The classes are inviting, and they do a great job of finding the sweet spot between pushing you and pushing you too far; while you WILL be encouraged to get out of your comfort zone, they listen when you say you're at your limit. Also, it's a GREAT workout, a fun hobby and sport, but it doesn't bother you with nonsense like teams and points.
