Amenities at the park include a playground with multiple playscapes, a splash pad with a wading pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, public restrooms with changing areas, walking paths, and convenient access to the nearby Neponset River Greenway. My family and I visited Ryan Park this past summer while we were cycling along the Neponset River Greenway. I had previously visited the park back in 2023 while I was cycling the trail with my older son. He had a lot of fun playing on the playscapes. Unfortunately, I didn't bring his bathing suit along on that trip and he felt bad that he couldn't play on the splash pad. On my more recent trip to Ryan Park, we were joined by my wife and younger son and this time we made sure to bring bathing suits. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the splash pad had been completely redone since my last trip. The newer splash pad had features that were more consistent with a wading pool. Both of my sons had a blast splashing around. Once swim time was over, we all enjoyed our prepared picnic lunch on a nearby picnic table. Afterwards, both boys had fun running around on the playscapes. Overall, my whole family thinks that Ryan Park is a great place for young children and it's easily accessible by motor vehicle, bicycle, or public transportation.

You would pay a $60 entry fee for access to a little water play area like this at a big water park. It's got a really good sized wading pool with lifeguards on duty. There are tons of spray features - an alligator, a turtle and a snake. There's also this awesome bucket contraption that fills up six buckets with water and then dumps them out over and over. It's totally fun! There are plenty of benches, with nice sun canopy shades overhead. There's even a bathroom / shower facility adjacent to the water features! That's just the water park. Ryan playground is seriously stacked. There's a huge area with two giant play structures. It's got a wood chip base (not updated with the rubberized surface that many newer playgrounds have) and some benches. There are also tennis and basketball courts! And it looks like they are currently finishing construction of a walkway to provide access to the Neponset River walkway. I'm excited for that! Last but not least - this is Boston after all - there is a parking lot! YES - parking. It is small, but dammit, it's there and it's free!!! We will be back SO many times. I wish it didn't take me this long to realize this place was 5 minutes from my house. Hidden Bostonplayground gem!

My husband was having a civilized conversation with a fellow member the day after the presidential election when suddenly the director of the fitness center broke in uninvited and launched into an unprovoked verbal attack based on false assumptions about his political views. After staying away for a year and a half, we recently considered rejoining because of a health need for specific classes that are not available elsewhwere. However, the management refused to speak to their employee about his bullying behavior or to mediate in any way. I would not recommend this club to anyone who expects to feel safe and respected.

There is tons of ample space and room to go for a walk, a run, or play with man's best friend. Dogs can be on leash or off leash - I saw a mix of both. Everyone we ran into was very friendly and nice. We didn't see any aggressive dogs (nor did we encounter any) and if we wanted to move away to a more secluded area, there was plenty of room to do that. From what I could tell, most of the park is clean. Of course there were some areas that some dog owner's didn't pick up after their pets, but not as bad as you might anticipate. Great view and a great location to take tons of cute photos. Loved this park and would definitely recommend!

I came here and played basketball a few times and its always the same people. It can get a little rowdy and competitive at times so if that isn't your thing, this might not be the place for you. As for the staff they have always been helpful with any questions I had. If you plan on discontinuing your membership just remember to give someone a heads up at the front desk. You have to give them notice 15 days or something before your next billing cycle to get your paper work done and on time. Just wish they had more room and courts. Everything was fairly clean and machines worked.

There are two play structures, both with slides and an array of climbing structures separated by a fence. One side for tots and one for older kids. There is no parking lot but I've never had trouble finding an on street space on beautiful LaGrange street. Its proximity to the plenty of shops and restaurants along Centre Street lend to making the visit to the playground a multi-purpose outing. I know how much effort it took to get the kids loaded up and out the door - so let's make the most of it! While it can get busy, it's never been so overwhelmingly crowded that my introverted personality couldn't handle it. I've always been very comfortable with the amount of kids and guardians. This is our favorite playground in the city so far, it has become our regular spot.

I booked it with Ann who is the Marketing associate, she is very professional and friendly, we stayed in contact via email up about 48 hours prior to my event. We went over the contract the day I signed, and a few days before my event to go over everything such as rules and the start/end time. I met with Frank the facilities Manager in the beginning and at the end of my event, he was also very professional and friendly. Overall the party was great, many people reached out to me on info so they can plan future events at this location. If you want to deal with professional, friendly people I'd definitely say book here. Last thing to keep in mind if you plan on setting up decor/balloons you will need to add additional time to your contract for setting up and also for cleaning up at the end of your event.

After calling 20+ places, the Community House answered promptly and worked efficiently to ensure we could have the party less than two days later. The gym was a perfect place to hold a party for kids. They were able to run around and play out of the toy closet. We were also grateful for the chairs and tables that were made available for no extra charge. I'll definitely be remembering them for future parties and would recommend them without hesitation.

The Dedham PF has been my "go to" gym the last 3 years and I'm finding myself disappointed with the equipment maintenance. The (2) rowing machines have not worked properly since at least September of 2024. The assisted pull up/dip machine has been out of service for at least 3 months as have (2) treadmills. Today there were (6) treadmills that were not functional and displayed error messages (I'm assuming these will be quick fixes). I reported the broken rowing machines a few times last year but that fell on deaf ears. I really enjoy the convenience of going to the Dedham PF in the early morning hours before work but in all honesty there are other options if you folks can't get your arms wrapped around this.
