If you work full time and have a family, I would definitely recommend Celestial Solar…read more Choosing Celestial Solar has been one of the best decisions that we have made so far for our new home. As a family of 4 with 2 full-time working parents and 2 babies under two, Celestial Solar's support was nothing short of amazing for us. Jim and team are a good mix of professional and knowledgeable, and have been (and still are) genuinely nice to me and my family. They understand the complex nature of adding solar panels to your home and provide accurate estimates, recommend the best tech for your situation, walk you through the entire process, and have an awesome installation team who were efficient and installed everything without any hiccups. The extra support they also provide by completing permit paper work and communication on your behalf, mixed with the professional, yet fun, installation workers that my kids really liked, made this experience great for me and my family. We are now a few months into running our system and we have been overproducing energy, while Jim and team still keep in contact to make sure that everything is running smoothly.

Gave us honest opinions on panel quality, recommendations, and laid out work expectations given their experiences working with the utilities. Installation was completed across 2 days due to the # of panels, they were very courteous, prompt, and efficient in getting the work done. We didn't have to hound Pepco or do anything additional, Jim handled it all for us. Our production for March 2026 was 1.3 MWh, electric bill was $8.94 (for cost of connecting to the grid). If you are considering solar, definitely give Celestial a call!

From the initial consult, options, and estimates to the contract and installation, Andy made sure I understood the timeline and expectations. Andy is also responsive and quick to answer questions. Regarding the company, the installation occurred ahead of schedule and the technicians were professional. Technicians called to confirm their arrival time each day and provided updates as they worked. They were careful with our home and property. The inspection was scheduled quickly and passed without issue. I am excited to start receiving massive savings on our BGE bills. I appreciate Andy and the Solar Energy World team for their efforts to make solar power a reality for our family in Baltimore.

We got panels installed in fall 2025 and got the system turned on in January. Greg answered a million questions and has continued to be our liaison and advocate. They under promised our production and have over delivered on our pepco savings. However, our roof was in rough shape but instead of letting us know that we shouldn't get panels before fixing the roof they said it would be fine and when we replace the roof in ten years they will remove and reinstall the panels for free under warranty. So after some big rains we realized we had roof leaks. Now the leaks were not coming in directly where they installed the panels, just close by. Our roof never had issues before, but with a bunch of guys climbing and hammering into it, there was bound to be issues. Without going into excruciating detail, the sales team has been great but the customer service from the company is lacking unless you get harsh with them. Having to wait 4 months to get panels reinstalled after getting a new roof, the techs not labeling the electrical so reinstall did not go smoothly, and two electrician visits because the first one didn't connect all the panels did not leave us impressed with the service. Finally all is resolved, but it's been a roller coaster. After everything my main takeaway is to make sure your roof is in really good shape before installing solar.

They were highly recommended by a friend and I found the recommendation to be so. From initial contact with Mo, the local Fairfax representative of the company, they were immediately responsive and helpful. The roof worked out great. They were timely, neat, efficient. Their cost was highly competitive. I give them high marks for workmanship, product, communication, and cleanup. Recommended.

I gave the salesman a deposit of over $5,000 including half of the insurance settlement. Today is the 13th of August and no work has been started, no supplies have been delivered, the salesman will no longer answer my emails and the telephone for the company office appears to be disconnected (it has a funny sounding busy signal). When I was able to speak with the salesman, he always had several excuses ready, such as waiting for an answer from the insurance agent about replacing plywood, which he said did not meet current code requirements. My insurance agent replied to him 3 times that the plywood would not be covered by the claim since he did not prove it was damaged. It has been over 30 days since my last contact, when I informed the salesman that unless the job was started before the end of July, I wanted to cancel the contract and get my deposit back. I have heard nothing from the salesman or the company since that call. I receive no replies to my emails (I have sent 13 without a response since July 15th). I just received a letter from an attorney threatening me with legal action if I did not pay the balance due on the job immediately. When I informed his office that I was not paying anything since the job had not been started yet, all he said was for me to call the company. Mt assumption is that this company is a fraudulent scam and I suggest you STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM.

For several years, I had considered going solar, and after thorough research, I finally decided the…read moretiming was right. That's when the real work began. I was very specific about how I wanted my 10 KW system designed--both in scope and budget. I also wanted to work with an installer who was deeply familiar with the incentives available in my area. That criterion alone narrowed down the list significantly. When I began reaching out to various companies, I quickly discovered a frustrating trend: many solar installers were locked into a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach and were unable (or unwilling) to work outside of a limited system design. My project required string inverter build, which further complicated the search. Another challenge I encountered was a general lack of knowledge among some companies' sales teams. Many couldn't confidently discuss critical elements like system components or even the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which is currently in the phase-out period--making it even more urgent for homeowners to act now. After speaking with many companies, I had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Elena Zenke, owner of Bee Happy Solar. From our first conversation, I knew she was different. She was knowledgeable, flexible, and respectful of both my timeline and payment preferences. She welcomed my involvement in the design process, listened to my needs, and collaborated with me to ensure the system met my vision. Bee Happy Solar is the only company I know of that offers both string inverter and micro inverter solutions, which speaks to their technical versatility. A few months after my installation, I upgraded my home modem and lost connection to my inverter's monitoring system. Elena personally came back to my home and assisted with a support call to the micro inverter manufacturer until the issue was resolved. That level of post-installation service truly solidified my trust in her and her company. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and meticulous in their work. One of the installers even helped me resolve a minor issue with my skylight--completely unrelated to the solar project--and did so at no charge. That act of generosity did not go unnoticed. Post-installation, Ms. Zenke continued to go above and beyond. She assisted in completing additional paperwork for incentives such as the Baltimore County Property Tax Credit and the Maryland Solar Access Grant. In summary, Bee Happy Solar exceeded my expectations at every stage--design, installation, follow-up, and incentive processing. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone considering solar, especially if you're looking for a customized approach backed by exceptional service and expertise.
