Been coming here for a long time, since it opened We always make it there when we visit the area Today we had lunch, coffee very good I ordered a Reuben it was good less meat than usually Then here lies the problem my wife is gluten free She ordered her Chicken Salad plate and takes a small spoonful and says it's awful sweet and stops eating well that never bothers me so I try it really sweet nothing like it's ever been the waitress comes back and says it's the original recipe but something was wrong with it no complaint by us no I'm sorry by any of the staff paid full price left chicken salad just left untouched By the way place was kinda empty at noon Sorry Martha this is not your place anymore the new owners should change the name read more

As always amazing!!!! I come to Martha's almost daily and it's better than ever. Out of the 6 different salads, I have never found one that I did not enjoy and the home made bread is the best! I'm more than little puzzled by a couple of other reviews, I know for a fact that the owner is always in house and personally takes care of any complaint. read more

Today (Thursday) I went back had the chicken dumplings (***** stars) some more cornbread dressing (not on the menu today, but I am special like that) and the turnip greens (**** stars) Tomorrow they have shrimp spaghetti and garlic bread but Monday is fried chicken and Saturday is BBQ!!! The waitress is a beautiful and pleasant young lady from the the Dominican Republic whose mere presence is refreshing in an area where everyone (except for myself) is either white or black. If you are not looking for a heavy lunch or are in the mood for breakfast they are open ahd have .appetizers, sandwiches, and salads, on the menu. At some point I genuinely started wondering whether the restaurant had recently been looted or whether we had accidentally arrived during the final hours before foreclosure. Carbonated water? Nope. Bloody Mary? Bold of you to assume a bar should know how to make one. Mimosa? Apparently you'll need to get your ass back in the car, drive somewhere that maintains a working relationship with both fruit juice AND champagne, and try again. The bar itself appears to be partially stocked, which somehow makes it worse. It's like looking into a pantry after a hurricane. There are technically objects in there. Whether any of them can be combined into a recognizable beverage remains under investigation. And then there's the customer service. Sweet baby Jesus. The overall atmosphere feels less like brunch and more like I accidentally walked into the middle of a workplace dispute nobody bothered to warn the customers about. Nobody appears to be wearing the same uniform, or possibly any uniform at all, so identifying actual employees becomes its own interactive brunch activity. Last time we came in, a woman in a tracksuit approached us with such confidence that I genuinely had no idea whether she worked there, was another customer, or was about to ask us why we were sitting in her section of Planet Fitness. Turns out it was her first day as the hostess. Of course it was. Honestly, at this point, if someone walked out of the kitchen wearing pajama pants, carrying jumper cables, and announced they were the executive chef, I'd just nod and ask whether the ketchup had arrived yet. Nothing about the place feels coordinated. The drinks aren't coordinated. The staff isn't coordinated. The inventory isn't coordinated. I'm not entirely sure the building itself has been informed that it is currently operating as a restaurant. You don't come here for brunch. You come here for an experience. An experience that begins with, "Surely they have coffee," progresses rapidly into, "How are you out of THAT too?" and ends with you sitting in your car afterward staring silently through the windshield while your passenger whispers: "Let's go to Waffle House" Come hungry.
