Having been to the Fisheries and the Botanical Garden before, we were looking for a different place to stop. A quiet offbeat place with food and sweet treats was what I had in mind. Callaways Coffee and Bistro popped up as a little house with adorable photos and lovely reviews and off we went. It was perfect. They have REAL FOOD here. I tried to reproduce the menu, but seriously they have pages of breakfast, salads and sandwiches. And COFFEE, of course. I had this amazing 100% Angus patty Cheeseburger - an enormous perfectly cooked patty. ($9.95) My husband ordered the Ragun Cajun, a spicy Chicken breast on ciabatta that he loved. ($9.95) They still had pie, blondies, cookies and assorted yummy sweet treats under glass. I had the Buttermilk pie with a Tender crust and totally delicious filling! ($2.75) Our server was a terrific young man; personable, helpful and a good cook! We had a good time. The bathroom is Unisex and clean. There is plenty of seating.
