Terrible customer service. There is no one on the floor to help customers with questions. I have walked the entire floor to find one person who was unable to leave her post. Her best advice was to keep walking around. I eventually called the store to ask for help and see if there was anyone that could meet me the kitchen section. Their response was everything they have on the floor is all they have. That wasn't even my question, but OK, cool. 6/13/22 on this day had an unsatisfying customer experience at the register.Was buying two of the exact same kitchen floor mats not knowing that they had different prices one $16.99 and the other $19.99. Cashier asked for a price override from manager. Manager Adriana decided to rip the tag of 16.99 on the exact same mat in-front of us then proceeded to tell us she wouldn't honor the price. I currently as a manager in retail would never accuse a customer of tampering prices especially when it was employees part to double check pricing before placing product on sales floor.It was only a three dollar difference but it was about the principle and with the experience Adriana gave us we decide against the purchase. read more

WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible customer service! This store is a Marshalls/homegoods so I thought that I could return something that I bought from homegoods here. Nope. You can ONLY return stuff that is bought at a marshalls/homegoods or they'll refuse it. You can't return something you bought at a marshalls, homegoods, TJmaxx/homegoods, etc. I also bought new foundation and tried to return it (unused) but they refused it. They said their store they just don't return even though the store I bought it at they didn't mention anything about that being TJmaxx's policy. Poor customer service. Thank you for the great customer service Paola & the lead cashier. This Marshalls is my go-to store. I've never had any issues with the store employees and everyone is friendly. Marshalls always has great deals for a very low price. I believe she was a lead cashier (I didn't get her name), but she really went above & beyond to make sure this incident would not happen again.. so thank you!!! Unlike the Marshalls at Ontario Mills, I had never previously gone to a Marshalls that did not check the sizes of the shoes prior to scanning them. I was so confident that both shoe sizes were in the same box, but I was wrong once I had gotten home. So, I came by to my closest Marshalls & exchanged them. The lead cashier said they typically would not exchange them due to the other Marshalls having the shoes in stock, but made an exception. I explained to her how I had spoken to a cashier at the Ontario Mills location & gave me the ok to return them, but she explained to me that that's not how it works. So, she made sure that she would contact the Ontario Mills Marshalls so make sure this incident does not occur again. read more

Avoid! Similar experience to others. Cannot return items bought from another TJMaxx/HomeGoods location. Let me repeat that...You cannot return items that you purchased from HomeGoods, to a HomeGoods store!?! Customer service is poor with their selection of items matching the service, also poor. Was looking for some last minute costume ideas but there was nothing of the sort available. Big selection, not super organized but that's to be expected. Cashier was actually very nice and helpful. Door/cart monitor was rude and condescending. She's a bit older in age with a bob, told us rudely carts can't leave and as we were trying to get our items out of the cart while holding a toddler, she kept pulling the cart from us like we were still going to take it. As I have said before, a three-star A-OK rating is not a bad thing. To me, the three-star rating means the business is adequate but not spectacular. The business provides a service or product that is average quality and price. Marshall's does just that. There are a few things here that are worth looking at and buying, but I won't do a whole lot of shopping here. The positives: kid's shoes and clothing, toys, and men's workout clothing are all worth a look for me. The workout clothes are last year's styles, but they are functional and considerably less expensive than sporting goods stores. Kid's stuff and toys are hit or miss. Also, you can sometimes find cell phone covers and home goods here for cheap. The lows: for me, the men's clothing is cheap and kind of weird. Then again, this is a seconds and out of date store, so that makes sense. I don't really even look at the men's street clothing. The store is kind of disorganized. Sizes are not where they should be so if your size is not where it should be, look in other size areas. Also, the store has no real atmosphere. It is functional and definitely not fancy. I won't opine on the women's clothing but my wife does find a thing or two here occasionally. read more

Had I known that after checking out with a full cart with two toddlers in tow that the cart would lock after taking a step out the door, I never would have shopped here. Why offer a cart in the store and then not let you get to your car with it? If you have trouble with people stealing, have it lock at the edge of the parking lot, not the store door. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If it was up to me, I would give this store negative stars. I could hardly hear when the cashier called me to her register, as I approached her I asked her what register I should go to as she was wandering behind the counter, her response was "this one" as she rolled her eyes at me. I've been going to this location for over a decade. Yes, a decade. I even got to know the really nice cashiers who have divulged with me that they receive their new shipments on Thursdays each week. This store is always very well organized and clean. I love shopping period but, shopping at a place like this with deep discounted prices is even more better! I always find: -Shoes. This is a very well stocked and well staffed Marshalls. As with most Marshalls, it can be hit or miss. This is definitely a more hit than miss. Called in spoke with Clint and he was so helpful to pull 3 different shoes for us in the front and was in and out in no time. Great location- thought customer service was improving. But I was wrong. But an item on clearance. My receipt was damaged. But still clearly showed the item from less than three days ago. They said they do not return clearance items without a receipt. They are erased From the system once sold. Seriously? So because my receipt was not scannable. I had no receipt and could not return the item. It really wasn't on the system. I made them scan it to prove it. What a weird new policy. I don't care how convenient the location is. So bad. If you are lucky enough they will accept your returns, but if they don't like you (just so) or they are having bad day/mood they will not accept it and will find so many reasons why. Make sure just make drama and give them hard times, in this case your mission will be successful. It's always suck a mess! They have like 5 associates working on the floor (doing their go backs and cleaning, not even willing to help you) and 3 people upfront. They are always understaff, you can never find someone to help you, if you 'catch' an employee they will take for ever to get back to you with an answer 'no, we don't have it'. Sometime they would act like they are calling other stores to see if they have an item, after 15 mins of waiting the answer is going to be 'no'. But I have went to the store in Costa Mesa and they had few (my) sizes of the shoes I wanted. Oh, and when you want to speak to a manager they will give you her business card (with the store phone number) even tho the store manager is in the store. I love this place. It is a total cluster-duck. Although they try to keep it in line, it's a total mess. BUT they have the best stuff! I often go here for picture frames, and end up finding 10 other things that I want. I don't dive into the clothes that often. But, I have found some good stuff. This is a great place for home decor - little stuff to put around the house like candles, pillows, rugs, dog beds etc. And the price is always right! I've always been a fan of Marshall's. Generally you can get some really nice pieces of clothing here for cheap. The only problem is that it's all last years stuff, but who cares about being on the tip of fashion? My mom used to take me here quite often "for me" but then I'd end up waiting an hour or more "for her" while she shopped. The couple things I didn't like about the place was that they had those RANDOM-BINS-OF-CRAP in the isles that made it hard to navigate in crowds, and the stuff in them were always little nick-nacky crap. The other thing was that they used the "feeder line" concept which drives me insane. Just a personal issue, I promise it's not contagious. I'm in Maryland now and I miss Marshall's, but now I shop at Kohl's because I have a couple more dollars in my wallet now a days. read more

It's a shame when the store manager violates company policy by purchasing highly sought after merchandise then resells it for inflated prices online. It's no wonder none of the product can be found in this store at any time when the employees are up to these shenanigans. I'm sure after enough complaints there will be an investigation. The store was very clean, employees out on the floor were nice, and I was set up to give a 5 Star review. Until, I got up to the register. I had a couple of returns with a gift receipt and a couple that I guess were not on the receipt. I was understanding and patient about the return policy's, but the employee was not nice at all. She acted like me being in the store was such an inconvenience to her. She told me I could only get store credit for current prices of the items & I said "okay that works for me" and she rolled her eyes. I came in on a Saturday afternoon to make a return (with receipt). I looked through the store and tried on a pair of pants (which I ended up buying). The dressing rooms are dirty with empty hangers everywhere and on the floor. The dressing room is disgusting. The cashier who helped me today had major attitude and an unfriendly tone from the beginning of my transaction. Sorry that you have to work on a Sat while I get to shop. I told him that I had a return and asked him to Check two items on sale. I know mark downs are done every so often so I always ask the cashier to check the mark down tags before ringing up the items. When I asked him to do this, his response was so rude and reacted as if I had inconvenienced him. He's the brunette (possibly Hispanic), skinny employee who shouldn't be in customer service. You are the employee and you get paid to help your customer. He confirmed that there were no further mark downs. It took him two minutes to verify this and yet he made my experience horrible. I don't even know how he managed to ring up my purchase with all the clutter and clothes and crap in his station. He is not an example of a quality employee who cares about his job. He needs to be put in the stock room, away from customer interaction. Secondly, he started my return and said he would put it on a store credit card. I had the receipt and asked why I couldn't apply that amount towards my purchase versus putting it on a card. He said that I didn't tell him to do it at the beginning. That is an absolute lie. I responded that I now have to pay when I could have used this credit. I am going to return these items at another Marshalls because this employee was so rude and marshalls doesn't deserve my business. I also completed their on line survey explaining my experience. I have never had such a bad experience at a Marshalls before. No wonder this store has receive negative reviews. I won't be coming back to this location. read more

Extremely horrible customer service! Employee was rude and had no idea how to deliver good customer service. I'm assuming the employee I encountered was new and judging by her attitude and rudeness, doesn't know how to treat people with decency. I made a return and the moment I reached the counter, she greeted me with attitude. When it was time to sign my receipt, she throw the pen and paper at me. Later, I came back with a new purchase, and she noticed I was back in line. She told the other employee to take my purchase because she refused to help me. I did absolutely nothing and I was appalled At how immature and disrespectful this employee was. She instantly judged me from the moment she saw me. Omg! Why haven't I came here before? I thought Marshalls was like a Ross! Heck no much better! I love it now this is my 3rd time going to Marshalls in 1 week! I found everything here I got a bomb argan oil sea salt scrub, some face mask for under eye circles and even skin tone, and a oil scent diffuser! While I wait for a customer service rep to open the door, I can see several of them just standing around, piddling and pretending to be busy. Pathetic. If they are afraid people will take clothes into the bathroom and steal them, then post a sign like ALL other retailers do that says "NO UNPAID MERCHANDISE ALLOWED IN RESTROOM". Even thought my returned items still had the original price tagged attached, I was given a very hard time trying to return my three items without a receipt. Items that I had purchased less than a week ago. The male assistant manager was not accommodating nor helpful. I was told I needed to call the manager for returns without my receipt and then he proceeded to walk away without providing me with the manager's contact information. I had to asked 3 times with two different cashiers for manager's telephone. Can not believe how unprofessional the male assistant was. I am a fan of this Marshall's. They're not as organized as they could be, but when you are saving a significant amount of money, I feel it's worth it. Marshall's has a large variety of shoes, from sandals to heels, sneakers to rain boots...The clothes are often difficult to look through and "navigate" as its all kinda stuffed together into categories: shirts, dresses, pants, active wear...If you are willing to do some digging, you can score some good finds. I often end up with a cute new purse, a pair of shoes that were just too good a price to pass up, some random stationary/candles/beverage cups, or a toy for my dog. If you are looking for ACTIVE WEAR, this is where to go! They always have name brand items for much cheaper and a lot of different colors to choose from. Go to Target and spend a good $15-$20 on a random brand sports bra, go here and you can get two adidas sports bras in hot pink and blue (or what have you) for the same price. If you are looking for something specific though, (little black dress, a certain color pair of heels to match a dress, navy blue slacks in your size), skip it & go to the mall. read more

It's a bit small and messy but in a fix will have some stuff. The customer service is questionable. Most of the cashiers are nice, this one worker named Lori seemed super lazy. I asked her for help and she passed me off to two other employees before giving up realizing she was the only who could help me, omg! I could see the lazy so hard in her eyes.
