We placed our orders and it was simple and easy. Food came out fairly quickly. Everything tasted fresh and handmade! My favorite kind of Mexican cuisine! The corn tortillas definitely were pressed same day. I ordered 3 asada tacos and 1 chicken tamale. They had pork but it was sold by the bunch which was 6, and since it was my 1st time there I didn't want that many. The Asada taco was sooo juicy and they were not stingy with the meat. I wasn't disappointed with the flavors. The tamale was good but a little bit on the dryer side. However, I really liked the green chili inside with the chicken, and I could tell that was fresh too. I gave them a 5 start because the service was great neighborhood service that I appreciate. We ordered two guava margaritas with tajin rim and baayyybaayyy, FIRE! I would come back for that alone and the local conversation. Our bartender let us know the margaritas was the "Ms Martinez Remedy," because she made it from scratch. Guava juiced that day. This place is awesome. I usually get tacos or the burrito but I decided to get pozole on a Saturday. I got the half gallon ($16.99) with the garnish ($4.99). The employees are so attentive and ask if you've been helped. I took my pozole to go and the half gallon is well served. My only complaint is that the pozole was a little bland. It was missing a certain flavor. I don't know if it was oregano that was missing or a little chile. I wish I had bought some lime too because that would have helped. The garnish comes with toasted chiles de árbol, onion, cilantro, and cabbage. Next time I go I will try the carnitas, they only have them on Sundays. read more

Ok so this was our second time visiting this restaurant and let me tell you the prices just hit the roof, stopped over after a baseball game and we had one baby steak burrito, a total of 8 tacos 4 steak, 2 carnitas and 2 shrimp tacos. 2 large horchatas, 1 Mexican coke the big one and two margaritas and I left 35% tip and I was hit with $181.00, oh wait and a medium guacamole and chips. The steak tacos were salty my carnitas tacos salty and dry, my son burrito was ok not like other times and the shrimp tacos omg they shouldn't sell shrimp tacos. Service change probably after they seen how much tip I left. Oh and then I decided to check my receipt because while I was eating I was still thinking why $181 for just this and yes I was charge for 8 extra tacos that the people in front of me order. So my daughter didn't like the shrimp tacos so I order we two extra tacos and I order my self a chile relleno taco....oh my god $8.50 for a small chile taco cheese what cheese. These burritos are no joke! They're large and in charge and packed with flavor. I would be highly impressed to see someone fit this beast in their mouth for a bite with everything in it. Would be very, very impressed. The meat was so flavorful, juicy and tender, the oils were just oozing into all the other components. It was delicious. I appreciated the ratio of rice to lettuce to meat as it was all pretty equal. The burrito is then pressed on the grill for a nice crunch on the tortilla. So good. Highly recommend. I had the regular burrito (this thing is MASSIVE!), and if you get this and somehow manage to fit most of it in your stomach, be prepared to wear your comfy pants for a few hours afterwards and enter into a food coma. The burrito is amazing and prepared fresh but it is a commitment. Instead of going alone, consider partnering with a buddy for the burrito or planning to save half for later. If you're a local, they do also have a small grocery selection in addition to their prepared meals, kind of like a bodega style selection. I had two steak tacos and 1 pastor taco that comes with Onions and Cilantro, and I added cheese and sour cream. Wow!!! What a burst of flavors. The steak and the Pastor were very well seasoned and full of flavor. The cheese they use is so good. I really like the atmosphere here. They've managed to maintain the "supermarket" feel, and the restrooms are clean, which is important to me. It seems like a well-kept place. The service was okay. It was a bit confusing to figure out where to place a takeout order, but I'm guessing dining in would be a different experience.
