I'm accustomed to barbers that work by appointment which this shop does not take but even with the 20-30 minute wait I will still be back. As a side note I brought my 8 year old daughter along and one of the ladies on staff gave her a great haircut so Pablo's will be a family destination from now on.

Mary's Barber Shop Unisex - tiny but mighty Sparkill, NY 627…read moreMain Street, Sparkill My boyfriend just "needed a trim." (He always just needs a trim AND he always "has no time"). We wanted to stay close to Piermont because apparently driving more than a few minutes for hair maintenance is simply not in his schedule. There's not much you can do with his wiry hair hence no styling required, just take about two inches off before he starts looking like he stuck his finger in an electrical socket. Mary had him in and out in no time. $25 for a clean, sharp cut? Yes please. She was personable, attentive, and clearly knows what she's doing. The best part? She cleaned up his eyebrows without him even requesting it. Think Eugene Levy eye brows BEFORE Mary's intervention. I'm not a fan of the big chain spots for anything, especially quick men's trims. Super Cuts? Sports Clips? Great Clips? No thank you. I'll always choose a Mom-and-Pop shop where they actually know your name and take pride in their work. Mary's is exactly that; warm, local, and community-driven. Post-haircut, we celebrated by walking into Noble for a coffee - NOT Starbucks - and drove the six minutes home (no highway, barely any cars... ). Thank you, Mary! Wishing you success. Support your local shops, your boyfriend's eyebrows will thank you and so will the shop owners and the villages.

It's clean, consistent and quick. I'm in and out in 15 minutes as my cut is simple enough. Obviously some men's cuts these days require 30 min. If you're one of those, make it clear when calling to book an appointment. Appointments do need to be made over the phone and they also only take cash or checks. No credit cards here. They do all sorts of hair services - perms, colorings, prom cuts, men, women. And, prices here are very affordable compared to every other place around. Call and ask - you'll be shocked! A bathroom is located in the back for customers. Try them out and I think you'll be pleased with the experience of cost and cut.

I dont want to come off as a snob, but I am used to kind of a trendy salon feel. This place reminds me of a 90's salon if you know what I mean. Finding a good barber is like finding a diamond in the rough. The service industry often gets the…read more'that looks easy, anyone can do it' treatment - until you've been on the receiving end of a bad haircut. The difference between good/bad or mediocre/great is HUGE. So choosing a barbershop is never as simple as walking into the first place you see. Leaving my last barber was heartbreaking because his cuts were just that good. Fast forward: I've moved to a new area, and the hunt began again. I tried a few local barbers I was somewhat familiar with. The cuts were fine - nothing terrible, but nothing worth becoming a regular over. After almost a year here, I can confidently say: this is the shop. I found Eddery on Booksy (shoutout to appointment apps - I hate waiting in lines). Based on the reviews, I booked with him. Prices ranged from $30-40, a steal compared to the $60+ I'd paid elsewhere. The location is brand-new, barely even a sign out front, but it has that hungry startup energy. My appointment was for 6 PM after work. When I walked in, Eddery was the only barber there. He started about 10 minutes late, which usually irks me, but after seeing the result? Worth it. Eddery was friendly, welcoming, and ridiculously skilled. His vibe was perfect - no awkward silence, no nonstop chatter, just great conversation that never slowed his hands. I'd walked in with one style in mind, but after his input, we tweaked it. Best decision. His fade and beard work? 5-star. My guy did machine work, scissors, straight razor - the whole arsenal. I left clean. While he worked, I picked his brain about the area (he's a local, which I love to support). Then I spotted a trophy on the floor. Casually, he mentioned he'd just placed 3rd nationally in a barber competition the week before. Normally I'd side-eye a claim like that, but the proof was in the cut - and my wife's reaction sealed it. This is my new home barbershop. Do yourself a favor: book a cut (walk-in or appointment) and thank me later. 5/5 stars.
