There was a purse that was attached to a security thing so I was able to pick up the purse and look at it but not hold it in front of the mirror. Of course I need to see if it's comfy on my shoulder and if it looks cute in the mirror. So I had a lady help me unlock it from the little security string, she said in a rude tone "this isn't locked" um yes it is. Then I didn't want the bag, which is why I tried it on in the first place to know if I wanted it or not, she HEAVILY SIGHED and rolled her eyes. Like girl i'm not gonna spend my money on a bag if it's falling off my shoulder. Like she was hesitant to even let me look in the mirror, so unprofessional and rude. Been shopping there for years since it's in my neighborhood. Good selection of shoes and clothing. I do like some of the household sprays, shampoos, misc. Couple that with TJMaxx in Norwalk and you can find lots of seasonal goodirs! I find the staff very accommodating, considering the pressure they're under with the amount of customers they deal with. read more

Rude cashiers, especially one older lady who was arrogant. Store was sloppy and not well taken care of. Messy. Some good buys in men's wear and also toy dept is OK. Women's wear is a complete zero. Housewares a mess. Rug aisle completely messy. What a nuisance to shop there. I hadn't been in at least a year or two and won't be going back for another year or two. I worked in retail for 3 years and I know it's hard and you get a lot of rude customers. But the service at this Marshalls was very rude. Usually the people are nice but this one cashier Manadriana was very RUDE. First when I came up I said hi and tried being nice she just blew me off and I just figured she was having a bad day then when I asked to make a return and a purchase together she said ok. But then I notice I was only getting the return so I mentioned it again and she gets mad and said "I asked you but you said no" and says it twice. I said sorry thinking maybe I did. Then once I finished my purchase I ask for my old receipt she gets angry again and says "I already gave it to you!" so I figured maybe I have it in my pocket. As I was about to leave she said "o...it's right here" at this point I did say something "o so you did have it, you don't have to be so rude" and just left. Glad that my hometown has an above average Marshalls! I had a HomeGoods/Marshalls gift card to burn (lucky me, I know) and did pretty well for myself here. I'm a sucker for all of the gift wrap and discounted holiday decor at this time of year so I stocked up for the 2019 festive season. Knowing me, I'll completely forget once I stash it away and get really excited to rediscover my Marshalls holiday finds when December rolls around. They've also got a pretty solid bath & body section and I picked up an aromatherapy diffuser which I've already set up. Great stuff for kids/babies too - nabbed a couple little gifts for my baby niece! Parking is easy peasy - nice big lot - and it's a central location on Westport Ave. read more

I like this Marshalls. The employees are friendly, the lines always go by quickly (even around the holidays), parking is a breeze, and the huge signs help me to find whatever I need. The only issue I really have about this Marshalls is the purse section. It is very bare compared to other locations. They also keep the nicer purses all the way in the back behind all the cheap ones so that they can secure them to the wall. I think this is really stupid because it makes them very hard to see. I also feel like sometimes the items in the store are really jumbled. You can probably blame that on the customers, but I do wish there was someone going around the review the aisles and make sure everything is in place. read more

I was shopping for a birthday present for a friend at Marshall's the other day and not only were the shelf's and aisles a mess, the employees were so rude. They were NOT willing to help me at all. To add to the bad experience, I went to use the bathroom and one toilet was clogged with toilet paper, the other was "out of service", and the third was covered in shit. When I informed a worker, she told me it wasn't her "job" to clean up the bathrooms. Lastly, I literally caught one of the employees (i couldn't see the name tag very well but it looked like an "A" name, angelica or an abigail ?) sneaking something into a pocket. If the employees steal, that says a lot about a store.. just my two cents. Not going here again. read more

This store has tons of guy clothing. Typically when you go into a clothing store the men selection is slim to none but in here it's the complete opposite. With new shipments every week the inventory stays replenished. I purchased a shirt from here and threw out the receipt by accident, they not only honored my purchases but made it completely hassle free. read more

The cashier was rude and unprofessional towards me when I visited the store today. I went to pay and asked if I wanted the 10% off if I opened a card. Stupidly, I said sure. Then once she asked for me to enter my social security #, I said "no I'm not going to do this." She gave me a look & said "all I'm asking is for you to enter it in the machine." Even me saying "no" a few times, she kept insisting and then said "call your mom or someone if you don't know it." First off, my mom passed away over a year ago and secondly, her telling me what to do and forcing me to give my SS # was wrong. Finally, she got my point, I paid, she said "have a good day" and I didn't say anything back because of her attitude towards me. read more

This store is horrible! I bought a bathing suit and sandals from here and the bathing suit didn't fit so I went back to do a refund. I showed my original receipt and the clerk asked for the credit card that I used to make the purchase with in order to issue my refund. So I swiped and she said the refund should go through. I left the store, tossed out my receipt because I didn't need it anymore. 2 days later I notice my credit card has a charge on it from Marshall's instead of a refund! I go into the store in person and ask if they can refund me for the bathing suit and then for the extra charge they accidentally posted to my account and the manager said she couldn't do anything about it. I asked if she could use my credit card to scan their system and see what I purchased but she said that's not possible on their machines. Her name was Marguerite. She is by far the most incompetent manager I have ever dealt with in my life. She knows she is so bad as a manager that she even suggested that I come in the next day in the morning when the main manager is present because she couldn't help me out at all. I hope someone above her reads this review and fires her because this is not at all how you treat customers! This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever dealt with in returning an item. Now I am charged $46 for a $23 item, and I don't even have the bathing suit anymore! IT's back in Marshall's store! They basically just robbed me $46!!!! read more
