I planned to extend and reupholster my sofa for years and years. I finally did it this year. It looks and feels perfect! Alfonso worked with me to decide what fill at what strength I wanted and kindly made changes to allow me to try several options. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

First and foremost the customer service here was amazing! Friendly service and quick replies! I had requested two chairs to be restored and I was more than pleasantly surprised! The final result was more than I expected for a better price than the other quotes I got. I would highly recommend giving Martinez upholstery your business ! read more

Firstly, Alfonso and Miguel are courteous and friendly, very easy to do business with. Alfonso returned my calls and texts promptly and the pricing is very fair. My two chairs turned out just as I asked for: pattern centered on the seats, piping on top and bottom. As a matter of fact, even though Alfonso had an onsite problem with an existing job, he still got my chairs done as promised. Called me in the evening to let me know. I will certainly do business with Martinez Upholstery again and have already recommended them to two friends. Alfonso has a strong work ethic, I'm sure taught from his father, takes pride in his work and skills. Do not hesitate hiring. read more

Alfonso was super communicative from the beginning. We needed our headliner replaced in a2006 Honda accords. Miguel at the shop was so accommodating when my husband went in. Our headliner looks brand new, and his pricing was very fair. We won't go to anyone else. I highly recommend Martinez Upholstery. read more

I am so impressed with the great job and amazing service Alfonso provides. I've been doing business with the Martinez for years. Alfonso's dad created the best slip cover for my sofa. It has stayed looking good, in spite the effort of my multiple pets. I just had my pillows redone, and again the quality of their work and kindness are beyond expectations. When you have a favorite dining room table and chair set that you've had forever, you have to make the commitment to pay for any repairs rather than replacing the set. I found Martinez upholstery searching through Yelp and I couldn't have made a better decision. From the beginning, Alfonso was responsive and friendly. His pricing was more than fair and he fully explained what work he was going to do to repair our wood chairs. Upon picking them up I realized immediately that he did an outstanding job. The two chairs were pretty broken and splintered when I brought them to him. Alfonso mended them to the point where you couldn't even see where the repairs were done. Thank you so much Martinez Upholstery. I will be back for any of our future furniture repairs. You should definitely consider giving Alfonso your business. read more

If I could give a 10, I would! They picked up my beautiful old chair the same day I called! Their fee for reupholstering was very fair, I also needed a little construction and he did not charge extra! The chair came back after 2-3 weeks looking like a million bucks! So so happy! Alfonso Martinez is my new guy!!! read more

DISCLOSURE: I have not hired them yet, but strongly considering for the new room upholstery project. They are very professional, knowledgeable and maintain excellent and prompt communication. While their labor cost is not the cheapest on the market, it may be well justified by a fast turnaround time and adequate quality. Frankly, the cheapest labor quote I received so far, is more of an outlier, so I am quite wary of it. read more

I've been wanting to reholpsolster the dining room chairs from my inherited Baker dining room set for 5 years but was sure it would be too expensive so have lived with my Mothers choice from the 70s of green striped satin... yuk!! Finally decided now that I've retired its time for me to have a few splurges. So got 3 quotes and Martinez was the middle price. I couldn't have been happier with their service and workmanship. Alfonso sr came out in the pouring rain to bring books of fabric samples so we could match the chairs to our drapes and new rug. Once the fabric arrived he also brought a chair for us to see before completing the entire job which he had ready the next day. They look great and I'm sure my Mother would be quite pleased! read more

I had been shopping around for a headboard. After looking at several furniture stores, I couldn't find what I had in mind. My friend recommended me Alfonso. He set up a time and came to my house. He showed me a few pictures of headboards he had done for other customers and I was sold! He designed my headboard and custom made it to my liking! My mom liked it so much she has already made an appointment with him. My next project is my dining room and I know I will be calling him to reupholster them. I would definitely recommend Martinez Upholstery! I was looking for stools that would match my kitchen. I found some in stainless steel, but only found them in a black suede. With 3 kids, and the everyday use of the stools, the suede didn't last long. I asked Alfonso to reupholster them in brown leather to match my kitchen and I absolutely love the results! He added the right amount of cushion to make them really comfortable and they are definitely much more durable. Thank you Alfonso! read more

Quality Craftsmanship, Excellent Customer Service The upholstered headboard that Martinez created is nothing short of stunning. Based on the reviews in Yelp, I was expecting something special. What they created exceeded my expectations. Here's the thing though: it is easy to leave a 5-star review when the result is stellar and everything went along without a glitch. I think a company's worth is shown when things go sideways, which is what happened in my case. When it happened (something minor), Alphonso Jr. contacted me immediately, went the extra mile (literally as he had to drive to DTLA to remedy the issue) and just fixed it. THAT'S when you know you are dealing with a superior company. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! I was watching a friends dogs and came home to a destroyed couch, the last thing I wanted to do was get a. Ew couch or find time to get it repaired. LUCKILY I stumbled upon Martinez Upholstey and chose them essentially for their one $ and didn't want to charge the dog owner a lot for the fix. Not only did they come to me on my time schedule, pick up the cushion within a day wait for me they charged me an incredibly low and fair price!!! Returned it to me in a day better than before and refilled the down stuffing for FREE!! I have NEVER experienced such incredible customer service in my life! I wish them all the business and success they so deserve. Rare in this economy and climate! Small, family owned business that does excellent work. I sure do appreciate skilled craftsmanship. After my grandmother died recently, I decided to to try to restore an antique chair of hers. The wood and finish was in rough shape but they sent it out to be refinished first, and then reupholstered the back and seat when it came back from finishing. The chair came out beautiful.
