar panels from Solar Energy World, you will be ignored the second you hand over your deposit payment. They will not answer your questions. They will not perform the work you contracted for. They will leave you with missing or broken panels on your roof for months while you try anything and everything to get in touch with them. If you expect even a minimal amount of competence and professionalism when you sign a contract costing thousands of dollars, stay away from Solar Energy World and Brian Spinazzola.

Today was the first day of a three day roof replacement, including solar panel detachment and…read morereattachment by Panda Exteriors and I've already run into deceptive and unethical sales practices, and worse. 1) We were told by the salesman, and shown pictures, of several sheets of plywood that supposedly contained black mold. This is a very serious health situation that was not adequately conveyed to the Project Manager. There was nothing in his specs that addressed identifying the sheets with black mold and removing them since that supposedly can't be seem on the exterior of the plywood according to the PM. The salesperson identified 5+ sheets of plywood that would cost an additional $125 per sheet. 2) I was told by the installation coordinator within Panda that all of my questions would be answered by the PM BEFORE the project was started, it was not. The salespeople literally left the PM in the lurch because he was not able to answer most of my questions. 3) As of today, I've stopped the project until my questions could be answered. 4) The salesperson told us that that our 50 solar panels would be detached Day 1, the roof installed Day 2, and the panels reinstalled Day 3. Today we found out that the reattachment would not occur till the following week. This was NEVER mentioned by the salesperson or in the prior to construction "what to expect" email. 5) We were told by sales that once the panels were detached they would be "stored" till after the new roof was installed. Apparently Panda has a different understanding of the word "stored" than most people. The panels were stacked in our backyard. Again, another deceptive sales practice. Apparently stacking the panels in the yard is a standard practice but Panda made that claim to ensure a sale. 6) The sales person told us the detachment and reattachment of the panels was conducted within their company so that there was in essence only "one throat to choke" if there was a problem. That was yet another lie as the folks who did that today were an LLC. This was a specific point we had with the salesperson because there was another roof replacement company 4000K cheaper that had solar panels detached and reattached by a third party. Well that is in essence what Panda does but they claim the solar people are part of their company. 6) And finally, I was told that I would be contacted today by one of the owners, Scott Tucker, who would address all of my concerns and that never happened as of 6:00 tonight, thus the reason for my "hold" on the roof shingle rip off and new shingle installation. We are what was called a "Golden Pledge" at a cost of $44,000 with one plywood sheet included. Any other sheets would cost $125 per sheet. This is the way Panda Exteriors treat it'S highest paying roof replacement customers. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! I SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER RESEARCH ON THEM.

I gave the salesman a deposit of over $5,000 including half of the insurance settlement. Today is the 13th of August and no work has been started, no supplies have been delivered, the salesman will no longer answer my emails and the telephone for the company office appears to be disconnected (it has a funny sounding busy signal). When I was able to speak with the salesman, he always had several excuses ready, such as waiting for an answer from the insurance agent about replacing plywood, which he said did not meet current code requirements. My insurance agent replied to him 3 times that the plywood would not be covered by the claim since he did not prove it was damaged. It has been over 30 days since my last contact, when I informed the salesman that unless the job was started before the end of July, I wanted to cancel the contract and get my deposit back. I have heard nothing from the salesman or the company since that call. I receive no replies to my emails (I have sent 13 without a response since July 15th). I just received a letter from an attorney threatening me with legal action if I did not pay the balance due on the job immediately. When I informed his office that I was not paying anything since the job had not been started yet, all he said was for me to call the company. Mt assumption is that this company is a fraudulent scam and I suggest you STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM.
