Great place to eat Gorditas are served fast in a good timely matter and taste good also they had a recent price increased fyi do to the ingredients going up in price so just letting you guys know it's not too much between 50 cents and a dollar or so. Gorditas are decent size so for me 1 is fine. But come try this place for sure. read more

Amazing food even better service! Staff is extremely polite and attentive. Food is fresh and the options are endless.

Great mom & pop grocery store. Way better than going to a big store. They have quality meat, produce, and authentic Mexican products. I highly recommend it. The staff is nice & super helpful. read more

Used to love coming here but $8 for an arrachera Gordita that ended up being 90% cheese and beans is insane! Grew up coming here but not sure if I'll be back. Upping prices and slashing food quantity isn't a good look! Lovely staff always tho! read more

I have been going to this place for years! I love it! The owner is always quick to keep his customers happy. I had a mix up and he was so eager to help. I appreciated that. Try it out! The cheese pull is out of this world! read more

Great food and amazing people!!! Hard working people.always friendly and helpful.great tortas and their tacos amazingly good.

The food is amazing as well as the customer service. You must try this place if you haven't already.

Every time I fly back home to Illinois, this is my have-to-go-to spot in Chicago. My family and I have been going here for my whole life so my parents have been customers for basically 30 years now. It's one of the first spots my parents are at since they immigrated from Mexico. The fact they kept going back and then brought their children here is all you need to know. Their food is always on point, I've never been disappointed. Their salsas are so good, that one time I basically ate the whole bottle. It's real authentic Mexican antojitos. If your taqueria isn't in the back [or in this case, on the side] of a grocery store/carnecería, I'd be questionable. They play Mexican music with the telehit feel, if you know what I mean. read more

I love Aguascalientes, my family has been coming here for years! The food has always been delicious, the service is always fast and the staff is so friendly. You walk in and feel right at home, they have Mexican music playing, and you can hear and see food being prepared. This place is such a gem and I hope everyone gets a chance to come here and see for themselves! read more

best gorditas in the city! Gotta try the Dona Cuca ! Also a liquor store next door with all your needs !

I love the gorditas here. Tacos are ok. It's convenient to order on Uber eats. I'll give a more thorough review as I try more dishes in the future. read more

Just left there Cicero location. After ordering take out my order was all screwed up and they have they have the nerve to say oh well. Fuck this place over priced and never get it right. It's not the first time. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this Location yet. I usually go to the Aguascalientes on Cicero but randomly come here. I'm happy to say that both their service and food are consistent and just simply amazing delicious. Parking could be a little bit more difficult at this Location, but still worth it for their gorditas. I usually order their arrachera gorditas with cheese and beans, and their Dona Cuca gordita. Which is pork with buche. I also noticed they had mini gorditas. Don't know how long they've had those but I can barely finish 2 gorditas, so the minis might be a good alternative if you want to try another meat. I will be going to both locations still at this point. read more

The Gorditas are good. But it's not worth the hassle. The location on 26th constantly disappoints. They told me, my order would be ready in 10 min, they took over 30 min. They charge to pay with credit card. The charge for arrachera when you in fact ordered asada!? The tortas are $9? I guess. Not coming back. It's just not worth it. Gorditas are good. I give them that. read more

Mucho mucho mucho bomb @$$ carne asada. Very memorable flavor, little crunchy bits in every bite. The liter sized container of pickled carrots at the end of each table were a nice touch. Asking a local for "the best in the neighborhood" definitely did not disappoint. read more

When I first moved to Little Village a year ago, I loved this restaurant. The food was awesome an reasonably priced. Well, I went there a couple of months ago and found out they raised their prices. Nothing wrong with that considering the pandemic. But $5 for one taco? That's crazy! The a they charge you a Covid 19 fee without telling you. Either charge a Covid 19 fee or raise your prices. You can't do both!!! They lost a faithful customer trying to be slick! I haven't returned since! read more

I was OVER CHARGED AT 26th st Carniceria Aguascalientes. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I would advise anyone who shops there to watch every item when it is scanned at the register. All my items were fine till they scanned the 1.5 liter Jarrito that I bought. They charged me $1.99, so went to double check the price and sure enough it was $1.69. Told the guy that asked if I had a problem. I said yes it is $1.69 and the lady charged me $1.99. He said all of the Jarritos including( grape fruit) are 1.99. I said that's not what it says back where I picked it up from. Since he was some what rude. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS STORE EVER AGAIN. We all make mistake but since he was rude like I was crying for 30cents and he sure didn't honor what was advertised, I will give them 1 Star! Ralph read more

Worse service ever! Rude waitstaff, on top of that they have the decency to charge an additional fee when you pay with your debit or credit card, what upset me the most was that they didn't even let me know that they were charging an additional fee until they ran the card! I will be calling my bank to dispute that charge! I know for a fact that credit card companies charge their vendors 0.50 per every credit card transaction, not almost $1.50! They lost a customer and I will be telling all my friends not to ever go there!!! Save your money and go eat else where!! read more

Whoa! - Do you need a place to grab some quick food? Maybe because you are close to the airport and HAVE to eat. Well, honestly, hit this place up. The only thing was the service was a bit bad. I mean we waited in the entrance for a while before getting noticed. They sat us and got us some drinks but then we were looking for our waitress again to give her our order - again we were in a hurry. The food came out really fast after we placed our order. I had a combination 1, comes with refried beans, rice and three carne tacos. The food HIT the spot and the menu is HUGE so try finding something you can't get. read more

Hard to believe that they have low rating reviews, it could be because of the wait on the weekends that it could be a bit long. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's still the best most authentic Mexican restaurant in Chicago hands down. Even the tortillas are hand made and fresh! This restaurant makes me have high expectations for every Mexican restaurant to come and it can be hard to top. We came on a weekday and we didn't have to wait this time around. The waitress was nice and our order came fast. Don't let the reviews fool you, this is the best out there and we will continue coming back! Agua de horchata is the best too. read more

This place is heavenly. Come and order a gordita, your belly with thank you for it. They now have Mini-gordita's so that you can sample more. What a true authentic experience. Another treat is that they have pickled peppers and carrots on the table so that you can add these vinegar delights to your meal. What a beautiful pairing combination. Also get and Horchata to wash it all down! What an amazing rice drink. I have been coming to this place since I was a kid and I will be going back! read more

I heard really good things about this restaurant but I came here and am highly disappointed, the tacos were dry and the tortillas were hard. Limones don't come with pickup orders like what sense does that make?? I spent $40 here and I can't get some simple limones!! Do better but I won't be back again. read more

I have been eating in this restaurant for almost my entire life and I would like to say that the gorditas that most reviewers have commented about are not good as they used to be. Unfortunately, new people have been preparing them and these people have not made it good. However, I recommend in getting tacos and coffee at this place. The tacos are yummy! And the servers add cinnamon to the coffee which gives the coffee a delicious flavor. Also, hope that there are still sweet breads available. The restaurant gives a sweet bread free when you order their coffee and dine-in. read more

Some of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I have been to have been part of a grocery store and "Aguas" is no exception. Ambiance: Weekends can get pretty busy. It is a seat yourself place. They have a parking lot but fills up quickly. Wait staff have always been pleasant, good for practicing your Spanish. Food: I come here for the gorditas nom nom. Carne asada are tried and true, but if you ate feeling frisky try the adobo or chicharrón ones. Their gorditas and tortillas ate hand made and the kitchen is in plain sight My go to place for gorditas read more

Ordered 3 taco salads, shell was burnt and aguacate in it was black and hard. I called and spoke to manager who stated that they arent supposed to waste or throw away food! I repeated aguacate was hard and black and she replied with yeah that doesn't make it spoiled! Seriously?! , not an apology not an offer to remake order. Never again read more

The gorditas are delicious. Worth a trip to 26th to eat them. We especially love the bean and cheese gorditas.

So I have eaten here before and have been buying from this place ( never again) . when I purchased a drink a simple Mexican drink. It's cost. 5 dollars WTF!!!!! Since when does a jarrito? Cost 5 dollars? I actually should have purchased at the store. because they know they scam you. They won't allow u to buy a drink from literally the same place next door same name same owners same facility. Absolutely a scam 5 dollars for a jarrito is a straight up scam!!!! Smfh. read more

Fernanda (waitress) was GREAT. As a vegetarian, and a fussy eater, she allowed me to try items before I ordered. She was attentive and very respectful. I was the ONLY black person in this restaurant/grocery store. It's huge. The name on this Yelp is not exactly the name of the restaurant. So I hope this review gets to the right place. Good employees should be recognized. I'll be back!!!! read more

Food is average, nothing special but my reasoning for this 1 star review is because of their hidden fees. For every single item you ask for bistec or carne asada they will automatically bill you as if you ordered arrachera, which is more expensive. They won't let you but they will card you as such. I caught it on my receipt & I asked them about it, she said they have an outdated menu. So the menu reflects a lower price but they bill you higher so be careful, bunch of scammers. read more
