I am a very discerning consumer about my, and my family's, medical care. I'll research high and low for the right doctor. I've found the absolute right PCP in Dr. Long. You truly won't find a more thorough, intelligent, compassionate, or caring PCP anywhere in Northern Virginia. He has complete knowledge of, and will discuss with you at length, any current research and/or studies re your particular medical issue. He's very funny, too, which is welcome icing on the cake! :D Additionally, he's available via email. I caretake my mom at home, and there have been many times I've had to email Dr. Long about her condition(s). He always responds in a timely manner, and, sometimes, late at night. What doctor does that in 2016? Do not hesitate to see Dr. Long...especially if you're smart and like to take an active role in your healthcare. They do not return messages in a timely fashion. The front desk staff are almost always flustered, seem to be constantly bickering, and have little sympathy for why you might be running 5 minutes late (but you'll wait 30+ minutes for your appt.). During this 2 weeks I sent doctor Mathur emails to keep her updated so, I could be treated immediately when I returned. So, Dr,. Mathur took off January 29 and is never in the office on Mondays and works only a half a day on Fridays. I limped home and arrived in the United States on January 28, 2026, and On January 29, 2026, Dr. Mathur informed me that she taking the day off on January 30. Yes, she really did. After 2 weeks of emails she tells me the day before I needed to see her, that she was taking the day off. For the second time during my short concierge period, she referred me to another doctor. Unprofessional and lack of concern for my well-being. I canceled my agreement with the office.

The answer I always give is the staff, nurses and especially the few Doctors who have taken care of me during my 24+ year association with GIMG, now part of INOVA. Juliette Singh was there at the beginning and so was Dr Fender (who has since retired) and Dr Goyal. Not sure of anymore. Dr Fender was an amazing Doctor for the years I spent as a patient, along with his primary nurse. He as detailed, focused, spent time listening (and lecturing) and a doctor who would reach out and call you at home to discuss a reading or question if you were taking medication as prescribed. Qualities that reminded me of my Father who was the first US educated Doctor who returned to his home country of Guyana. When Dr Fender left (when GIMG stopped being a private group and taken over by INOVA) , he told me (probably confidentially so sorry Dr Fender) that if I wanted a replacement Doctor like him, switch over to Dr Goyal. It took me being lazy for a couple of years before I switched and since that time, I was fortunate that writing of an issue to another of the medical staff, my note was intercepted by Dr Goyal and a test ordered which indicated a serious enough life changing condition. She is extremely thorough and professional and has called me at home several times like Dr Fender to counsel, advise, lecture as well as provide guidance. When she leaves, given that I have no other such experience with a full time doctor (the PAs and NPs are great) I will finally exit to a group in Ashburn where we live. The staff work as a team. Case in point 2 weeks ago I experienced another issue and Ms. Singh found me a slot with Dr Goyal who, probably more to allay my concerns, ordered a test and Olga at the front desk worked her magic to get me to Radiology the same day (its not the first time she has done this). All the front desk, back office nurses like Robert, Bunry and others are excellent. I am fortunate that GIMG has taken such good care of me over the years and well worth the 45 minutes to an hour it takes me to get there.

I got there around 8:30 AM (they opened at 8 AM). I signed in and sat down for maybe 5 minutes before I was seen by Dr. Brittany A. She was extremely polite, friendly and diagnosed me with a Sinus infection and gave me the Z-Pack. A week or so went by and I was feeling a bit better, but nowhere near 100%. On Saturday, I began feeling worse, and had a fever and shortness of breath. My wife drove me back to the Urgent Care on Sunday AM and I was seen immediately. The receptionist (I believe her name was Sarah), took me to get a chest X-ray and to make sure it wasn't a serious matter. She was very polite and made me feel comfortable during the exam. She brought me and my wife into an exam room and waited only a few minutes to been seen by the Physician. Again, I saw Dr. Brittany A., who advised me there was some fluid in my lungs and would treat me for pneumonia. She put me on a breathing machine for approximately 10-15 minutes, which helped me with my breather. Dr. Brittany discharged me with a stronger antibiotic and albuterol (inhaler). Dr. Brittany was again, extremely polite, courteous, professional and really cared about my health. I began feeling better after about five days. Because of the way she treated me (and my wife), I will continue to visit this Urgent Care when I get sick. I am giving this review a 4 not a 5 because one of the assistants was not as personable and kind and caring as the two women mentioned above. Thank you.

Take the stairs up to get to the entrance of the Urgent Care Center. The other way to find a place is to park in the garage and then walk around on the outside of the garage to find the stairs that lead to the entrance of the Urgent Care center. There are signs on the walls that will indicate the Urgent Care Center. Cons: First, they give you forms that are copied from an original that was obviously highlighted so you can't see some of the words. I don't understand why they can't get a clean copy of the forms. Second, the forms are outdated and do not have a lot of room for you to write your medical history, medications, etc. Third, the medical assistant needs more tact in communication. She opened the door and pointed in my direction, but I was sitting around a group of people, so it wasn't clear who she was pointing to. She should have announced the last name of the person. It's rude to point fingers at people. I tried to clarify if she was asking for me to come up, and then, she says yes you. She has very poor communication skills. She does not greet you at all. She doesn't explain the process or what to do after the visit is over. I have managed medical clinics, so I know what I am talking about. Pros: The receptionist seemed proficient. The place is clean and seems organized. The wait is usually not that long, but you can always call ahead to see how long the wait is. The physician assistant seemed proficient and was friendly. As with any medical visit, always call ahead to confirm if they take your insurance and bring your ID and insurance card(s), a list of your current medications, medical conditions/history, and other names of your other doctors to make it easier. I would visit them again to give them another chance if I ever needed Urgent Care again. I hope they use this feedback to improve.

I only learned about this on the same morning as I was supposed to come in for a pre surgical clearance appt. I was about to leave my house when I got a call stating I would have to pay for service received for the past 6 months plus the day of the appt if I wanted info sent to my surgeon. I couldn't afford this. It was the last straw for me. There were several other concerns I had over the past two years I overlooked, which I shouldn't have. Other concerns include rude receptionist, lack of access to blood test and other results, his unwillingness to write orders for me to have a glucometer, (he suggested I should buy over the counter). Because I'm diabetic, my insurance covers this cost. I kept my insurance coverage from my previous job in addition to having Medicare. Luckily, my surgeon's office is associated with the hospital. The scheduler was able to get me in for this before my surgical procedure.

This was my first time at this location. I was in the area for some appointments and needed to see…read moresomeone in a pinch, and this location had times available that worked with my schedule. Parking was probably the hardest part at this location, as I'm used to going to Reston or Tysons Corner, where parking is very close to the office. Once I found parking in a lot about a quarter-mile away and walked to the office, I realized I couldn't get in without pushing an intercom button. Again, not something I was used to at the other offices that I've been to. But once I got inside, checked in, and let them know that I was trying to get lab work before my visits, they took care of signing me in for both and getting me set up. The lab tech took me back shortly after, and it was someone I knew from the Reston office. After finishing with the lab tech, the nurse practitioner quickly called me back, took care of the reason I was seeing her, and had me quickly on my way to my next appointment. I can't say enough about One Medical as a practice, and I highly recommend you give them a try if you need primary care or a new doctor.

They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. I am so glad that Amazon has purchased the company to make this type of quality health care more accessible for all.
