Went to have alterations done on 3 dresses. Very pricey. The dresses came back with stains which delayed their return date. Had to wait an extra day so that they can clean the brand new dresses. read more

They lost my dress shirt that I urgently needed for a special event. Consequently, I was forced to buy a new dress shirt. When I returned, and still, they could not find my shirt, I asked them to pay for the shirt that I was forced to purchase. It was only about $40. The owner gave me the runaround and I was never compensated. Promised to call me back, but never called. Asked me to return and speak with him, he never showed up. Absolute TERRIBLE owner (AJ is his name). He is a thief and a liar. PLEASE stay away from this place! They do not deserve to remain in business. read more

I am a regular client of this place. I took my 4 suits there. They pressed on of my blazer wrong. I took it back to get it fixed to hear that they need to charge me for that. They accepted they did it wrong but need to still charge me additional. Charging you double for the wrong work you did? I was in impression I would be compensated but it was the other way. They ruined some of the buttons on my shirts and even tore some of them completely off. I brought the shirts back to try and get them to at least fix the buttons or have them pay to have the buttons fixed but they denied any wrongdoing and wouldn't help. Brought my dress shirts & coats here for the first time in years. Whatever chemical or fragrance they used to clean my clothing was so strong that it gave my family allergic reactions. We were sneezing & I could literally taste the fragrance in the air. I've resorted to leaving the clothes outside or in the garage to air out. The clothes also smelled "funky". Like whatever machines are being used aren't very clean. Also, I've tried washing & soaking my clothing in vinegar & baking soda and the clothes still stink. When I tried washing some of my shirts, the fragrance transferred over to my other clothes, so who knows what type of chemicals they're using over there. I didn't bother taking back the clothes or even complaining at this point, not much can be done. I paid over $200 for my clothes to be ruined. Would not go back here. Buyer beware! read more

Prices are too high. Service has a quick turnaround but very expensive. Also cleaning is the same as other dry cleaning places. They do not provide plastic collar supports for the top/ tie button on shirts. This leaves a bend in the top button. read more

This store and their partner store Classique Cleaners are owned and operated by snakes. My 1996 rookie year yellow #8 Kobe Bryant Jersey was stolen after I dropped off my dry cleaning on 4/6/2025. The jersey is valued at nearly 400$. Owner AJ strung me along, would not return my phone calls or text messages, and played games for over a month before explaining that he would only pay for up to 10x the service price. My receipt had the cost of the jersey as 8.95; however, AJ related he would only give me 50$, not even the 89.50 for 10x the service price. What a joke. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Be aware that when you bring your clothes to Martells, which is run by different owners, they do not have the same standards. If a button falls off or a pull tag comes off a jacket, you are responsible. They have no responsibility. If you leave them a note or message to call you they won't... it won't happen. They can't even do that. They don't do anything but over charge for dry cleaning and under pay their employees. Those girls have been there a long time, they are over worked, under paid, and the owner only comes in to collect his money. He is the worst. read more

DO NOT EVER consider this place!!! Even one "*" is too high for this place, if "0" or negative can be given. I paid $11.50 (which is almost double than other places) for the dry cleaning of one upper garment, and the garment was ruined when I picked up. The buttons of the left sleeve were completely gone, and the fabric of the left sleeve close to the shoulder was torn. When I tried to find the resolution to this problem, instead of getting the issue fixed, I, the customer, was blamed for all the problems. Without any sincerity trying to amend the incident, the arrogant manager was doing anything he could to send me out of the door. After I insisted talking to the owner, I was told the owner will be calling me the following week. Now it's been more than a month, but I haven't heard anything from anyone from the store. Not only my precious suit is damaged, I also wasted $11.50 for their unscrupulous service. read more

My family has been coming here for 15+ years. They lost us as a customer today, unfortunately. They damaged my jacket. In the previous visit they almost damaged my pants but I was able to fix it myself. I simply asked that I shouldn't pay for the jacket cleaning and the workers said the owner refused. When I asked to speak to the owner he refused to get on the phone with me and the workers told me to come back at specific time to talk to him. The previous owners were fantastic. A great dry cleaners. They do same day service and I love how friendly they are. The prices are very reasonable and my clothes always come out very nicely done. They even altered my wife's dress and it fit perfectly. They also cleaned my Indian clothes so now I don't have to take it to India to get it cleaned. I have been a loyal customer for about 2 years since moving into the area. I have one white queen sized feather comforter I have dry cleaned here for the last 2 years several times and was charged $35 dollars the first time and $45 the rest of the times (this was confirmed by the employee on their POS system). I went to drop off the same comforter but the bill was going to be $75. That's almost double the price. The employee checked her POS system confirmed I have payed $45 the last several times I took the same comforter and offered to call the owner. I asked her to please do so since I've been dropping off the same comforter for years. She called and the owner said he cannot value the price he has been giving me for years. He offered a price of $60 and said the rest of the time it would be $75. I was in disbelief considering their own POS system confirmed how long I've been dropping off the same comforter at $45. Definitely not paying $75. It's literally cheaper for me to buy a new comforter instead of getting it cleaned. Definitely lost my business and earned a bad review from a local. UPDATE: I went down the street in Norwalk and payed $28 instead of $75. read more

Terrible Terrible Terrible, beyond terrible customer service. Don't even wanna give one star. The owner specifically said "he can fix my dress" that was dried out because I put it in a dryer. Then it was still the same. I walked in asked for a refund and the guy said there is NO way he can give refunds. Did not even explain why and say sorry. Then I asked to redo my jacket (all the stains are STILL there, all of my food stains that I PAID and asked to erase were ALL there. And the owner said they are NOT redoing my jacket. This is not the first time, they literally think of customer as just MONEY and they do not even try a bit to satisfy the customer. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE horrible. read more

Let me start by saying that this place was great under the previous ownership. Glenn was an excellent onsite manager and there was seldom, if any, problems with the quality of work. I just spent 60.00 on dry cleaning today and when I got my suit home I noticed that one side was folded outward to the point you could see the lining. I thought that was odd and put it on another hanger and hung it up to get a better look at it. It appeared that the right side had not been pressed at all. So I immediately returned to Martell's to show them the mistake in workmanship and asked them to press it again while I waited. The lady at the counter begins deflecting and tells me that the staff that does the pressing has left and this will be a tomorrow's problem. I say ok and give her the jacket expecting her to give me a ticket for a simple repressing. Then she suggests that I button the jacket and hang it up until the situation corrects itself as she is worried about creasing the lapels. I point out that the left side is laying correctly and that lapel is fine because it has actually been pressed. She insists that I fold it a certain way and allow gravity to press the suit or hang it in my closet for 24 hours so that elves can press it overnight or lay a telephone book on it. She was suggesting home remedies while I was WASTING MY TIME expecting this new owner's staff to do anything but count cash. I told her thank you for your time, I will find a new dry cleaner. How are you more expensive for shoddy work and the worst customer service?? All she had to do was say "We will fix it pick it up tomorrow". But instead she wants me to use gravity to press my own suit! From now on I will do my dry cleaning in Cerritos. What a crazy way to end a long day. read more

My usual dry cleaner is in Long Beach by my gym. Unfortunately I had surgery and during recovery I couldn't workout so I needed to find a dry cleaner near my house. My husband hated Martell's cleaner. His dress shirts always came back with the collar smashed. At first I didn't understand what he was saying but now that I'm back with my old cleaner in Long Beach now I can see the difference. The staff is not friendly and I am so glad to be back at my old cleaners and so is my husband. I never saw a smile on their face and I went to Martell's once a week for 2 months. WARNING: they outsource the laundering (not the dry cleaning). The launders somehow managed to STAIN my dress shirt, ruining it (see pic). It was a $100 made to measure shirt that I'd worn about 5 or 6 times. They offered me $20 in compensation... thanks! FYI I had a picture of the stained shirt and yelp removed it. Small local cleaner in Artesia. Their prices have always been reasonable and my clothes have always been ready in the timeline promised. I just brought in a blouse with dreaded ball-pen ink stains and they marked it with tape for special attention. Miraculously the stains were completely removed when I picked up my blouse the next day. Nice, convenient local cleaners that we will continue to use. Oh, and they also have an overnight drop box to leave clothes to launder when they are closed so they can start on them the next day! read more

Brought in a mink coat from my grandmother. Workers here told me it was real and required higher price to dry clean. They also offered to stitch up some of the holes on the inner liner for an additional $20. Came back 1 week later to the jacket looking exactly the same, in all the hole-y glory and smell of old untouched clothing from granny. Total was $80. Will not be coming here again. read more

It's unfortunate that I've lost a dry cleaner I often go to but this pretty much takes the cake. Dropped of 7 Supreme box logo t-shirts (these are not cheap), and came back to find that one of them is severely damaged. Unfortunately they did not know how to treat a 4 year old t-shirt. One of two things could have happened: 1. Your solution contained perchlroethylene which causes the print on t-shirts to be faded, white stained, or damaged. 2. The shirts were left unattended and too long in the dryer process. When I mentioned the damage to the staff, there was four employees who came over and took a look. This was after I paid the $3.00 per shirt price ($21.00 in total). They all mumbled to each other, asking what to do, and how to proceed. After all of this, the owner steps out and says to the employees directly, "Tell him we're not taking these shirts anymore," and proceeds to walk off without any regard to service whatsoever. I mention to them the value of the shirt (it's reselling on eBay for about $1,275 brand new), and waited for some sort of apology or response. The employee who rang me up had a look of confusion, didn't garner any response and said I can't do anything about it. Nonetheless, I will never be coming back here based on their quality or customer service. read more
