It is refreshing to have an actual barber than great/sports slips. The vibe is also that of what a proper barber shop should be. This place was Dominican proud. I enjoyed my time in the chair.

I have been booking Arthur already for a few years, and he always makes me look fresh and clean. If you are doubtful, just know that I drive up here from the city to get my haircut from him because every other place I've tried has done a horrible job with my hair. I will be coming here for the rest of my life as long as they're still here.

I love that she has been able to carry on Pauls legacy and continue to find success at Ideal.

We showed up on-time and the owner was cutting someone else's hair. He was running late but to us it was no big deal. When he was done he proceeded to tell me that my kids haircut takes too long. That he wants to use a buzzer instead of scissors. My son is a 5 year old with special needs which he knows because he has cut my sons hair before, and knows that he cant use the buzzer because he is sensitive to it and it scares him. He was extremely rude and not understanding at all. We left because my son was so upset from the conversation, and never got his haircut. If you have children I would suggest not using this Business to get your kids hair cut, as it might take too long.... He is not sensitive to children with special needs. So sad. If i could put zero stars I would.

I used a barber- better, but there were drawbacks. Then I found Little Shop of Shears, and W O W ! Have I found *my* place! Beth and her staff have all been cutting/coloring/styling for a loooong time. The shop is modest, not fancy. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly- and what was missing from all the other places I tried. Your hair is the point of focus, which seems like an odd thing to remark on- unless you've been to places where trendy, hip decor and embellishments are what it's all about. This isn't *that* place! I'm a real wash-wear-go type; I dislike busy/fancy hair (unless it's a 'do for a formal function, in which case, bring it ON). I frequently have had issues with hairstylists trying to "convince" me to change that. Here, I have never felt like someone was trying to do that. This isn't to say they don't do fancy 'dos, because they DO do 'dos (say that 3x fast!); they don't push them where they are unwelcome. They LISTEN. If your stylist isn't making you happy, go HERE.
