I've been coming to Dominick's for a few years now and I can't explain how satisfied I am every time I walked outta there. I'm not a particularly patient guy, and I do have a good amount of standards when it comes to my presentation so I don't just go into a shop and come out with a $5 haircut happy... but I have to say due to my impatience, I walk in and get a cut from anyone that's available. GOOD news is that everyone that's at the shop is more than capable and perfectly cuts my hair the way I want every time. Each professional just knows what kind of cut I need to be the most flattering and they help me get there. Everyone that's cut my hair there is extremely polite and very professional. They are very courteous and gentle. There are days where I feel like chatting and others where I don't, they don't make me feel awkward for being quiet or don't bother me to keep talking about random things. I've had some genuinely nice conversations with Joe about the neighborhood and current events. I just feel so great whenever I go in. I'm writing this lover overdue review because I am already planning to go tomorrow morning for a cut, and I know it's just going to be the perfect experience to kick off my weekend! Thanks to everyone at Dominick's for an amazing cut every time!! Oh, and since they moved, I am in awe of how absolutely beautiful the new place is! It is absolutely spotless, great lighting, and the ambiance is freakin fantastic! I feel like I am getting the VIP treatment there. GREAT decision to move to the new spot! read more

I've been going to Dominick's for the past 10 years. I've been in the shop when its been packed countless times and will say no one ever seems to leave without a smile on their face. Joe's been my go to guy for most of that time. He also put his heart and soul into the new place and frankly it looks great. I'd strongly recommend Dominick's if you like an old school no-nonsense but beautifully designed barbershop that can give you all of the services you'll find anywhere else. read more

Joe has been cutting my hair for years, his father before him. Just moved the shop a few blocks down and it looks incredible! I don't trust anyone else with my hair or my beard. read more

Great barbershop. Been going here for at least 15 years. Even after I moved out of state, I try to make my way for a cut when I am in town. I always get treated like family here. Haircuts are cheap - $15. They have other services as well for additional cost. They do shaves (regular or old school straight razor). The guys (and sometimes a girl) are all great. I always get greeted at the door and the wait is usually not that bad. Of course around the holidays there can be more of a wait. Some people also wait for a particular barber so if you have a favorite, it can be a little longer. It is what you expect when you hear barbershop in the traditional sense. The dialogue is great and they usually have the radio going (old radio too with the knob to turn from station to station) Nostalgia at its best. I have to edit this because I went in this week and found out the radio is gone and replaced by 2 plasmas and wifi. They are also training a new barber, which is cool. If you are in the area, definitely check them out. If you can find parking right out front, great, but if not park in the plaza across the street. Cash only read more

First, I'd like to say everyone is super nice there. And even though it's a barbershop. Ladies next time you're there whether for the kids, husband,or father. And you're in need of a cut. Just ask Cruz she has the capability to cut womans hair. She was so patient & understanding attentive to my needs. She understood, that I wanted to keep my length as long as possible. Yet, made sure to give me a really nice shaping. So ladies. It may be a Barbershop, but dont let that stop you. Cruz will take good care of you. Thanks Cruz read more

Frankly, I'm not quite sure how to review this place. But, before I explain why, I'll start with my haircut. If you ever ever have wondered what the worst haircut you could get would look like, come and visit the place. After walking in through the door and hearing great things about Glen for different friends, I was promptly whisked away by another Asian man ( He never cared to tell me his name ) after learning that Glen wasn't there. I was seated in the middle chair. I asked for a pretty basic haircut, longer on the top and shorter on the sides. Without saying a word, he proceeded to lop off the front of my hair with a dull pair of scissors ( Or possibly a hedge trimmer from looking at the aftermath ) so crookedly you'd think it was done during an earthquake. All I wanted was for it to be over and leave. While I might be exaggerating slightly, it was pretty terrible. I'd give the haircut 1.5 stars as the sides weren't terrible. The barber wasn't very friendly after seating me either as he basically didn't say a word ( Possible pro for those who are shy ). Let's just say I would never come back. The tricky part of this review as I was saying is the fact that there are multiple barbers. I cannot comment on Glen as I didn't go to him but from what I've heard he does a great job. The other barber there at the time was very friendly, more so than the barber doing my hair, and seemed well experienced. This is the reason why I'm giving it 3 stars because it is unfair to label everyone there as terrible. Finally the abridged version, give the place a try so long as you don't use the middle seat. read more

Joe's and the team are doing an amazing job, the new location is spotless and unique. It is not easy to find a good barber shop in the area that keeps their high standards for so many years, it is definitely my first choice and is highly recommended. read more

I like Dominick's. It's my backup barbershop when my regular guy, Dom in Harrington Park, is closed. Dominick's is nice because they have several barbers there, so the wait is usually very short. The people are nice, too. read more

Very friendly service from the time you walk in the door til your haircut is completely done. Joey does an amazing job with the cut. He puts in extra effort to assure that every client's cut is the best. All the barbers want to make sure you as the customer is well satisfied with your cut before you leave. They do a great job with the shave as well. Saturday mornings are busiest in this little neighborhood barbershop. I like the atmosphere nonetheless. The wait is never too long to get a haircut. Best time to walk-in and get a haircut is during the weekdays. If you have kids, they take delicate care of them while giving them a proper trim. They will make you feel like they have known you for a long time when you comeback the next time. You will never be disappointed by giving them a try. I found them by checking Yelp reviews as well. read more

Very talented and friendly barbers. They listen to exactly what you want, ask a lot of questions, and understand your hair and how to make you look your best. I've never walked out of there with a cut I've been unhappy with...you can count on their consistency. read more

Joe is an excellent barber. Wont go anywhere else anymore. Shop is clean and has nice TVs. And the price is unbeatable.

1st Class Barber Shop! Beautiful, spacious and elegant. Great haircuts, and friendly service.

I was looking for a great barber shop for my son. We finally found this place and Mike is very experienced and knows how to cut hair. Price is reasonable. We are truly happy and will come again. read more

This is the best Hot Towel Shave in the Ny/Nj metro area. I tried out multiple spots in the city and in Jersey and none compare to Domenicks. Alex is the man to ask for as he does an amazing job. I went to Truman's, art of shaving, E shave and a few other straight edge barbers in NYC. All were good but none as good as Alex. At $20 it's well worth the trip from the city and if you live nearby it's even better. The atmosphere is excellent and you get an amazing shave. *****- 5 stars read more

Hmmmm, since Jimmy (1st chair) has retired, the shop has lost a lot of it's personality, and, unfortunately, a fair amount of the customer base. Still my go-to barber, but Joey really needs to either step up to 1st chair, or find an outgoing personality to be the face and voice of Dominick's. read more

Authentic old school barber shop. Great prices and very experienced Barbers. Italians all the way, all of which have been working there for over 35 years, fresh off the boat.
