This is a great little local find- small tiny town and we found this restaurant for lunch after…read moredoing some blueberry picking. The inside has a great vibe- love the way it's decorated. The menu is quite extensive, maybe a little too much but it seems they do a good job. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. This place was very accomodating to the kids- they brought out paper and crayons for the kids and even added some fruit to their kids plates and brought an extra since they were splitting. Their fries are homemade and hand cut- they might need to be fried a little longer because some were soft or perhaps cut smaller but they were good. They make their sauces, dressings, soups, etc from scratch. My mom said even the salad croutons seemed to be homemade. I tried the tomato soup but next time i want to try the french onion. There's really a lot of things i want to try! I got the appetizer crab cakes- they needed a little something, some more flavor, salt, seasoning or something in my foodie opinion but they were good overall. I think there's a lot of things on the menu to explore to find out favorites. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend!

We ordered cheeseburgers and chicken strips basket. From the reviews, I was expecting homemade but I was disappointed. My hamburger patty, you could tell, was a frozen flat patty, but it was seasoned well. Chicken strips basket were better than the burger. I forgot to take pictures. Don't get me wrong.... the food was good but I was disappointed because I was expecting hand patted patties and fresh cut fries. Definitely not homemade. We passed through to visit family, food was good but don't think this will be a norm stop.

East Texas has a new BBQ Lovers Oasis…read more Got a tip tonight from the guys at Kiss of Death Tattoo in Mineola. (Don't Ask) about a BBQ place in Mineloa called Papa T's. It's a nice convenient location past train tracks on Pacific st. The place is clean and fresh with very friendly and helpful staff. I ordered the Brisket, Pork Ribs and the Garlic Cheddar Sausage with Potato Salad, and Baked Beans. OMG Brisket was juicy, tender, bark was crisp and flavorful! A+ the Pork Ribs were meaty fall off the bone tender with an amazing rub. The Sausage was full of flavor just the right amount of kick and it was very kickback friendly. The sides were a home run especially the potato salad. After 5 on a Friday night and they still have everything ?? That's amazing. The owners and staff were friendly and very helpful. Not your typical stuck up "Craft BBQ Wannabes" that think it's cool and prestigious not have food. Cannot say enough good about this place. I've been to most of the big name places around here and the DFW metroplex and I must say, I think I've finally found a place that delivers the whole package.
