Our guests danced the whole night, and many told us they have never seen a wedding band that good. Also, we were so glad to be able to work with Steve Bloom who was a consummate professional, particularly compared with some of the other band managers we had spoken with when selecting bands. Give me some Cover Me Badd…read more.. I have been a fan of this cover band since 2012 when I first saw them perform on stage at Thunder Valley Casino (free entertainment on Main Stage). I love the 80's as we all saw the emergence of dance music and new wave in this decade and they performed a lot of music from Top40 dance hits, to hip hop, and MTV. Sadly, Thunder Valley no longer have these weekend performances of free cover bands (bummer!) but I've followed Cover Me Badd at other venues from Concert on the Square in downtown Roseville to Red Hawk Casino in Placerville to Ace of Spades in Sacramento. This talented group of high energy musicians will keep you entertained whether you like to sing along with their jams or dance, dance, dance! My husband's dad is a professionally musician who plays at weddings, his family owns a music shop, and we can just say that are a bit particular when it comes to music and wedding entertainment (WHICH I'M TOTALLY FINE WITH!!). We looked long and hard for the perfect band for our Lake Tahoe wedding. GTB was great for so many reasons on paper: did not charge a travel fee, 7 piece band with 2 techs, did not ask for a hotel room for the night, and rest set lists. We were even more impressed when we started to talk to John, listen to their demos online, and speak with referrals. A+ all the way! The band arrive 3.5 hours before the wedding to set up.. they arranged a mic and PA system for our ceremony and even provided a music stand for my uncle who was playing guitar for the ceremony. They put together a set list per our request ions, as well, for the cocktail hour. The party was started quickly! GTB worked with my husband's family to allow them to assist in our first dance (they sang and played and GTB did backup), which was so special to us. We had a delay with dinner service, so GTB even stayed and played an extra 45 min after our 10:00 expected end time to play longer. Our party was amazing! I would hire GTB in a second for something else (we even joke that we want to get married again just so we can have GTB!!!).
