Bought a car July 3, July 10 it caught on fire!!…read more Needs an engine wire harness ($500 parts, $500 labor) Needs new head gasket and possibly head, unknown upper engine damage ($1500-2500 depending on damage) 1.5-2qt overfull, with 1-2qts leaked all in the engine bay before fire. Fire started on the exhaust pipes up the backside of the engine. The front bumper has been replaced and front end damage repaired but body panels are not aligned properly. They KNEW it had issues...there's oil all over the engine but a nice new clean oil filter...hmmm Yeah, they cut a check for $400 as a sign of good faith...BULLSHIT...they NEED to FIX the car...yeah, was bought as is no warranty but with the issues the car has...they damn well knew it was JUNK.

This is a little lengthy but is the experience we just went through with their service department…read more Took our 2024 Chevy Equinox in because the engine light was on. This was on 10.7.24 and at 7:30 in the morning, so first thing on a Monday. Guy immediately goes out and sticks that reader thing underneath to get the error code. Doesn't tell me what it is, he probably didn't know because he's just an advisor, but I was fine with that because I figured they'd have to keep it to diagnose and get parts. The car is under warranty so I figured it would be taken care of. We call later that same day to check for an update with the situation because we've heard nothing from them. They tell my wife it's an easy fix and will be done by end of the day and they'd call when it was ready. That call never comes so I call and they tell me it's a switch they need to replace but they'd had to order it and would be in and repaired on Tuesday which is fine because we'd planned on that in the first place. Tuesday comes and I just have a bad feeling how this entire thing is starting to unfold because of their lack of communication with us, so I drive out to the dealership to talk to someone face to face. I get there and a different service advisor tells me that my service advisor had gone home for the day but was supposed to have called me and updated me on the status of the vehicle. Of course that didn't happen because it seems everyone in there is either incompetent or they just don't give a shit about their customers. It's actually a combination of the two I'd find out later. The service advisor that is there tells me that the parts department ordered the wrong part and that they had to reorder the correct part but wouldn't be in until Wednesday. Wednesday the "supposed correct part" comes in and gets installed. We never receive a call letting us know it's done. The wife calls on her lunch hour and the person she spoke with said it was done and to give them 10 minutes to get it ready for her. She goes in on her lunch hour and gets the car. They hand her the FOB and said: "it's good to go!" She asked for paperwork showing what work was done and they told her they'd sent it off to whoever they send warranty work to. Now I know most reputable businesses give some type of paperwork as proof of work that's been completed, that didn't happen here. Wife drives maybe 15 miles at the most after leaving the service department and lo and behold our little friend the check engine light comes back on. I'd venture to bet they never touched the vehicle and did absolutely nothing for two days. We called and got several excuses, the wife would call and get 1 excuse and I'd call and get a totally different story. Long story short: DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR REPAIRS. It's a shame too because this used to be a decent place to do business but not any longer. Now the place has very little vehicles on the lot for sale or for repairs and that's a reflection of leadership. These folks could give 2 you know whats about you or your vehicle. I'm sure Berkshire Hathaway is kicking themselves for investing in this armpit of a dealership. Josh S. - Don't waste your breath with a response or someone's email address to contact. And with no agrravation in his voice. Just a pleasant demeanor each time. Try calling your dealership and asking to talk to your mechanic. She left and came to RNR Tire Express went in and explained her situation to the tire professional, he immediately went out and brought her car inside and examined the tire and found that the tire had a roofing nail in the center of the tire, he showed my wife the nail and explained he would remove the tire and patch it from the inside. 10 minutes later my wife's car was back on the road and what really blew my mind, no charge ma'am...wow, you guys earned my business from here going forward, it's nice to know there are still stand up guys out there to look out for loved ones in our absence, Thanks to the guy that helped my wife, I owe you one bro!
