My husband hired them to put in a barbecue area in our backyard and pavers with trees in the front of our house. Then he suggested adding on some plants by our master bedroom window and behind the barbecue area. That's where the trouble began. All work was approved in August. We decided on honeysuckles on trellises and camellias. The work for the barbecue area and the front of the house went well and on schedule. The area behind the barbecue area and by the master bedroom were not completed. It kept getting put off. The job was started in August and was not finished until the following April. Excuses included that the plants were not available at the nursery that they use. That actually was a bit of a relief since they wanted to plant them in January and I was afraid that they would freeze. Then March rolls around and I ask if we could go to the nursery that they use and pick out the honeysuckles and camellias. There was not much to pick from, but we decided on coral honeysuckle for behind the barbecue area and purple honeysuckle and two white camellias for the master bedroom area. Unfortunately, the only white camellias available were on trellises. I told my husband that it might cause a problem, but if they asked for more money that would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately, no one spoke to us about it. Their answer to the problem was simply to leave out the trellises for the honeysuckles. Now we have honeysuckles that are planted too far from the fence with no trellises. This company is either lacking in communication with customers or does not have enough experience with smaller plants. I recommend them for stonework, paving, and tree planting, but not for smaller plants. Their pricing is very reasonable. Just be sure that they understand what is important to you for example trellises. Also be sure that they don't do any planting in January when your plants are liable to freeze. Better yet just stick to the stonework and paving. They are great at that!

Anyway we called numerous other contractors with poor results; no response, some made appointments to come out to look but didn't bother showing up or some who gave outrageous estimates over the phone, sight unseen. We then found O'Neal Masonry. Lamal was off the top, very professional, made an appointment right away, actually came out to get on the roof to assess the damage and knew how to use technology to provide a detailed estimate via the app he used. He gave us a reasonable cost and time estimate, arrived on time and finished early. We were so comfortable with his work we added our second chimney (preventive maintenance). Lamal covered our roof skylight and solar panels while working; everything was cleaned up and he provided before and after pictures along with his final invoice. I did my pool right after Covid times and everyone was charging triple the cost and I was hearing horror stories of people waiting a year for their projects to be completed. After interviewing a few pool contractors and getting multiple bids I knew JCW construction was the company to hire. Not only was he the most knowledgeable but the most affordable contractor. Jason the owner knows what he's doing when it comes to pools. I showed him exactly what I wanted and he designed and built it exactly the way I wanted my pool. I also gave him a 3 month time line and he met the time line. I was very happy about that. Another thing that stood out to me is when I asked for references, Jason sent me about 15 references to call within minutes. EVERY SINGLE PERSON SAID THE SAME THING HE DOES GREAT WORK.
