Eli is THE MAN!!  We interviewed with 2 other DJs before meeting with Eli, who was a preferred vendor at our venue, and we were 100% sold on him within the first 20 minutes of talking to him.  His passion for all things music is immediately evident, and we ended up spending over 2 hours on Zoom with him that first meeting just nerding out over musical tastes and throwing out fun ideas for the wedding.  It felt just like talking to a long-time friend. In the lead-up to the big day, Eli was so fun and easy to work with.  He was always receptive to our ideas, and had some of his own really fun suggestions.  When it comes to music, itself, he wanted us to provide him with a pretty detailed list of our favorite songs and artists, even ones that aren't typically "wedding music," so he could include them throughout the evening at various times and help really make the wedding feel like "us."  He has an unbelievable depth of musical knowledge, and any artists or songs we suggested that he wasn't familiar with he was truly excited to go check out. We already knew he was awesome, but on the actual wedding day he still managed to exceed our already high expectations. He is super efficient and professional in everything, and we were blown away by the amount of our favorite music he was able to include throughout the evening during cocktail hour and dinner. There were numerous times that night where a song would come on and my wife and I would turn to each other and say "How did Eli know we love this band?? I don't think we ever even told him!" My husband and I have eclectic but specific music taste, and my husband is a musician, so the sound of our wedding was extra important to us! All I have to say after all the miserable wedding planning experiences we've been through in 2020, DJ Eli is probably the 1 vendor that stayed positive, kind, and engaged in everything despite the terrible circumstances for events lately. All of our other vendors and venue seemed to make things difficult and stressful, but not this guy! Unfortunately, we ended up canceling our event completely but I had to get on here and tell you guys how much we wish we could have utilized him. From the start, he was easy to get ahold of and straightforward about pricing. There wasn't all this pressure of extra frills like other DJs we spoke to in the area. The second thing we noticed is he knows music....and not just top hits, he knows older music, obscure music, many genres. Compared to other wedding DJs in the area we made inquiries with, he was reasonably priced and a lot less confusing as far as what is offered for events. He does communication by video chat because of covid and he had endless records in the background of his office. You can tell this really is his passion and he is very much a people person. When we had to cancel, he was kind and understanding and absolutely professional which we cannot say the same for everyone else we dealt with in the wedding industry. Best DJ ever!!! Can we hang out with Eli all the time?! When we first started e-mailing with Eli, we could tell he was passionate about music! We threw out some suggestions and he threw out a lot more. We loved his style. He met with us months before our wedding to get to know us and talk about our music interests and the vibe we wanted for our wedding. You will not regret booking Eli as your DJ. He was so easy to work with from consultation to payment to handling everything on the day of. We met with him about a year before our wedding and he gave us a worksheet to start working on with our song preferences and advised me to think about creating some Spotify playlists so he would have an idea of what kind of music my husband and I are into and what our crowd would like. About 2 weeks before the wedding, he checked in with us. This is when I sent him over our worksheet and the links to our playlists. He also allowed me to pay him in advance via Venmo which was such a relief as I was nervous about trying to keep track of all that cash on the wedding day. Day of- I was obviously oblivious to when he arrived and set up as I was busy getting ready.
