I came in here looking for a simple bike repair that was supposed to take 1 week. After over a week I called (they were supposed to call me) and they said they didn't have the part. They then outlined my options, and the quickest option was a much more expensive part. I opted for that option because I needed my bike back. A 100$ repair became 300$. When I finally picked up my bike 1 month later, it wasn't even totally fixed. I had to take the bike back into the shop so they could fix a break which was sticking. This is a wildly overpriced bike shop with unprofessional service. Avoid at all cost! This place has generally friendly staff. However, they will try to gouge you at every opportunity. When I brought my bike in to check my squeaky pedals, they tried to get my to leave my bike for a tuneup. When that failed, they took my bike into the back, sprayed something in around the pedals, and charged me $6 for the service. I didn't realise they wanted me to pay this until I bought a can of Teflon lubricant, which tidy assured me wasn't as good as their spray. They're crooks. read more

The service is excellent. I had a last minute emergency because I was leaving the next day for a competition, and they took me right away, and fixed everything in less than 20 minutes. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend! read more

They gave me an appointment to repair my brakes on my bike. When I showed up, they said they could get to it in another 5 days. Went to another repair place a friend suggested and had my brake repaired in a 1/2 hour. Sorry, but this is not the first time I have been screwed by them. read more

My 11 year old son outgrew his DMX bike, so I brought it to Martin Swiss and asked if they would donate it if I left it with them. Then, my son selected a brand new bike that he planned to ride that day. We bought a new helmet, he was excited and ready to ride! We were told to come back in 25-30 minutes because the bike needed to be set up...? OK, so we only live 2 mins from the shop so we left and came back at 5:35 pm. They were closed, he probably should have told us to come back in 15 minutes considering I bought the bike after 5 pm and had no idea when they closed. My son was totally disappointed, so I went back today to let them know that wasn't the nicest thing to do. The owner was very apologetic and the next time we came in to the store, he took very good care of us. While my son was practicing on his new bike (that he loves!), we ran into Phil who wrks at the store. He gave him some valuable tips and offered for him to come to the store for 30 mins so that he could help him out. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness. That turned what started out as a bad experience around...a few kind words go a LONG ways! read more

It's been 3 to 5 years since I brought my bike in for service at this establishment, but I'm still feeling the ill effects of that unfortunate decision. I was having regular problems with the rear wheel on my Trek 800, so I had Martin Swiss set me up with a new wheel. When I picked up my bike I found they had installed a solid axle wheel instead of a quick release one that is standard with that model. Now I cannot transport my bike in a trunk of a car or fix a jammed chain without a bloody wrench. Thank you Martin Swiss for removing one of my favourite features of my bike without my permission. I'm still bitter at this business and advise all customers to be weary of them. read more

Best bicycle shop I have come across. Unlike other bike shops, they listen to your problems, look at your bike and sell/fix exactly what you need. EVERY other bike shop I've been too semi-listen, make you feel sort of stupid, then sell you the most expensive thing in the shop. You can trust the guys at Martin Swiss. I have a fat bike/Ebike. First time I went in both of my brakes gave out while I was heading to the chiropractor. I hit a tree. I looked up the closest bike shop. When I got there they were locking up, I was hurt & crying. They opened the shop and fixed my brakes for free. Later I went in and they put on new brake pads and fixed my brakes. It was way cheaper than I thought it would be! my brakes are still perfect to this day. A couple weeks ago I got a nail in my tire. My bike tire is rare. They spent a very long time searching for the tire. Any other bike shop would just say, no we don't have it in stock. They found it, ordered it in, and fixed it in less than a week. The price was exactly what I thought it would be. completely fair. They're nice guys, never make you feel stupid and actually take the time to look at your bike and figure out what's wrong with it and sell/fix exactly what you need read more

Careful attention for serious cyclists; excellent shop work. While their prices are high, they're by no means higher or lower than most other independent bike shops. They cary a wide range of practical products and a fair number of high end ones. They solved a problem on a mid-range bike (Carbon/Ultegra) that the shop I bought it from couldn't figure out for a year. The bike came back to me better (seriously - better) than when it was new. Owner called to follow-up on the service. After really thinking about it, I felt like I got what I paid for here and will go back. read more

Awful unpleasant unprofessional and pretty disgusting people. You come out feeling dirty, like you've dealt with some crooks and done a bad thing. I think it's mostly the shop manager, that guy has serious fomo, and he doesn't know as much as he thinks he knows. As a result he makes stuff up and tries to bury his mistakes. I've seen him snap at customers asking genuine questions, send a customer to another shop "any shop, just somewhere else" because he didn't know what the customer wanted (he just wanted trouser clips, which were on the wall infront of him). He also took a bike off a lady who brought it in bc the front brake wasn't working. Only the v brake noodle needed connecting up, but he barked at her that it needed a full service and immediately threw it in the back and was like "bye.". Such a horrible person. Really don't get how these people are still in business. I bought a 6 grand bike from them. Next day called to ask for a $300 dropper, he wouldn't order it unless I went to the shop and paid a frigging deposit. I get it for most customers, but come on man. read more
