Hip Service was absolutely fantastic! They were a ton of fun, had high energy, and had an amazing sound. They kept us and our guests on the dance floor for hours. They made our wedding so much fun and our guests haven't stopped telling us how great the band was. Worth every penny. read more

Very entertaining band and show. Danced the whole time! So many instruments. So many good singers.

Hip Service played at our wedding and totally blew us away. We were excited and had high expectations for how good they would be, but they totally exceeded those expectations. Our guests danced the whole night, and many told us they have never seen a wedding band that good. Also, we were so glad to be able to work with Steve Bloom who was a consummate professional, particularly compared with some of the other band managers we had spoken with when selecting bands. I just hope we have another occasion to use them for, and I can't recommend them enough!!! read more

I think we can say without a doubt that working with HipService was one of the best experiences we had in the entire wedding process. The band was amazing. All of our guests commented on how fun and engaging they were. The HipService Ops team was incredibly transparent and communicative in the planning process. We'd recommend them 10/10 at your next event. They really made our wedding memorable and epic. read more

HIGHLY recommend HipService as your band! They were our wedding band in Lake Tahoe and we absolutely loved them. Many of our guests said it was the best part of the wedding. Steve was super easy to communicate with and made all of our requests happen! Definitely recommend, they were the best! read more

We had very high expectations for Hip Service based on their reviews, but they exceeded them anyway. Their promo videos online show their exceptional quality, so I'll mention a couple behind the scenes things. First, Steve is great to work with logistically: proactive and super-responsive, while still being low-stress and understanding when things change. These characteristics are especially welcome in what can be stressful wedding planning, and I didn't necessarily expect such a high-powered operation to be able to take the individualized time for our event. Second, the band learned an R&B song for us that wasn't totally in its normal wheelhouse, but they totally smoked it. Overall, they were the centerpiece of our wedding and delivered in every way! read more

The band was INCREDIBLE. The second they started performing, everyone was on the dance floor, and no one sat down the rest of the night. I think out of all of the decisions we made for the wedding, this was one of the best. I'll never forget when the song Dancing Queen came one (my favorite), they prefaced it by saying it was a special request from a special person, and then they let me get on stage with them - it was one of the highlights of the entire wedding and made me SO happy! read more

These guys & gals were amazing. We had a wedding of about 260 people and everyone was raving about how good the band was. The performance was 5 star and you could see that the band put their hear and soul into the performance. I will recommend to everyone and hope to hire them again! They made our wedding day so special! From the first dance they preformed by leon bridges to don't stop believing they had everyone dancing the entire night and everyone was sad when it ended but also exhausted from all the dancing! People that didn't dance said they enjoyed just sitting watching the performance. That's how good they were. read more

We just saw Hip Service close out the Creek Walk Concert series on Friday night--they were unbelievable! They did 3 full, high-energy sets and everyone was on the dance floor! The horn section, guitar, bass and vocalists are amazingly talented. The three female vocalists had a huge range of styles and sounds and were totally captivating. The male vocalist was truly incredible--he is great with the crowd and can sing everything from Van Morrison to Stevie Wonder and lots of great 70's funk hits. This band has it all! They play every great song from Lady Ga Ga, Black Eyed Peas, to Marvin Gaye, Aretha, and all the best of funky dance songs. Guaranteed top-notch entertainment that will have everyone dancing! read more

we hired hip service's 11 piece band for our recent wedding in guerneville, CA a week ago and i have literally received emails, texts, messenger pigeon notes from every single person there telling me that it was the best dance party they have ever been to (and these people have had their fair share of dance parties). i have never seen more people getting down on a dance floor in my life. grandmas, babies, a weird townie dude who decided to crash the wedding for a little bit, tall boy in-hand... we provided them with a rough list beforehand and in addition to playing all the jams, they incorporated a few more that we had requested that weren't on their list. i literally danced for 2.5 hours straight - which my poor wedding dress can attest to as it's now completely black and torn on the bottom from all of the dancing and stomping around (was totally worth it). i want to do it all over again. thank you guys SO much for making my wedding. read more

Steve Bloom's Hip Service Entertainment did such a fabulous job at our eldest daughter's wedding in 2017 that we hired him again for our 2nd daughter's wedding in June 2022. And he and his group once again delivered an engaging and entertaining performance. Literally from the minute they began playing through the very end of the evening, the dance floor was packed. Every age was represented from our young relatives to friends of the wedding couple to the parents (us) and our family and friends. Truly a fun and wonderful experience that amplified this joyous occasion. read more

Fantastic Band!!! What a great eve I had :-) I was a guest a a holiday party at the Sutter Club, Sacramento a couple of weeks ago; My first time to see the beautiful, old world Sutter Club but also the band HIP Service...I had heard about this Sacramento band but had never seen them before, WOW! The band was amazing, friendly with great energy...Surprised at how large of a band it is..I think 11 of them with guitarist, drummer, saxophone, 3 pretty singers and an incredible male singer...we danced all night to great songs and music! Needless to say, the holiday party was memorable and a total success! Thank you HIP Service** read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would! I am a wedding planner in the Seattle area and was looking for the perfect high energy dance band for my client's destination wedding in Sonoma. My clients were very picky in what they wanted so I was so thankful when I researched Hip Service and it sounded like they were everything we were looking for. Nothing cheesy, just classy, extremely talented and fun. We hired them for ceremony piano, PA system and guitarist for the cocktail hour, their jazz band for dinner and the 11 piece Hip Service experience for the rest of the event. Steve was so easy to work with, easy going with our questions and changes leading up to the wedding. As a planner, it made my job so much easier. I must say that even with all of my high expectations and excitement for this band going into it, on the wedding day, they absolutely blew me away and I've been working with event bands for over a decade. They nailed it perfectly on each and every portion of the event. Hip Service is SIMPLY THE BEST I have ever seen. Northern California, you are lucky to have them! Hire them and see for yourself! read more

I have worked with Hip Service on several events, and they are amazing. I refer them to my clients all of the time, knowing that they will never disappoint. They are one of the only bands in all of Northern California that can keep a wedding {of any size!} on the dance floor, lip syncing along to their great tunes. If you are look for a high energy, amazing performance at your wedding or event, I highly recommend that you take a look at Hip Service...and then book them ASAP! read more

I saw this band at a friend's daughters wedding in San Francisco and knew that this was the band to hire for my daughter's wedding. Steve Bloom, the band manager and lead guitarist is very accommodating, and he can put together a group for any occasion and any budget. Will even learn new songs by request. They are also a pleasure to listen to and dance to. Couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

Hip service played at our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! They were easy to work with, professional, and absolutely incredible during the wedding! We received so many compliments about the band and they made our party the best time! Thank you Hip Service and Steve! You're all incredible!!! read more

Hip Service played our wedding in Lake Tahoe and we went with them sight unseen based solely on a recommendation from our wedding planner. Needless to say we were nervous. It was one of the most important factors of our reception and in our minds it would play a huge part in whether or not our guests were going to have the great time that we wanted all of them to have. Rolling the dice on something like this was uncharacteristic of us, but at the end of the day trusting our planner and Hip Service could not have paid off any more than it did! They were incredible!!! They nailed every song that they played and did a great job reading the crowd and putting on one heck of a show. The dance floor was packed the whole time they were playing. When they announced it was the last song, the packed dance floor responded in unison "nooooo!!". Countless people came up to us the following days to tell us how much fun they had and how great the band was. We could not have picked a better band to play on our special day! Thanks again Hip Service! I highly highly recommend booking them for any wedding or any function for that matter in need of a great band! read more

Hip Service - Hip service bringing down the house! - Performing Arts Near Me

Simply the best! We discovered Hip Service at a friends wedding and knew when our day came they had to be a part of it. They are the best there is - talented, engaging, and easy to work with! All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing they were and we will treasure them being a part of the wedding for years to come! Highly recommended if you're looking for entertainment! Thank you Steve and team! read more

Hip Service is the best in the business. Leading up to our wedding, they were incredible to work with - communicative, flexible, willing to learn new songs! The two and a half hours we spent dancing at our wedding was the most fun part of our whole weekend. They did not disappoint for a single song. The majority of our guests were dancing the entire time - a couple guests from our of town even came up to us and told us that they wished a band like this was closer to them. They learned a brand new song (for them) for mine and my husband's first dance, and we were blown away. It's now our favorite rendition of that song. I could not recommend anything more - if you can get Hip Service, you absolutely should. read more

I just wanted to email and tell you how much we all enjoyed Hip Service last Saturday night at our daughter's Wedding. You all were amazing and EVERYONE, young and old, commented on how much the band made the evening! Not only was the music amazing, but the showmanship had people raving! Thank you and your band for helping to make the wedding a Great Success! read more

Hands down the best band I ever ever seen in my life! They made my wedding so amazing, special, and a non stop dance party all night long. My guests are STILL raving about how amazing this band was. Steve bloom was so great to work with and super accommodating. We had quite a few special requests and he was able to make them all happen! I cannot say enough great things about this band. They were a pleasure to work with and so much fun!!!! Highly highly recommend for a non stop dance party :) read more

THE absolute best wedding band I have ever seen, and was lucky enough to have perform at our wedding. From the first interaction we had with Steve, Hip Service was nothing but accommodating. We booked Hip Service after seeing you perform at another friends wedding and were blown away. They absolutely delivered for our wedding night and guests are still raving about the best wedding band they ever have seen. I never imagined that the whole crowd would be still dancing hard at 11:30 pm and all chanting "1 more song! 1 more song!" after they played their last song... They brought our wedding from awesome to absolutely incredible. read more

The best cover band ever! I saw Hip Service performing at a wedding at the Bohemian Club in SF. I'll admit that even at that swanky venue - I wasn't expecting a kick ass dance band. They were amazing! I became a Facebook fan as soon as I got home (cell phones frowned upon at the Bohemian Club..that's right) It's a big band with sax, trombone and trumpet, 4 or 5 singers and every song they played was great. Katy Perry, Maroon 5, EW & F, Aerosmith even James Brown for the real deal music people (some were there). The whole crowd, 25 to 75, was on the dance floor and partying! They were perfect. Props Hip Service - you are the best and I will find you again! read more

Hired this band for a special event in Lake Tahoe, and they were true professionals. Contracting with them was very easy (no unreasonable, prima-dona type demands) and they already knew the venue because they have played there many times before. Our guests really enjoyed the music, which kept everyone dancing right up until the close of the event. Best dance band in Sacramento! read more

Great band with fun energy!!! They came to our company holiday party yesterday and had everyone dancing the whole night! Would love to have them come again next year. read more

We hired Hip Service for our daughter's wedding. Everything and I mean everything about this band exceeded our expectations-which were already high as we had heard them at another wedding. Professional, easy to work with, hugely talented and entertaining. One of our best decision, if not THE best. read more

This band is perfection. They were the first vendor we picked because when we got engaged my cousin had just been to a wedding where Hip Service performed and immediately told us about them. And they were just as good as we expected. Everyone was dancing the entire night and kept coming up to us telling us how great this band was. They were a dream to work with (Steve is awesome) and were very professional. They also had very few requests for the day of, compared with some other bands that we looked at. They learned a song for us, and let us create a long song list. If you want a great dance party, this is the band to use! They were also able to help with all our sound needs for the entire evening. read more

Saw them perform at a company event - loved them! Great energy and so much fun!!!

Wow! This band is spectacular! From the communication to the set-up to the music they preform. I cannot express how much I appreciated the professionalism, friendliness, and fun this group provides...they also are very polite! The instruments, singers/dancers great! The guests at the wedding were loving them and all the dancing...the floor was never empty...even I the wedding planner was dancing! (under order of the bride & groom!) Thank You, Thank You! read more

Hi Steve, Nick and I want to express a huge thanks to you and the rest of Hip Service for making our wedding a true celebration. I'm sure you're used to hearing how incredible you all are, but we just can't get over how lucky we were to hear you at our friends' wedding ~4 years ago. My only wish is that we could have met each of the band members individually to express our gratitude. We had a lot of moving parts in our wedding and you and your crew made it seamless. We hope you enjoyed the venue and the food (you guys got enough dinner, right?!) We had an absolute blast and appreciate all of your talents. I don't think our parents have danced like that in quite some time. We hope to see you in the near future at one of our friends' events (several engaged couples at the wedding asked for your info.). Thank you so much! Brandi & Nick :) read more

We booked Hip Service before we even booked our wedding venue. We first experienced Hip Service at our friend's wedding, and having them at our wedding was the best decision we made. We honestly could have had our reception in a parking lot or garage, and if we had this band, it still would have been an incredible party. From working with my brother for his "toast" and learning our first dance song to keeping the dance floor at such a high energy all night, the band was amazing. Thank you Hip Service! read more

BEST WEDDING BAND EVER!!!! HIP Services-Where do I begin. Planning a wedding from Baton Rouge, LA in Sonoma, CA can be challenging. Finding a band which sets the tone of the wedding is one of the most important component. I had more compliments about the band that Anthony else at the wedding. I got told this was the BEST wedding band they had heard and how did I find them. Steve made it so easy and even the wedding planner said how professional he was and easy to deal with. From the moment the band kicked off, the dance floor was filled with fun and people. Their energy, their personality, their choice of music was more than I could have ever asked for. Thank you Hip Services and especially Steve, for making our wedding a memorable event. (And, we hired them without ever going to hear them play live---I had complete trust in Steve with his direction! From the mother of the bride, I can tell you they help to make a perfect wedding. Thank you Hip Services for your talent and being so easy to work with. Holly C read more

Hip Service is fantastic! The band played at our wedding last weekend and from the moment they started, the dance floor was packed. The only time we took a break from dancing was when the band took its breaks. Hip Service has a wide range of music styles and genres, and does each extremely well. The musicians are terrific and the vocals are stellar! Steve is personable and will tailor his style to that of your event. Our guest raved about the band all night and even into the next day! All in all, Hip Service is great to work with - professional, highly entertaining and super talented!! read more

Hipservice was fantastic! They sounded amazing at my daughter's wedding, played great songs, and had nearly all of our 140+ guests on the dance floor. After the wedding tons of our family and friends commented about how great the band was. Hipservice was also super easy to work with. They were much more flexible than some of the other bands we considered in their requests and their rider. When we had to move the wedding last minute due to the Sonoma fires, they were very willing to play at our new location despite it being an hour or so away from the other venue. read more

WOW - in one word this is the best way to sum up Hip Service. They had all 200 people at our wedding on the dance floor - even the 95+ year old grandparents (mine got out of her wheelchair so she could be part of the action)!! If you want a wedding where your guests are talking about how fun it was for weeks on end - make sure Hip Service runs the show! read more

Hip Service really gets people on the dance floor!!! The music is fantastic and the musicians are stellar. You can tell they are really having fun up there and vibe is contagious! If you are lucky enough to have them at your event, then you will be in good hands as they are very professional, have loads of experience and practically know everyone in town. The best decision we made during our wedding vendor selection was to hire Hip Service to perform during our reception! Having a band is definitely an investment, but it's one that was so incredibly worth it. Steve was extremely professional and responsive throughout the planning process, and was so easy to work with. On the wedding day, everything went so smoothly (AV set up with microphones, for speeches, and ceremony sound, etc.). We also had a jazz trio during cocktail hour that was awesome. The band was AMAZING! They really know how to get everyone out dancing! We are in our late 20s so we wanted to find a band that knew some modern songs but also played the classics to get guests of all ages on the dance floor. Hip Service did just that! They were also so interactive with the guests, and didn't mind when my (HUGE) family got up on stage with them to dance and sing. I want to re-live my wedding day thanks to Hip Service - seriously, you guys are the best! So many of our guests commented that the band was amazing and have asked for their information. Thank you, Hip Service, for making our wedding the best night of our lives! read more

Hipservice played at our wedding in Sonoma last week and they were truly outstanding. The dance floor was packed from the first to the last song. The performances from the 11 members were dynamic and the set lists kept the party going! We looked at several bands before picking Hipservice and no other band even came close to their make-you-want-to-dance performance and their professionalism in communication and contracting. They are also really nice people who are kind, fun and easy to work with. Our guests are still raving about the band. I would book them again for any event! They were amazing and gave us life-long memories of literally jumping with joy and celebrating and with our family and friends. read more

Hip Service played at our wedding in Napa last weekend and they were incredible! Music was really important to us, and we were looking for a band that would keep the energy high, play current and classic music, and they did just that. Steve was incredibly easy to work with as we booked, we even requested a special song that was not on their (long and diverse) playlist for the mother/son dance, and the band learned it in advance for us. We've been receiving tons of compliments from our friends and parents friends about how great they were (appeal to all generations). The musicians and vocalists were awesome. Our horah was incredible. They were also helpful in "emceeing" the speeches during the dinner. At the end of the night our guests were cheering for an encore (and even after they played a final song, guests wanted more). I recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much! read more
